Hello and happy Saturday! 

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my cousin.

She's having some medical problems and I wanted

her to know that we're thinking of her and behind her 

all the way!

I used this stunning bird duo from I Brake for Stamps.

 There are 9 total stamps in the set.

On the inside I used an appropriate phrase from the same pad of paper that the designer paper came from. This is what she needs to hear right now.

 I distressed some of the edges of the paper to give it a more shabby chic look.

I Brake for Cows!!

Today I'm sharing a card that may be for a friend who's feeling a bit down but the card is still quite fun.

Awww....how fitting is this...the stamp name is Cute Cow.  The verse is called Herd You Were Down.   I do live in the country but have never been a farm girl.  There's just something about a cow though!

I work with a woman who just broke her ankle.

I'm thinking this may end up in her mailbox.

The clouds are called...LARGE THUNDER CLOUDS.

On the inside I use a verse from EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I Brake For Dogwoods!

Today I'm sharing a get well card with you.

I used a beautiful new image I got from I Brake For Stamps.

It's called LARGE DOGWOOD.

I also finally got brave enough to try out the new

 BISTER stains IBFS is offering.

I've been putting it off because I was so unsure about how to use them and if I'd be able to pull it off.  I did a small 2" sample to practice and almost instantly decided you really can't screw it up!  There's no wrong way for it to turn out.  I used the blue and yellow on my card this time.  It was so easy.  All I did was mist my paper with water, drop a couple of specks of the powders onto the paper.  I then just picked it up and tilted it this way and that until the entire thing was covered. After the paper was completely dry I stamped the image and verse which is from

EVERY DAY PHRASES. 

I then colored in the flowers with Copic markers until they stood out a bit from the background.

I Brake For Doctors and Nurses!

Hello everyone! 

Recently my daughter's dance teacher had an illness and we wanted to cheer her up.  I've made her many cards through the years but they've always been dance themed so it was fun to do something a little different for her.

I apologize for the crooked verse.  I had already glued the paper down so I was kind of out of luck without redoing the entire front.  Oh well.  It gives it that "personal, homemade" touch right??

I Brake For Buttercups!

Hello everyone!

 Today I'm sharing a beautiful floral image from I Brake For Stamps with you.  I chose to use only a portion of it to make my blocks but it's called BUTTERCUPS and you can see the whole image HERE.  One of my favorite things are honeycomb patterns, beehives and bees so when I chose the yellow buttercups I knew instantly what paper I wanted to use.  I think the flowers are so bright and cheery.  They're sure to make someone's day!

I Brake For Pretty Pink Flowers!

Hello everyone!

Doesn't everyone love flowers? 

This beautiful pair of blossoms is from I Brake For Stamps and it's called FLOWERS.

I love that with all the flowers in the world they literally come in every color imaginable.  You can choose any color you're in the mood for.  Today, I was in the mood for pink.  I used my Spellbinders Rose Creations dies and a brad to recreate a 3-D flower to match the stamped ones.  The embossing on the leaves was done with a Cuttlebug folder as were the two panels.
This card would be perfect for almost any occasion!

I Brake For Nurses!

Hello everyone!!

Today I'm sharing a card that my friend asked me to make. 

She works for the county in early intervention childhood services and they have an intern that is leaving because she got accepted to nursing school.

She asked for a card that the girls in the office could give her.

Who better to send her off to nursing school than NURSE STELLA!!

Isn't she a riot!

The school colors are green, white and black which is why I chose this paper.  I also found as I was flipping through my paper pads that I had this tan polka dot paper that looked like a band-aid.  I debossed it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, used a corner rounder on the corners and I voila!  I had a band-aid.

This would also make a great get well card don't you think?

I kept the inside simple to give them room to sign and personalize the card.

I Brake For Ripe Red Apples!

Hello everyone! 

 Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a friend. Her husband recently had surgery and there were complications. He's now going to need months of therapy and though he's expected to make a full recovery they have a long road ahead. 

 

 This beautiful image is from I Brake For Stamps and it's called Apples on Stem.

Inside I used one the four stamps from the set Thinking, Happy, Get Well, Thanks.
