Stressed......

{Jane Bosi} Who can relate? LOL!! I love the brand new Humorous Seniors!!! This one is called Stressed Estelle, BUT YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THE REST!! LOL!! I fashioned this image into a humorous Valentine for the Hubster. Each year, we have a bit of a competition.....I win on design, but he always blows me away with his wit!! I think I did well this year--all around! Thanks, Estelle! LOL!!! TTFN, Jane

Cute Couple...

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here on this cold Michigan Wednesday.  If you have a little sunshine and warmth to spare would you send some my way?  Burrrr!  Hopefully, this will brighten things up a bit; I have an anniversary card to share with you today.  I've used the Bride and Groom Couple stamp from IBFS and some purdy Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".  I've used my largest rectangle nestie to cut the image out and then cut a black mat with my paper trimmer.  I've added some seam binding and a vintage-looking brad and a bit of bling.  Hope you enjoy seeing it.

Thanks for popping in to see what we've been up to.  I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.

Crafty Hugs,
Robyn

Hi! TGIF- time for a new Card Design!

Hi, Elsa here with another card. By the time I was done using all side punches and nestablility dies on this card it turned out to be a huge card measuring 7x6! I added just a lil' teal in with the black and white to add hint of color.  The hat stamp "Vintage Hats"  -on its own is not a really big stamp but inside the nesty it took a life of its own, ain't it just beautiful? I love this stamp!  The rosettes across the base of the card you can also find at the I BRAKE FOR STAMPS site, they are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
For more details on this card come visit my blog at Just a Few Designs.

Easy Peasy!

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here today.  I've had such a good time mass producing cards this week.  This card is just one set of cards that I created.  This is such a simple card so it was really easy to make a number of them in a short period of time.  They are flat as well, so perfect for sending through the mail.
Once again, I've used my favorite stamp sheet from IBFS.  It's called Inspirational Phrases and it's one I reach for over and over - SO versatile!

Thanks for stopping by today.  We always appreciate you checking out what the DT have been up to.  Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week!

Design Team Call....And, A Little Something....

{Jane Bosi} Today, I have a cute little dressy number! This is my favorite "fashion" image from I Brake For Stamps. I just love how the dress flows.... I'm not a very dressy person in my real life, but if I had a little black (or yellow) dress like this, I'm sure I'd love it! I've completed my card with a few Technique Junkie techniques--the background is called Faux Washi and the image is done with Out of the Box--a simple, yet effective technique. If you'd like more information about these techniques, feel free to visit my blog!

BY THE WAY!!! Have you heard IBFS is having a Design Team Call??? Follow this link for all of the information! And, have yourself an INKY day! TTFN, Jane

Be Mine Valentine

Good morning! Are you ready for a new challenge from the I Brake for Challenges blog? Today's theme is Love, and it's perfect for making some Valentine cards. Can you believe Valentine's Day is only two weeks from now?

For my card, I stamped this gorgeous scalloped heart five times onto a kraft card base. Each heart is paper pieced with a different patterned paper, and I added a few embellishments to several of the hearts. The beautiful sentiment is from I Brake for Stamps' MS102 Full Plate set - a wonderful collection of love-themed sentiments.

Head on over to the I Brake for Challenges blog to see what my fellow DT ladies created. Share your love-themed cards with us while you're there! :-)

Stamps: MS81 Full Plate (scalloped heart), MS102 Full Plate (Be Mine Valentine sentiment) --- I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Dark Chocolate
CS: Kraft, Crazy Love (Bo Bunny)
Other: flowers, button, brad, pearls

Get Well Wishes...

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here today.  I have a Get Well card that I made for a friend of mine.  I hope it brightens her day and lets her know how special I think she is.  I've used 3 different stamp sheets; which happen to be all 3 on my favorite's list.  The outside sentiment came from Every Day Phrases, the lovely butterflies came from Butterfly Kisses, and last but not least...my all-time favorite sheet...Inspirational Phrases.  I use that sheet, it seems, for every card I create!  Very versatile!
I fussy cut the butterflies and only adhered them to the card along the thorax so the wings would be dimensional.

Hope you enjoy seeing it.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  We always appreciate your time.  Have a great rest of your week!

There is a new challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog, and this time we are having fun with Fun or Fancy Fold projects.

