Kite Bear

It's Holly posting today. Have I mentioned how much I love the bears over at I Brake for Stamps? This Kite Bear is no exception, and he is perfect for birthday cards for little boys! I found some blue and green argyle paper and colored the bear and the kite to match, and then used the birthday sentiment from Every Day Phrases to complete this card.

Bringing Comfort

It seems that we all need sympathy cards in our stash, doesn't it?
It is certainly not the type of card we enjoy making, really, because of the occasion.
But it is so much easier for me if I make them when I (thankfully) don't need one.
And that is what I did today.

The sentiment is from a sheet of stamps called Penguins and More from I Brake For Stamps.
Satin-trimmed organdy ribbon, pearls, and an embossing folder round out the supplies.
I hope I don't need to use this card for a long time!

You can read more about this at my blog. Have a wonderful day!

Little Miss Rachel

I created this "Thank you" card for a friend of mine using the adorable "Miss Rachel in the Garden" stamp from I Brake for Stamps. Bunnies seem to be all the rage right now, aren't they? Little Miss Rachel just gives me hope that Springtime will come. It's been such a gray, cold, long winter already and I for one am really ready for warmer, sunnier weather. :c)
Miss Rachel

I used my Letraset Promarkers to color in Miss Rachel in the Garden.

28Jan2011

I stitched around the edges with my sewing machine; I have been doing that a lot lately. I really like the texture and finished look that it adds.

Miss Rachel in the Garden

There are other Miss Rachel stamps at IBFS HERE.

Super fun Spring card to create. I hope it brings you a bit of sunshine today. I appreciate you stopping by. More details about what I've used on the card are available on my blog.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Distressed Cowboy

I went with a masculine, distressed approach for this card. The papers from Cosmo Cricket's Wanted line were a good starting point, but I wanted to mess them up a bit more. I stamped Holly's Tattered Background from I Brake for Stamps onto the patterned paper, and then I used the Distressed Papers technique to age it even further. The cute little cowboy is from Cosmo Cricket's Wanted chipboard sheet as well as the little leaf medallion. I found this cool barbed wire twill at a LSS last year and I just had to use it with this cowboy card.

Stamps: Holly's Tattered Background from I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Vintage Photo distress
CS: Black, Cosmo Cricket Wanted
Other: Cosmo Cricket Wanted chipboard sheet, distress tool, sandpaper, ribbon (Creative Imaginations)
Techniques: Distressed Papers, Worn Wallpaper (Technique Junkies)

Sneak Peek - Mowlene

"When it is 105 degrees in the shade, I don't care what the neighbors say."

Isn't Mowlene a hoot???? ROFL! She is one of the new Humorous Seniors that I Brake for Stamps will have in the store very soon. This is a little sneaky peeky for you. You need to go to the I Brake for Stamps store and check out the rest of the Seniors. You're gonna love 'em!

I stamped Mowlene and colored her with Copic markers before cutting her out. I wanted to have some "grass" for her to mow, so I pulled out my Martha Stewart fringe scissors and just started cutting. I crimped some yellow paper and adhered it to the inside of this die cut window card so they look like mini blinds. The "stucco" look of the house comes from stamping Holly's Tattered Background on the card base - it is such a versatile background! I love it!!

Stamps: Mowlene - available soon! & Holly's Tattered Background (I Brake for Stamps)
Ink: Aqua (Adirondack), Tuxedo Black Memento, Old Paper distress
CS: white, Garden Green
Die Cut: Four Pane Window A2 Card from Creative Cuts and More
Other: butterfly punch, crimper, Martha Stewart fringe scissors, silver pearls, Copic markers

Inspired by Barbie!

I made this for today's Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge 268: Barbie Collectibles . . . I chose this Garnet Birthstone Barbie. I love the rich color of garnet and it was perfect for the image I wanted to use.
My heart image is by I Brake For Stamps and is called Small Primrose Heart Collage.

More details are available at my blog! Have a great Saturday!

Cafe' Fleurs

I have to confess that as soon as I saw this Cafe' Fleurs stamp on the IBFS website that I immediately added it to {what I affectionately call} my IBFS Yumminess Wish List; I think it is just SO incredibly pretty! To me, it epitomizes what I would want a quaint little French cafe' to look like.

Cafe Fleurs

CafeFleurs

I colored it in using my Letraset Promarkers. (I am having so much fun learning to use those!) If you'd like to know more about what products were used, I have it on my blog.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Vintage Bird

Hi, hope you all are having a fab week so far.  Today I would love to show you my latest tag, this is one of my favourite tags so far that I have created, let me know what you think, but honestly I don't think the photo has done the tag any justice, it really looks so much better in real life. My grandson, who is 11, was watching me make this tag and he said to me "Nan when you finish that one, may I have it, it's really cool", I was pretty stoked, so guess what he has it now.

The stamp is from the Birds and Butterflies full sheet and sentiment is from a fabulous Music Collage quarter sheet from I Brake For Stamps, you can check it out here. I just love these stamps.

