I Brake For......Kerr Jar

Hello my crafty friends!  Nancy here and  I hope all is going well with you.  Are you ready for spring?  it is right around the corner and I can't wait to see the pops of color as the flowers start to bloom.  We planted our annuals in the front last week and it was so nice to see something other than brown in the flower beds.
I have a wonderful spring like card to show you today.  A burst of color in some flowering blackberry /raspberry stems all delightfully placed in a Kerr mason jar:

The image is call Kerr Jar and can be found here in the IBFS store.
It's a wonderful image to color.  I used a mix of copics and prisma pencils for the coloring, sticking with purples and pinks.  The blackberries have a touch of green on them to show they are not quite ripe yet.  I used a pierced oval die for the main image and an EK Success punch for the scallop portion on the bottom.  The paper is from Basic Grey and I had to add a little bling with green rhinestones.
Please be sure to stop by the IBFS store for more wonderfully detailed stamps!

I Brake For Flowers...

{jane bosi}  Happy Monday!  It's time for flowers here on the I Brake For Stamps blog!!  I just can't help it--I love this Kerr Jar image and never tire of looking for new ways to color this beautiful image!

I started by creating a wash of color on the background piece.  then, I colored and trimmed the Kerr Jar image and popped it up on dimensional tape.  It's a great all around image for a birthday greeting, thank you note or just an all around "thinking of you" kind of card!

Have a great day!  Jane

I Brake For Watercolors

{jane bosi}  Happy Easter Week!  It kind of snuck up on me this year so, instead of a cute bunny (get this one....there's only TWO left!) or a little chick  (this one is going FAST!) or these that you can get RIGHT away, this week, I have flowers!

I love this Kerr jar image and I know I've used a bunch, but it's just so darn fun to color!  I was in the mood to water color--I've been working on the no line water color technique.  You can see the ink I used to stamp this so, I'm not quite there, but I like the finished product just the same ;)

Have a great week!  Be Awesome!  Jane

I Brake for Berries!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card with you.  This is one of my favorite images from I Brake For Stamps.  The stamp's called KERR JAR.

I used a paper trimmer to cut the straight lines and then I fussy cut around some of the flowers so that they would overhang the matte.

On the inside I used HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEXT.

I Brake for Berry Blossoms in a Kerr Jar

Good morning peeps....Beth here with another card for you using the Kerr Jar image this is such a lovely image and so fun to color.

I used some brown card stock added a pink designer paper from K&Co and some ribbon on the side.....stamped my image on white card stock and then colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers added some butterfly stickers and used a Spellbinder die to cut it out......next I stamped the sentiment on white card stock sponged a little ink around the edges after using a Stampin-Up punch.

Hope you have enjoyed this pretty bouquet of flowers.

See you next Tuesday.

I Brake For Fall Flowers

{Jane Bosi}

I just needed to color!  I adore this image called, Kerr Jar, from I Brake For Stamps!  Choosing the right colors makes it an incredibly versatile image!

Way back when, I did this one:

It's all springy with a fresh flower feel, bright colors that say sunshine!

This past weekend, it was barely above freezing in my little neck of the woods.  The air is crisp and the smells of fall are all around.  I'm not sure how, exactly, to describe the smell of falling leaves, but I am sure you can use your imaginations.

The flowers, in today's sample, were colored with Copic markers in a more fall like color scheme--can you feel it?

Thanks for looking!
