Vintage Valentine

Mmmmm, I feel a swoon coming on! I love the vintage yummyness of this stamp from I Brake for Stamps called Be My Valentine Girl. Doesn't it take you back to your childhood and beyond? I just love it! I couldn't wait to share my DT post with you today!

Vintage Handmade Valentine

I created this card using my Letraset Promarkers for the little gal and then did some paper piecing with the K and Co Lovely paper collection. I die cut a oval from my Nesties to sort of frame the image and added some Dazzling Diamonds around the oval as well as on the hearts. It is a simple card, but I think it's a cutie. Hope you like it too.

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Punchy Gecko

Lookin' for a little sunshine in my corner of the world--I'm officially sick of Wisconsin's cold temperatures!!! I thought some springy colors and a lizard or two would make me feel better! This card uses Gecko and the Punched Windows technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter (August 2009). By the way, did you see that Della now has the TJ Fancy Folds CD up on her website??? I'm so excited about that and slowly makin' my way through all the fabulous projects!
I hope you are having a great day/evening!

Baby, It's Really Cold Outside!

And it IS cold outside! I am sure many of you are having snow and cold today too.  I love it when I am INside! We have a snow day today with -8 windchill (soon to be -25 they say) and almost a foot of snow.

I made this using images from Penguins and More by I Brake For Stamps. I love this set, because it has a lot of different kinds of sentiments for all sorts of occasions. And who doesn't love watching penguins?

For details on how I made this card, have a visit to my blog, Joy in a JAR.
Have a GREAT day!

Pink Carnations

I found some pretty pink scalloped paper in a little packet from Making Memories, and it is just a wee bit longer than my card, so I used the pink color as my inspiration point. The carnations from I Brake for Stamps are watercolored with distress inks, and I added a pale hint of green to the white space around the carnations. After I adhered the colored carnations and the sentiment to the card, I used the Splatter technique from Technique Junkies all over the card. The last thing I added was the the three little pink flowers from Prima.

Stamps: January carnation & Every Day Phrases (I Brake for Stamps)
Ink:Versafine Onyx Black, Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Spun Sugar, Old Paper
CS: watercolor paper, Black
Other: May Arts suede sage ribbon, prima flowers, aquapainter, Making Memories pink scallop paper

07Jan Friends Like You

Isn't she just the cutest?! I really love the S.W.A.L.K. images available at I Brake for Stamps. This image is from the "Friends Like You" set.

Friends Like You
I just had to show a close-up of this cute stamp. My coloring isn't perfect, but I'm learning. Oh, can you see the flocking on the bunny's tail and tummy? He's a sweet little cotton tail. I did a bit of paper piecing on her dress and bows and then added Stickles to the hair bows.

I'm really enjoying these adorable stamps!

Have a wonderful weekend,

"Strip Quilt" Card With Background Stamp

Hello!
True :D here.
Today I wanted to share a set of cards that I made in a strip quilt kind of style. They were a lot of work but fun to do!

First, I stamped the scraps of assorted papers in VersaMark ink then sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set. Then I colored in the leaves and flowers, cut into strips, glued the strips to a piece of cardstock, cut and positioned on the card. I think the results are pretty cool. ;)
I hand drew the sentiments and embossed them as well as the edges of the "quilt".

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Dear Friend

I've been itching to try out my new deer Sizzix die, so when I saw this sketch challenge on SCS, I just had to try it out. I pulled out the Pyrus papers from Basic Grey and cut out a deer from the greenish paper in the collection. Then I ran it through my machine with a music texture plate and did the Cuttlebug Highlights technique on it (from Technique Junkies). Yeah - AFTER I did all that, I realized that the notes are backwards and upside down. OY! Hee hee hee!

I couldn't resist using this sentiment from I Brake for Stamps with this - it's just too perfect! You can find this sentiment on the Every Day Phrases sheet LOL I needed a little extra something, so I used Holly's Tattered Background, also from I Brake for Stamps. I stamped that on the sentiment strip and on the whitish designer paper on the right side of the card. It's subtle but just the right touch I needed.

Valentine's Day Card

Hello Everyone, Robyn here! I had such a fun time creating this adorable little Valentine's Day card using sweet little stamp from I Brake for Stamps called To the One I Love. I think the image is just the cutest ever!

Valentine Card

I'm learning to color with my Letraset Promarkers and am having such a good time with them. I still have loads to learn and that is actually one of my goals this year, but I'm really enjoying it so far. This image was a great one to start off with with these two little cuties. I did a little bit of paper piecing with the background. I added some Webster's Pages trim to the little girls dress to add a bit more frill. The papers are from the Prima Annalee paper collection which I've edged with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Valentine Card 1

I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the flowers and around the edge of the image.

Valentine Card

I tied the seam binding ribbon using my Bow Easy from I Brake for Stamps.

Happy New Year!!!!

Happy New Year, everyone! This is Holly posting, and I'm looking forward to seeing what 2011 brings!

To start off this new year, I'm sharing this adorable New Year's Bear from I Brake for Stamps. He is colored with Copic markers, and I used the Wisped Frames technique from Technique Junkies. The papers are from Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost collection, and I added some pearls and some burgundy wrinkled ribbon (May Arts).

Enjoy this first weekend of 2011! Here's to a great year!

"Dainty Fairy"

Happy New Year Everyone!
True :D here.

Today I am sharing a card I made last week but forgot to post on the team blog. Boy am I glad the busy holiday season is over!  Ugh!   ;)

I used the "Dainty Fairy" stamp from I Brake For Stamps, of course.  ;)

I used Copics to color the image this time. I don't use them that often but really like it when I do. My problem is, that I don't have a large collection of them so don't have all of the colors I would like to use. I had the right colors for this image though. I wanted to match the colors of the large rose.

For the card recipe and all of the details, please come visit my blog.  ;)

Go Dick Clark!!

{jane bosi} hee hee......I just saw Dick Clark on Rockin' New Year's Eve and thought he deserved a bit of a shout out!! He's made it from my childhood; through my absent years when I actually left the house to celebrate the New Year; to carrying on the tradition for my kids.....LOL!! What a man!
I'm back on board with blogging and sharing this final clown from the Rick St. Dennis clown sheet! This card uses the TJ Newsletter technique called Triple Mosaic (June 2006). Visit my blog for more info and a recap of all of these amazing images!! Be sure, also, to check out the year end savings Della has going on right now!
Happy New Year to One and All! TTFN, Jane

My Last Holiday Card of the Year! :)

Hello!
True :D here.

I know it seems a little late for a holiday card but it is not! New Years is a holiday!  :)
Besides the "Trees Silhouette" stamp from I Brake For Stamps is not meant to be a holiday stamp. I just made it work! You can use it for every day, rustic, camping, masculine cards and more! Then you can use it to get a jump on next years Christmas cards!

I just stamped the trees is black, masked off the moon with a small circle, then sponged in the night sky. Add a few twinkling stars with glitter and stamp a sentiment and Viola!

I hope you and yours have a safe, happy and healthy 2011!

Hugs,
True :D
