I Brake for Lovers !!!

Hello IBFS fans !!
It's Crystal here hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas as I did. It's time to start thinking about Valentines day cards for your sweetie , so today I made a card using this sweet couple from the Humorous Seniors line from Half Sheet #051
Tip : when I get a sheet of red rubber to add to my collection I always ink it up first and stamp it as a sheet to get a rough idea what the sentiments are ( I don't read backwards in reverse very well haha ) and then I write on the sheet the name of the collect to reference later , I store mine in 81/2" by 11" plastic clam shell containers in my file cabinet

IMG_4382
on to the card ....
today I made a flip style card using an oval die .
IMG_4376

here is my couple colored with copic markers , I put a halo of dots around them and the added tiny floating hearts to show the love

IMG_4380
here are the colors I used for this card
IMG_4374

this is the card with the front flap folded down , I used a love embossing folder on the right side of my front flap

IMG_4375 (1)

fold the flap to the left and this is how you present it

IMG_4376
pull it open to reveal the inside
IMG_4377

so for my inside I did not have a Happy Valentine die cut so I used what I had and created my own version Happy and Birthday was used and the Heart from another set , I cut away the birth part to be left with day .. Happy Heart Day ..Kinda fun , I like it , what do you think does this make you want to make new saying and words to go with your I Brake for Stamps images ????

Thanks for stopping in to see me today , I hope I inspired you to make your sweetie a cute fun card , show some love <3 <3 ...

I Brake For The Outdoorsman Collection

Hi everybody!  Regina here.....

I have a masculine card to show you this week from I Brake For Stamps called Outdoorsman Collection.  This is such a great stamp for the hunters in your life.  It would make a great birthday card, thank you, hello, etc.  I am using this one to thank someone who helped me and also hunts.

I colored this with Zig Real Brush Markers and sponged the background with Memento Desert Sand Ink.  I added Glossy Accents to the glass parts on the compass, lantern and binoculars.  I used a Tim Holtz die.  I thought this looked masculine and like it was written.  Finished off with glitter enamel dots.

I think this one would be a great addition to your masculine stamp collection.

Have I inspired you to make some masculine cards?  This was pretty quick to color, especially with the Zig Markers.  Love how it turned out!  Don't forget your camoflage paper!

I Brake for Wizards!

The Wizard with Crystal Ball (Stampinback) from I Brake for Stamps  is looking at his crystal ball and has predicted that 2016 will be a good year!

The Wizard with Crystal Ball was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) and colored with Copic markers. Buttermilk Spica Glitter and Gold Spica Glitter pens (Copic) were used to add sparkly magic dots issuing from the Wizard's fingers.

"peace, love, joy" from the Christmastime Remnants Rubs (Idea-ology) and "2016" rub-ons (Doodlebug) were applied over the crystal ball. I outclevered myself and it looked wonky, so I used my VersaMark pen (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) and several layers of  Polysparkle embossing powder (Ranger) over the crystal ball to make it look sparkly and dimensional.  Golden Glitz Delicata ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) was sponged around the image panel to add some festive sparkle.

Star-patterned paper from the old and hoarded Happy Hauntings 8x8 pad (Graphic 45) was layered over ledger-patterned paper from an old So Sophie Lost and Found 6x6 pad (My Mind's Eye) according to a sketch I found at Sketch Saturday Challenge BlogThe star-patterned paper was edged with Golden Glitz Delicata ink. The ledger paper was edged with Paris Dusk Memento ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) and Golden Glitz Delicata ink.

The card front was adhered to a yellow card. A scrap of the yellow cardstock was die-cut with the star from the Blueprints Four die set (Die-namics), sponged with Golden Glitz Delicata ink, then adhered to finish the card.

Here's the sketch from the Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog so you can see how I did with it.

I Brake for Beautiful Vintage Roses!

 Hello and happy Saturday!

I hope all of you that celebrate Christmas had a wonderful day yesterday!  My family had a perfect day together!  We're experiencing some unusually warm weather here in the N.E. United States so it didn't quite feel the same but it's not about the weather...it's about being with the ones you love.

The upside of this unseasonably warm weather is that my newly licensed son has some safer roads to drive on.  I'm not sure how my nerves are going to survive the first time he goes out in bad weather!

I made two cards using the same stamp and layout.  The first is a sympathy card because my sister needed one.

The second card is a birthday card for my mother-in-law in January.

I Brake For New Year Bears

Hi Everybody!  Regina here.....

