I Brake for Turtley Awesome Cards!

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for stopping by.  I have a very fun kid’s card to share with you today using this really punny and cute Turtle Set.  It comes with three great sentiments.

I do appreciate stamps with the wider lines, as you can color it more quickly because it is easier to stay in the lines.  I trimmed out the turtle with scissors.  I created a layout using some summer themed patterned papers, making sure to add a navy mat to each portion - to make them stand out more and give them a finished look.

Remember, the I Brake for Stamps online store is always open to peruse over 3000 stamps!

Have a wonderful day!

I Brake for Oak Trees!

Hello!  I am sharing a card made with the Large Oak Tree stamp.  It is such a fantastically detailed stamp, and I decided to use kraft colored pigment ink.  The thank you sentiment circle, which is part of a set of sentiment stamps, was stamped in brown pigment ink onto coordinating patterned paper.

Thanks for visiting the IBFS Design Team blog today.  Remember, the store is always open.

I Brake for Beautiful Ballerinas!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a Dutch Fold card that I made using a ballerina that can be found 3 ways at I Brake for Stamps.

I have the full sheet because let's face it...they're all awesome stamps and I had to have them all.

I have a few types of cards that are my favorite to make.  I love masculine cards, nautical, funny and dance.  I'm not a dancer but my daughter was for 14 years. She just graduated and is heading off to college.  She doesn't plan to dance at this point.  She wants to get settled in and see how things go.  I'm hoping she'll take it back up though because she has such a talent.  I'd love to see her up on stage again.

As I said...she's heading off to college in just a few weeks. Please don't judge!!  This is the card that I plan to send her for Valentine's Day with a little care package.  Yes, I'm planning that far ahead.

I use Timehop for my social media and it just popped up that 4 years ago she got her first pair of Pointe shoes and that she was going to wear them out before her summer workshop even started. Her final Pointe dance this year was nothing like the beautiful ballerina you see here.  They did a Tango!  Yes, a tango.  It was amazing!

I haven't done anything to the inside of the card yet.  If I were to fill it out right now I might embarrass her...insert mom with "ugly crying face" here!

I Brake for Canoes!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  One of my favorite places to visit is a lake where I can go boating.  This card reminds me of it.

I colored the stamp with alcohol markers.  I added some glitter pen horizontally to some parts of the water to make it shine.  I added a detail photo where you might be able to see it, but in real life, it is very pretty!  I have this fun canoe paper to pair my image with, as well as wood-grain embossed card and wooden arrow shape.

You can find the Canoe Scene stamp in the I Brake for Stamps store.  Thanks for your visit today.  Come again soon to see more inspiration from the IBFS Design team!

I Brake for Pansies!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  We have had such a wet summer this year and I noticed that my pansy pot I planted in spring has just now faded.  This year, I got the mixed colors, as I really like the unusual ones.  While my first thought for pansy is always purple, today I colored the Three Pansies stamp in yellow and pink.

I finished the card with lattice patterned papers and a lattice embossing folder.  The I Brake for Stamps online store is always open!  Thanks for your visit today, and I hope you will come back again soon for more inspiration from the design team.

I Brake for Thank You Cards!

Hello from design team member, Heidi! I don’t know about you, but my most-needed card type is Thank Yous!  I picked out this pretty Thank You Flourish sentiment stamp and combined it with Bird Sheet 141A.

I stamped my sentiment and die cut it out.  I then stamped my little tiny chickadee all over the background with a grey-brown pigment ink.  I also colored a bird and cut him out to perch right there on the sentiment.

When making one card, why not make two?  I used patterned paper, more stamps from the bird set and the same basic layout and now I have two cards for my stash. I’m sure they won’t last long since I was very short on Thank Yous.

All the stamps I used can be found the in I Brake for Stamps store!  Come back again soon for more inspiration from the entire design team!

Happy Stamping!