I was inspired by the blue background paper that I used here. It reminded me of the beautiful Delft plates that my mother collects. I used this sweet scene from the Rare Image Garden Sheet (I Brake for Stamps) and stamped it in blue. I sponged the edges with some Antique Linen distress ink to give it an aged appearance.

You're wondering what the "fancy fold" part of my card is, aren't you? I used the Double Gatefold Card technique (Technique Junkies), and you can see how this card opens in this picture below:

The sentiment inside is also from the Rare Image Garden Sheet. I love the way this card opens up - so unexpected. :-)

Check out what the other Design Team members created over on the I Brake for Challenges blog. There is still another week left, and we'd love to have you play along!

Stamps: Rare Image Garden Sheet - I Brake for Stamps

Have you seen the new rubber over in the I Brake for Stamps store? This Basket of Heart Scones is one of the newest ones, just in time for Valentine's Day. I had so much fun coloring this one with Copic markers in pastel tones.

I used the Wisped Frames technique (from Technique Junkies) for a soft pinkish hue on the image after I colored it. The sentiment comes from the MS102 Full Plate - a wonderful source of sentiments for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, weddings, and general love cards.

Valentine's Day will be here in less than a month. There are a lot of great stamps for Valentine's Day in the New Items section of the I Brake for Stamps store. Have fun shopping!

The purses are created using various punched shapes and silver pearls, and I stamped this beautiful sentiment from this Victorian Lady plate (MS81 Full Plate from I Brake for Stamps). Butterflies and Banners...Valentine's Day

Hello Everyone, it's Robyn here today. I have 2 Valentine's Day cards to share with you today...
robyn correa

The phrase came from the Every Day Phrases sheet from I Brake for Stamps. It is fast becoming my new favorite stamp set as it's so versatile.

The inside sentiment came from long-time favorite set called Inspirational Phrases (this set is my go-to stamp sheet-I love it!) The butterflies came from the Butterfly Kisses set.

This second card is my favorite... (I've enclosed a video tutorial below)

The outside sentiment also came from the Every Day Phrases sheet. Lastly, here is the inside of the card; which uses the Happy Valentine's Day Bold stamp. You can click on the names to see the whole sheet of each set.

IBFCC #16 - CAS

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!! We are back with new challenges on the I Brake for Challenges blog, and today we are easing back into challenge mode with a CAS (clean and simple) project.

I pulled out this Bird Houses set (btw - it's on sale!) and inked up this cute birdhouse with the birds flying around. I went with some bright colors and I used the Embossed Image technique from Technique Junkies. You can see the woodgrain embossing folder that I used if you look closely at the image.

There's no flourishes or flowers or buttons on this card today. Just a simply tied ribbon is all I used for this CAS card. Head on over to the I Brake for Challenges blog to see what my fellow team-mates came up with. Hopefully we've inspired you to create your own CAS project, and we've love to see what you've come up with. Share your creation for a chance to win some free rubber from I Brake for Stamps! :-)

I Brake for Simple Challenge...

Hello Everyone and a very happy New Year to each of you! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas season with family and friends. It's Robyn here today. I have a CAS (Clean and Simple) card to go along with the first IBFS challenge of 2012. You can see what the other DT member have come up with HERE. Hope you take time to play along; you have 2 weeks after all to make a CAS card and link it to the blog. Any colors or theme will do! Just have fun!

I typically don't "do" CAS as I like lots and lots of layers but sometime you really only have time to sit and create something fast and simple. I do like the clean look though when I've happened along in blog world and see what others create.

My card today is using stamps from 2 sets that I recently got in my DT kit. The sentiment is from the wonderful Every Day Phrases (love!) and the cute little image is from the Chocolate Set of 4 (which is on sale right now by the way). I colored it in using my Letraset Promarkers. I then used my ruler to trace a frame around it. Can't get much simpler than that! =) Hope you are able to play along!

Crafty Hugs,
Robyn

Todays card, I decided to get a little bit "catty" and use this CUTE Cat image called Amun's Eyes. I created the background using the Smooch Painted Texture technique from the December/ January Technique Junkie Newsletter. The other portion of the background uses the stamp called Holly's Tattered Background. The sentiment comes from the Inspirational Phrases Sheet.