We are almost through the year 2015.  It flew by!  I have heard a lot of people say they did not get a chance this year to make Christmas cards or as many as they wanted to and might send out New Year's Cards.  I am going to do that myself.  I love this New Year Bear by Rick St. Dennis from I Brake For Stamps.  The New Year Bear comes in rubber stamp and digital stamp.  You can order the digital stamp today and have time to color several up and send out first of the year because it will be sent to your email right away.

I colored him with Zig Real Brush Markers.  I think the end result is very similar to Copics but I could color faster with the Zigs.  I will do a separate blog post on what I think about Zig Markers if there is any interest.

I put some Glossy Accents on the hat, bottle and the Cheers die.  I put Diamond Stickles on the banner and used a Sakura Silver Star metallic pen on the diaper pen.

Have I inspired you to make some New Year's Cards?  I love this idea because people won't expect to get a card after the first of the year.

I Brake for Christmas!

Read My Lips Lucille, from the fabulous and funny Humorous Senior Collection of stamps (I Brake for Stamps) wants to know if you've been naughty or nice. She's one of Santa's secret agents and she has to report back to her boss real soon! Can't you see how impatient she is? She's practically tapping her left foot!

Lucille was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko), colored with Copic markers, fussy-cut, and edged with Black Pitt Artist pen (Faber Castell).  Her glasses were colored with a Red Spica Glitter pen (Copic). The clasp of her handbag, her glasses chain, and her sweater clips were touched with gold gel pen. Her handbag, shoes, and glasses (frames and lenses) were coated with several layers of Clear Gelly Glaze pen (Sakura) to add dimension and shine.

The Naughty or Nice theme was reinforced with ledger paper from an old 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye. The other patterned papers are from the Vintage Christmas 6x6 pad (My Mind's Eye). The patterned papers were all edged with Cornflower Blue Archival ink (Ranger).

Red cardstock was die-cut with the Naughty or Nice die (CottageCutz), Alison's Ribbon Borders die (Cherry Lynn Designs), and a Santa die set (QuicKutz). Gold metallic cardstock was die-cut with a buckle die by BossKut.

I Brake For A Happy New Year!

 Hello and happy Saturday!
Today I'm sharing a card using New Years Collage Quarter Sheet.
Even though Christmas is over by New Year's Eve I thought this would be pretty colored in red and green.

In the corner I used a little Wild Orchid paper flower. ( Deep Ivory Cherry Blossom 10pk.)

As usual this has been a very busy holiday season but it's also been very enjoyable.  I hope you all have a very happy New Year!

I Brake For Snowboarding Bears

Hi Everybody!  Regina here....

I think I am probably finished with the Christmas cards this year so now it's time to move on to the fun winter images.  I am using an image from I Brake For Stamps called Snowboarding Bear, by Rick St. Dennis. It comes in Rubber Stamp or Digi.  I love that you can get most of the images from I Brake For Stamps in both rubber and digi so if you need an image right away, you can choose the digital image option and have it emailed if you can't wait for the stamp to be mailed.

The main difference in the girl bear version and the boy is that I used Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints for the girl and Kuretake Zig Real Brush Markers for the boy.

I did a little bit of sponging with some gray distress ink to give some shadow and depth.  I added glossy accents to the board and goggles to add some shine and dimension.

I hope I inspired you to start thinking about your winter themed cards.  This would make a great image for a boy or girl's birthday that falls during the wintertime.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I Brake for Christmas Wishes!

Here's my latest holiday card featuring Good Morning Sunshine from the fabulous and funny Humorous Senior Collection of stamps (I Brake for Stamps). I think Good Morning Sunshine is incredibly versatile and can see myself using her for all sorts of projects from birthday to congratulations to snarky cards.

Good Morning Sunshine was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) onto Neenah cardstock, colored with Copic markers, fussy-cut, and edged with a Black Pitt Artist pen (Faber Castell). Good Morning Sunshine was also stamped onto a patterned paper from the Christmas Wish 6x6 pad (My Mind's Eye) because I wanted to paper-piece her bathrobe. The patterned paper was colored and shaded with Copic markers, fussy-cut, edged with the same black pen. The robe was then adhered over its counterpart on the main image. A touch of pink chalk pencil (Derwent) was used to add blush to her cheeks.

The patterned papers, from the 6x6 pad, were layered according to Sketch #391 from Sketch Saturday Challenges. All edges were sponged with Black Soot Distress ink (Ranger).

One of the dies from the Twilight Snowflakes die set (Memory Box) was used to die-cut from white cardstock, which was then adhered in place according to the sketch. Sentiments were added using Christmastime Remnant Rubs (Idea-ology) to finish the card.

Here's the sketch so you can see how I did with it!
