I Brake for Cherry Blossoms and Bamboo Stalks

Hello, Braker Fans! It's me Cathy, back with another DT card for you this week. I used some stamps from my Asian Stamp set again. This time I paired two stamps using the Mini Cherry Blossom to create my own background paper and the Large Bamboo Stalks as my focal point.

I used my Glimmer Mist and Distress Ink wet technique again for my motif so head over to my blog for all the details.

See you next week...

Put On the Brakes for Getting Old!

Ah, we ALL are getting older -- and it seems it is happening faster these days! Ha!!
This cute young thing is available in the Seniors Full Sheet as well as individually HERE. Meet Hangover Hannah!

I paired her with a fun sentiment (come on, admit it....you've thought it!) and colored with Copic markers. The large background banner was hand cut and then embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. The background paper has been in my stash forever and is by Provo Craft. A couple of Primas, a little Kaiser Pink Pearl and Hannah is ready to start her day. Click on the photo for a close-up!

And by the way, I LOVE my mother and would be honored to be like her ;)

Thanks for stopping by today!

I Brake for Baby Buggies

Hi, Braker Fans. Today I have a cute baby girl card to share with you. I used a little paper engineering to craft this card.

And the inside features a sweet Baby Buggy stamp. This is available in rubber or digi form in the store.

I Brake For Old People

{Jane Bosi}  Today, I'm sharing a fun card that uses a new technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter!  It's called Embossed Puzzel and I think it makes the perfect background for THIS funny Humourous Senior!!  If I had to give him a name, it would be Frank.  What do you think?  I'm always struggling, like many, for a masculine card, but I think this one fits the bill!!!

While I have your attention, don't forget to play along in the MONTHLY I Brake For Challenges Challenge!  This month, the theme is anything goes--just use at least one stamp from IBFS.  There's a prize to be had, so won't you play along??

I Brake For Ghosts

I have been spending some time in my craft room which is my favorite thing to do.  It is my way of relaxing.  I got some new stamps from I Brake For Stamps and have been itching to make some cute halloween cards.

I shared one last week and here is my other one.  I love to combine techniques to make interesting cards.  I hope you like this one.

The stamp is called Ghost.  It reminded me so much of my nephew Max (who will be receiving this card).

Check out my website for all the details.  Have a great Sunday!

I Brake For....Scary teachers!

Unfortunately for me school is just around the corner.  I work in the special ed. dept. in an elementary school so summer time is my time!!
I know this lady might not be what you think of as a teacher but when I got this verse and saw Stella she reminded me of my second grade teacher. She had long, claw-like nails that she would drum on your head while you were thinking of the answer to her question. Since I work in a school I ALWAYS need school themed cards. Can't wait to give this one to someone.

If you like this you can find the stamps at I Brake For Stamps.
The verse is called Teacher
and the image is called Struttin' Stella

I Brake for Cocker Spaniels

Hi, Braker Fans. I have a tag to share with you today that I plan to use for a scrapbook layout. As all of my children are grown adults with growing families of their own, I continually add pages to my scrapbooks of their younger years so they can share them with their children.

One of our family pets during their childhood was a Cocker Spaniel named Buffie and it just so happens that the IBFS store has a Cocker Spaniel stamp which is so cute.

I made a tag that will become part of the LO and I am using the stamp to create a custom background paper as well. These types of stamps are so versatile.

To see more details on my tag check out my blog.

That's all for me today...see you next week.

I Brake For Bears

I love this cute little pirate bear from Rick St. Dennis.
He was so fun to color.  I used my copics and spica pen to color him.
The background is done with a technique called Pulled Colors.

I don't do a lot of Halloween cards but I have 2 young nephews that love to get cards on all holidays that it was nice to be able to do a couple for them...stay tuned next week for another :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday.

I Brake for SASSY women!!

I love the twist this verse from I Brake For Stamps takes from the beginning to the end.  You start reading it and think it's going to be a beautiful, inspirational saying...Women are angels....and then you see that THIS woman means business!!  It's appropriately titled Women are angels text.

My card is pretty simple.  The only die I used was the Spellbinders oval and I used an EK Success border punch to make the corners.  Other than that I just added a couple paper flowers and some flat back pearls.
The verse is really the star of this card.

I Brake for Cowboy Boots

Hi, Braker Fans. For my DT project today I made a sweet card with a stamp called "Cowboy Boots." I live on a ranch in Colorado so this stamp is definitely a perfect one to have in my collection. I wear boots and a hat almost everyday for protection because there is always work that needs to be done on the ranch.

Head over to my blog for all the details on my card. See you next week...
