Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing this cute little sea turtle with you.  He's from the set Sea Critters Complete Set but can also be found individually in Turtle Set.

You can find them all at I Brake for Stamps.

Do you want to know how I made the fun anchor?
Check this out...it's super simple.

What you'll need...
Paper
A die
Glitter
Die cutting machine

1. Remove the film from one side of the tape and place it on your paper.  Cover a large enough area to fit your die.

2. Use your die cutter to cut out your shape.

3.Peel of the film and pour the glitter over it.  Do this over a piece of scrap paper so that you can dump the excess glitter back in your container.

4. Shake it off and glue it to your project!

I Brake For....Acorn Wreath!

Hello stampers and Happy Fall!  I hope you are all welcoming this beautiful season with an abundance of color! Nancy here today and  I have a very nice fall card to show you today.

The image is called Acorn Wreath and can be found here.  I just love wreath stamps and this one can be used in a variety of ways - fall birthday, welcome, thank you or even fall weddings.

I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with copics.  I kept it a bit clean and simple, letting a strip of patterned paper and a leaf embossing folder do the work.  And the colors really pop against the crisp white cardstock.

Take a look over at the IBFS store  - they have a wonderful selection of wreath stamps  (I think I counted about 15!), along with some great fall and winter holiday images.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I Brake for Dapper Skeletons!

Here's a Halloween card featuring the ever-so-dapper Skelly Tonn from the Randi Dandi Halloween Series 1 Collection of rubber stamps by Rick St. Dennis that are available exclusively at I Brake for Stamps.

Skelly Tonn was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts) and colored with Copic markers. The tip of his cigarette, eyes, and nose apertures of the skulls on his bowtie and fashionable cufflink received dabs of red, orange, and yellow glitter pens. The skulls, buttons, and his cigarette holder were coated with several layers of clear glaze pen to add dimension and shine. The Skelly Tonn image was then fussy-cut and edged with a black marker.

I selected a sheet of patterned paper, then placed the Skelly Tonn image upon it. I loosely traced Skelly Tonn's shape onto the patterned paper using a charcoal pencil, lifted the image, then used the charcoal pencil to color the traced image. When I was happy with the coverage, I also used the charcoal pencil to edge the image panel. The image was loosely adhered inside the charcoal-colored area.

Orange cardstock was cut and folded to form the card. The image panel was adhered to it. A scrap of the excess cardstock was die-cut with the words from a  Happy Halloween sentiment die set. Pale yellow-orange vellum was die-cut with the shadow dies from the Happy Halloween sentiment die set and the vapor die from a cauldron die set. The vapor die-cut was adhered behind the cigarette on the Skelly Tonn image, which was then more firmly adhered to the image panel. The orange Happy Halloween sentiments were adhered to their vellum shadow counterparts, which were then adhered to finish the card.

I Brake for Stamps has a huge and varied collection of rubber stamps that you ought to check out right now. Just so you know, I Brake for Stamps ships internationally!

I Brake for Cheerful thoughts!

Hello Crafty friends! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u.
I am here today to share with you a simple Fall card I made using a Leaf punch from Fiskars and a sentiment stamp from I Brake for stamps from the Inspirational Plate #2 set.

What is great about this set is that it will work in any season. The designer paper is actually from my scrap drawer. I found three coordinating pieces to create this Fall design.

I added some washi tape and as a finishing touch and a few Nuvo drops as embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Beautiful Birds!

Hello and happy Saturday!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my cousin.
She's having some medical problems and I wanted
her to know that we're thinking of her and behind her
all the way!

I used this stunning bird duo from I Brake for Stamps.
There are 9 total stamps in the set.

On the inside I used an appropriate phrase from the same pad of paper that the designer paper came from. This is what she needs to hear right now.

I distressed some of the edges of the paper to give it a more shabby chic look.

I Brake For....Hyacinth!

Hello stampers,  Nancy here today with a card that features one of the new floral images recently released.

The stamp is called Hyacinth and can be found here as a single stamp, or part of a larger set called  Lovely Florals found here.  All are beautifully drawn and color up quickly.

I used three blue copic markers for the blossoms and three YG markers for the leaves and stem.  The background was embossed with a swiss dot folder but it did not stand out against the base card so I rubbed a white pigment inkpad over it to bring out the embossing.  Some lace ribbon and blue raffia were added for more texture.  I know sequins are all the rage now, but I just don't like the look of them and I have a ton of rhinestones so I added those to the bottom - they were clear and I colored them with a blue copic marker to coordinate with the rest of the card.

Usually with flower images I color up a few test images before making the final color decision.  In this case I colored up one using RV copic markers.  It came out very nice so I decided to make a second card, using the same design layout and base card.  Here is that version.

I hope you like what you see here.  Hop on over to the IBFS store to find this and thousands of other stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today!

I Brake for Chocolate...

Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you a cute Halloween card I created using two colors of Distress Oxides and two stamps from I brake for stamps.

When I saw this cute little image with only Cat's paws showing I knew this sentiment would be purrrfect...

The image is called Guess Who and the sentiment is called Smell my feet. I created the background by using two distress oxide colors, Wild Honey and Fossilized Amber.

I also added some washi tape and a cute metal embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by.

I Brake for Ghosts and Pumpkins!

Pumpkins are popping up in local grocery stores! Today I found the season's first apple cider, but this week's temperatures are going to be in the 80s. I am very ready for fall, I wish the weather would agree with me! :D

Hannah here, from Fanciful Spaces, I come to you bringing a fall/Halloween themed card! I had quite a bit of fun painting this card. I used the Large Ghosts & Pumpkins rubber stamp, however, there is also a digi version as well!

Most of the image of this card was painted using Distress Ink, I did use Zig Clean Color Brush Markers on the leaves of the pumpkin. The rest of the panel was colored using Distress Oxides, I took photos of some of the steps I used to achieve the look. To finish off the card I ran it through my die cutter to give the edge a stitched effect using a rectangular stitched die. I also embossed the edges black, I feel like just finished off the card, like a period at the end of a sentence!

Colored image.

Ink Splotched Black Soot Distress Ink.

Imaged masked out with Post-It Tape.

Distress Background with masking removed.

I just LOVE the look of the background, and doing it in layers allows for a lot of creative movement. I did lose the "Boo" sentiment from the stamp. but I was OK with that, the image is just so adorable as it is.

There are SO many Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving themed stamp sets in stock at I Brake For Stamps, and they ship out REALLY quickly! While I wouldn't wait to place your order (crafting takes time, after all) there is PLENTY of time to place your order and take advantage of the vast amount of styles available! I can't wait to see what you create!

I Brake for Ruff birthdays!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the dog from Animals Complete Set available at I Brake for Stamps.
He can be found separately as Dog Set as well.

I love joking about getting older on cards.
I also love puns so this verse is just perfect.

I used the fire hydrant and another of the sentiments on the inside.