I have some closeup shots on my blog  and the deets for your info.

Thanks for looking.

I'm Not Messy.. I'm Creative

Hi, Regan Here! So this week I thought I would get out of my box a little. I decided to get a little messy and have some fun. I used some paint, grunge board, scraps and the Be My Valentine Girl Stamp to create this fun little notebook!

The Stamp started like this......

Then I colored her and cut her out. I added some messy paint to her dress and popped her up on some flowers. I also glimmer misted her with Creme De Cocoa. By cutting the girl out you can use her for even more projects! How cute would she be on a birthday card!

For more photos and information please visit my blog!

Birthday Card

For this card I used these stamps:

For the Shape of the card I used the Grand Nestabilities Labels One

Flap Fold Silhouette

The TLC Challenge on Splitcoaststampers this week is to create something with silhouettes. Well......... I only have a million silhouette stamps here, so of course I had to play with this challenge. LOL

I wanted to create one of the cards from the Fancy Folds and Motion CD (this CD is available at I Brake for Stamps - click HERE), and the Flap Fold card looked like the perfect one to combine with silhouettes. I pulled out the Stampinbak silhouettes that I bought from I Brake for Stamps and formulated a plan.

I picked the Floral Silhouette Bouquet and stamped it with blue ink onto some patterned paper. Then I stamped it again with Versamark onto a coordinating patterned paper and brushed it with some shimmmery blue chalk. Cutting the cardstock took longer than stamping and adhering this card together, so it was a nice quick project. And because I didn't add any embellishments, this card will be easy to mail! Gotta love that! :-) Now who should I mail this card to?? Any ideas??

By the way - type in "silhouettes" in the search box and you will see some more gorgeous floral silhouettes from IBFS. Love em!

Stamps: Floral Silhouette Bouquet, Every Day Phrases - I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Marina Mist, Versamark
CS: Marina Mist, White, Annalee (Prima)
Other: shimmer chalk
Technique: TLC308 (SCS), Flap Fold card (Fancy Folds and Motion CD)

Lilac Butterfly

Are you ready for some spring weather?? I know I am. It is a wet, gray, dreary weekend here, and I needed some spring colors to brighten things up. I used a sketch I found on SCS to create this fun Lilac Butterfly card. It is sized to fit in a regular #10 envelope - quite a change from my normal A2 cards, huh?

The sentiment has the Wisped Frames technique around it, and I used the Marker Watercoloring technique on the butterfly. The techniques can be found at the Technique Junkies website and newsletters for subscribers. Both stamps are from I Brake for Stamps. If you are having the same rainy dreary day like I've got, go shopping and find some fun new stamps to play with! :-)

Never Grow Old

Happy Friday!!! {jane bosi}
I'm in love with this card! I made it for a blogger's challenge group and a Brakefast challenge--love it when it works out that way! I was stuck for a snow themed image ....snow.....play....never grow old! It all came together! Beautiful paper from Bo Bunny and a stunning sentiment from I Brake For Stamps--what could be better? The sentiment is called Grow Old and can befound in the Stampinback Phrases section.

Make sure to play over at the Brakefast Club--the current contest is a Winter Themed card--see how easy it can be? You can read all about it here. Rumor has it, there's a great prize to be had. How cool is that?

Have a great night.....

TTFN, Jane

"Hang in There!"

Hello!
True :D here.
I broke out with some pink rubber for today's card.
I used I Brake For Stamps' "Laundry". Isn't it cute? I know...I should be doing cold and frosty cards. Wrong! I do as I please and felt like something bright and warm! :)
I stamped the image on 5 different micro pattered papers form K and Company's ~ Super Pad stack then added some shading, cut them out and glued them to the image that I stamped on the white paper. It was a lot of cutting but I like the effect!
I made my own sentiment in PhotoShop.

I used bits and pieces of bright assorted ribbons for embellishments.

I chalked the sky with I Kan Dee chalks and painted the grass with watercolors. The embossing in the background was done with Tim Holtz "Swirls: folder and around the sentiment I used my Scor-Pal and Scor-Bug.

For all of the details, please pop by my blog.
Thanks again for dropping by:

Love is a Kiss

Hi, Regan here! I wanted to share a card I made with you today and show you the adorable stamp I used called Love is a Kiss!

This stamp is just too adorable for words!

Okay, okay... Here is my card!

I used going gray card stock by Stampin' Up! for the base of my card. I also used Confetti Cream and Real Red card stock by Stampin' Up! The pattern paper is from K&Company and Making Memories. I made the flower using Rose Red card stock by Stampin' Up!, the Tattered Florals Sizzix die by Tim Holtz and Jules Tutorial. I inked up the edges with Tea Dye distress ink by Ranger and Basic Black by Stampin' Up! to give it some grunge and tulle to give it a fun look! I think it is a super cute card and I hope you do as well!

Thank you for stopping by!
