I Brake for Happy!

Hello from Design Team member, Heidi!  I’d like to show you another card idea using the Bubble Wrap, Lattice and Flowers stamp set available at the IBFS store.

__________________________________

I’ve used this set quite a bit lately.  I first stamped with the lattice stamp using navy ink right onto some green patterned paper.  I then used the rock n roll method to stamp the flowers.  If you don’t know this technique, you just first ink up your stamp first with the lighter color, then roll just the outside of the stamp onto the darker color.  It’s a fun and easy way to get a color gradient.

I die cut the happy word in both navy blue and white glued them together.  I think this is a happy card!

Thanks for coming to the blog today!  Come back again soon for more inspiration from the team.

I Brake for the Liberty Bell!

Hi everyone and happy Monday! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. With the 4th of July just around the corner, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite stamps to use for Independence Day! This is a stamp that I have had for a while, but it is classic and I love it!

The image is called Liberty Bell and is perfect for your 4th of July celebration cards.  I colored and fussy cut the Liberty Bell and adhered it to a colorful background.  The sentiment is simple and says it all...FREEDOM!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Stained Glass FLowers

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card with you.  I have been fairly obsessed with the stained glass line at I Brake for Stamps.

This is the newest one that I've added to my collection.

I stamped the image with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I used water color pencils to color it in.  I also went over the flowers with Wink of Stella but it doesn't show up in the photos.

I Brake for Trillium

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I’m glad you stopped by today, because I made a card with one of my very favorite flowers - Trillium!  These remind me of walks in the woods with my grandmother.  She knows what all the wildflowers are called!

I colored the image with alcohol markers.  White flowers can be tricky. I decided to add light grey shading to the interior just along the lines, yellow on the stamens, and left the rest uncolored.  Since there are so many leaves and I added sky, it looks complete to me.

I really appreciate your visit today!  Come back to the IBFS blog often for new inspiration from the design team, or visit the store now.

I Brake for gratitude!

Hi everyone and happy Monday! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I have been a little under the weather for the last few days and my creativity has suffered. So I decided to keep it simple this week and create a CAS thank you card.

The Thank so much stamp is from the Inspirational Plate #2 set and the purple flower stamp is called grunge lettered flower. This card came together very easily. I stamped the flowers using wilted violet distress oxide ink and the thank so much sentiment with Black archival ink.  To finish off the card I added some black Nuvo Crystal drops.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for cool Circles!!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing 2 thank you cards that I made for people/organizations that gave my daughter scholarships at her Senior Awards.

I've used

I colored all the little circles with Copic markers and then highlighted them with two different shades of Stickles.

There are little dots around the ring and I placed a rhinestone in varying sizes on each one.

The insides are both blank right now but I will stamp a simple thank you and my daughter can write a personal note to each person.

I Brake for Clean & Simple Snowdrops...2 ways

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I have two clean and simple cards today, both made from the Bubble Wrap, Lattice and Flowers sheet.

__________________________________________________

For my first card, I stamped the snowdrops, colored them with markers, then masked it off with thin copy paper.  I stamped over top with the bubble wrap image in light pool ink.  I finished the card off by framing the image in dark grey and adding score lines to my card base.

The second card was a lot of fun to stamp!  I used a light green ink called applemint. I stamped the flower for the background repeatedly in the second generation to get a very light, clean look. I added the heat embossed sentiment and fussy cut snowdrop image to complete the look.

If you are not familiar with the term “generation stamping,” it just means that you ink your stamp, stamp once on scrap paper, stamp without reinking immediately onto your panel.  Many inks can get a second, or even a third generation of stamping without reinking.  It’s a great way to stretch your inkpads so you get more colors!

Thank you for your visit today!

I Brake for playing cards...and Luck!

Hello and happy Monday! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u and I am here sharing this fun birthday card that I have had in my mind for a while. I found these little poker chip stickers at a craft sale and they have been sitting in my stash waiting for the perfect card.

When I saw this playing cards background from I Brake for Stamps, I knew exactly what I would do. While the stamp is one piece, it is easy stamped and cut to make four playing cards.  I added distress oxide ink to make the cards look old and added this funny image from half sheet 046.

It is a very simple design, but so fun and will make a perfect birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Birthday Chrysanthemums!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a floral birthday card that I made using two products from
I Brake for Stamps.

I've used November Chrysanthemum -Jumbo
and
Old Gold Fusible Glitter Sheet

I stamped the flower with Versa Mark ink and embossed it with detail white powder.  I then used a re-inker to color in the image.

I only wanted the flower and the leaves so I did a little trimming.
I know that mums are generally a fall flower but I wanted to make this bright and summery for any birthdays that might pop up over the next few months.

I Brake for June Roses!

Hello! I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Heidi and I stamp and blog at My Little Stamping Blog.  I am new to the I Brake for Stamps Design Team, but I have been a long-time fan.     I am very happy to be given the opportunity to share my cards with other IBFS fans!

Today I am showcasing the Flower of the Month - June’s Rose!

I colored my image with alcohol markers, using colors I thought were on the vintage side.  If you look closely, you will see that I outlined the entire image in the lightest yellow marker I have.

I then die cut it, and layered it over a scrap of patterned paper I was lucky to have already cut to this size.  The black border helped finish off the card, and coordinate with the sentiment that I heat embossed in gold.

The stamps I used today are available in the IBFS store.  The rose is available in a regular size and a jumbo version.  The one I used is the regular size.  My sentiment is from the Bubblewrap, Lattice and Flowers set.

Thanks for stopping by!  I will see you again next week, but come back often to see all the creations from the entire IBFS team.  Have a great day!

I Brake for Fish Bait!

Hello crafty friend, it's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. A few weeks ago i brought out my alcohol inks and was playing around with them. Now when you bring out those, typically you are going to want to make several backgrounds. They are a bit messy, so you may as well get the most out of them.

This background is one of the left overs and has been sitting on my desk for a bit.  I thought it kind of looked like a murky pond, so it was time to get out the fishes!

The stamp set i am using is a fun one from I Brake for Stamps. it is called Luncheon meat.

This stamp set works great stamped over alcohol inks, but is also fun to color. I also used some clear nuvo drops for the water droplets which made a nice addition.

They layout was fairly simple. I used one of my nesting die cuts to cut around the image then matted it onto two pieces of coordinating cardstock.

This stamp is a great summer stamp and would also make a fun Father's Day Card.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Poppies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing Poppies with you.

If you like poppies like I do then you should check out the entire line from
I Brake for stamps.

My daughter is graduating in just a couple of weeks and I know we'll be needing some thank you cards.  I kept the design fairly simple in case I decide to mass produce these.  I can always change out the flower color to make each one unique.
