I Brake for Poppies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a co-worker that retired last week.
She was a beautiful, sweet woman and so I wanted a pretty card to send her off.

I used 4 different stamps/sets from I Brake for Stamps on her card.

This was a very large card...8 1/2" x 5 1/2".
I needed it to be large so that all of her co-workers could sign it.

I Brake for Iris Flowers!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  My iris flowers are just starting to grow in my front garden bed, and it inspired me to use this Iris Stamp!

I colored it with alcohol markers, then completely fussy cut it out with scissors and a craft knife.  I glued the base of the stem with wet glue, directly to the paper, then used foam squares under the flowers to add dimension.

The background circle is also stamped, and is a cut out from a previous I Brake for Stamps project where I created a frame.

I’m not ready to send this card yet, so I left the sentiment off. However there is a space right at the base of the flower where I will add it when the time comes.

The stamps I used today can be found in the I Brake for Stamps store.

Thank you for visiting today! Happy Stamping!

I Brake for Sunflowers!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing another thank you card that I made for a teacher I work with.
I've used

I really like this stamp and can maybe even see myself stamping it twice in the future and cutting and popping up some of the leaves.  I think that would be great to add some dimension.

I Brake for Easter Eggs!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I need to make quite a few Easter cards this year, as my stamping group is sending cards to residents at an assisted living center.  So, I decided to make it easier and make some multiples. Same, but different.

I started by choosing three scraps of patterned paper.  I stamped my Easter eggs on each and trimmed them out.  (This stamp comes together with the sentiment, but I went ahead and cut them apart to make it more versatile.)

Then, I stamped the eggs and sentiment onto colored cardstock and die cut them different ways.  I paper pieced in the patterned eggs and added stickles glitter glue as an accent.  I finished the cards by doing some simple layouts using all pastel colors, and some embossing folders, too.

Thanks for visiting today!

I Brake for Bees!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a thank you card.  My birthday was on Thursday and I needed a thank you card for someone that gave me a gift.

I used two images from MS89 Full Plate.
It's from the STAINED GLASS line at I Brake for Stamps.
I'm on my way to owning just about all of them!

I used a smaller bee on the inside that coordinates with the large image on the front of the card. It's difficult to see but there is white glitter on the bees wings.

I Brake for Spring Bouquets!

Hello from desing team member, Heidi!  I hope you are well.   Easter is on its way and I wanted to use a lovely Spring Floral Corner stamp.  It is a whole Easter bouquet!

I colored this with alcohol markers.  When it was first stamped, it would be easy to think it was too complicated of an image to color.  However, I just took it in steps, coloring just one flower type at a time.  That made the work so much faster and it was really enjoyable to color this!

Since I was coloring one, why not make two?  That way, I got to try more color combinations.

You can buy these stamps at the I Brake for Stamps store:

I Brake for Birds!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  Bird stamps are some of my favorite stamps, and this one is no exception!

I stamped the bird with brown ink and colored it lightly with chalk pastels.  This may be an “old” way of coloring, but it is still really effective, not to mention, fast and easy!  I then fussy cut out the bird.

The patterned paper fold I did is called the drapery fold, and you can find instructions on how to do this here, although there are a lot of different ways to do this.  I love the elegant look.

I then used some scraps of the same pattered paper, and a couple small stamps from the same set, and decorated the inside of my card.

The stamps I used today can be purchased at the I Brake for Stamps store.

Thanks for visiting the blog today!  Come back again soon for more inspiration from the rest of the design team!

I Brake for Elvis on Film!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Happy Birthday...to you!
Happy Birthday...to you!
(said in Elvis's sultry voice)

I'm sharing a birthday card that I made using a few different stamps from I Brake for Stamps.

I used:
and

To make this card I stamped the film strip first.  Next I stamped the images from the Elvis sheet that I wanted.  I measured the window inside the film strip and cut around each image so that it would fit in there and look like they were part of the film stamp.
