Under the Sea Card Making

Hello from design team member, Heidi!

I had a few scraps left from some backgrounds I made previously, and I don’t like to waste these.  I found some small fish stamps in my I Brake for Stamps collection to use up every bit of background.  Then I just fussy cut them out.  I loved the way the first turned out with some interesting texture and markings.

The other background was made a while back with alcohol inks.  This is one that I just loved too much to use, which is also a terrible habit!  You can see that I am really working on reforming my bad habits!

Here are the stamps I used for this project:

Brayer Background Cards

  Hello from designer, Heidi.

I have two cards to share today that both use an easy technique my friend taught me called Bouncing Brayer.  All you do is ink up your brayer (I used a kaleidocolor inkpad here, but any dye ink will work fine) and then you bounce in along your glossy cardstock until you like the way it looks.

For backgrounds like this, I often like to stamp simply over top.  I chose some great stamps from the I Brake for Stamps line and stamped right over top using Archival ink.  I think they both turned out great!  I chose to make these both birthday cards as I completely depleted my supply by giving all mine to a local charity.

Here are links to the stamps I used.

Thank you so much for visiting today!
