Happy Monday!! Today, I'm sharing my best attempt at another "boy" ish card! I'm not entirely convinced my 15 year old nephew will appreciate the workmanship that went into making it, but I'm quite pleased!
I created my background using a technique called Bleach Blocking. It creates a colorful and texture rich background. I chose my distress inks thinking of a more masculine card......color choices are so important when creating the "feel" of a masculine card, don't you think?
To complete my project, I used this awesome TRIO stamp! I stamped on cream colored card stock using Archival Ink. This is the best permanent/waterproof ink I own! It gives such a crisp image that is plenty black. The only downside, I can see, is that it doesn't work with my Copic markers. But, nevermind that. There are plenty of other ways to apply color! For this card, I used the same distress inks I used on my background and my aqua painter. I wanted just a shadow of the light purple color (dusty concord) around each animal.....The giraffe and tiger both are colored with Rusty Hinge in varying intesity.
To finish it off, I added the "Enjoy" sentiment from Floral Half Sheet 148B. So many good choices on that sheet!!
That's all for me today----have a great one!! Don't forget to be awesome!
