I Brake For....Florals!

Hello stampers!  Nancy here today and I have a pretty floral card to show you to get you in the mood for spring!

I made the card into a pocket card using a die that creates the pocket.  The floral bouquet is from the Florals Sheet set, found HERE.  It includes not only this image but several other solid and line stamps and a few sentiments.

Here is what the card looks like when you pull it out of the pocket.  I colored the image with copics and chose a violet and yellow color combination for the blossoms.  I was not sure how it was going to turn out but once it was done I was pretty happy with it.  Since I wanted the image to take center stage I just added some sheer ribbon on the front.

I hope spring is on its way to wherever you are!  I am looking forward to getting my front yard in shape with some new annuals and will plant tomatoes at the end of March.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Hop on over to the IBFS store  - there are so many flower and spring stamps to choose from - I know you will find something to like!

I Brake for NATURE!

Hi everyone! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. Last Monday I shared with you a card I created using a Large Sunflower. As I said in that post, I LOVE Sunflowers, but sometimes Daisies remind me of smaller sunflowers, perhaps a little sister to the Sunflower?

So I am back this week to share with you another card using the Daisy Background stamp from I Brake for Stamps.

This is such a beautiful background stamp which makes it difficult to create a bad card. I didn't even have to color these beautiful flowers. I simply stamped the image with distress ink, spritzed the stamp and stamped it onto some canary cardstock.

I created the background for the sentiment using the Wood background half sheet and stamped the sentiment Nature with black Archival ink.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Easter Bunnies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a very sweet Easter card that I made using
from

These two little guys are so adorable. I love that you can color the flowers to match whatever paper you choose.  I pulled out some decorative corner dies that I haven't used in AGES!!  I think they look cute on the two corners.  I used the scraps from the cut outs to accent the two corners with the pearls.

I used some more designer paper on the inside and used HAPPY EASTER from EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I Brake For.....Gloriosa Daisy!

Hello my crafty friends  - Nancy here today!  Spring is about a month away - are you all ready for it to show up?  We've had a mild February here in Florida, contrasting with a colder than normal January and I am ready for spring to make its mark.

My planters in the front yard took a hit this winter and I'll have to do a bit of work next month in replacing a number of plants that did not survive.  Looking forward to it because it looks terrible right now!

So, with that in mind I have a pretty floral card for you...

The image is called Gloriosa Daisy - it can be found here.

These daisies have a bold dark red/orange center and yellow petals, so I kept with that color scheme - using copics to color the image.  I really think this would look pretty in shades of blue or pink as well. I stamped and colored the main bloom, cut it out and popped it up on top of the stamped image.

The sentiment is from a set called Florals Sheet, which can be found here.

Hop on over to the IBFS store - you will find thousands of stamps there.  There are many flower/floral stamps to choose from - I know you will find something you like!

I Brake for Large Sunflowers!

Hello everyone and happy Monday! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I Love Sunflowers! I was extremely excited to get my hands on this beautiful stamp called Large Sunflower from I Brake for stamps.

This was such an easy card to create. I used some acrylic paint and randomly added it to some thick card stock. Once it was dry I stamped the Sunflower using my MISTI. I used distress crayons and Faber Castell big brush pens to color the leaves and stems.

I then stamped the numbers using the numbers background stamp and some black archival ink. As a final embellishment I added some black and white butterfly washi tape and outlined it with Black soot distress crayn.

Thanks for stopping by.

I Brake For....DOGS!

Hello stampers - Nancy here today!.  Happy Valentine's Day!  Do you have some four legged family members?  Are they dogs?  If so, here is a card with an adorable dog theme.

The set is called Dog Set and includes 11 stamps -  7 images and 4 sentiments.  I've used four of them on this card.  The set can be found HERE.

I stamped the dog and bowl, colored them with copics and cut them out.  I used a scalloped angled die to make cut on the front of the card - I think this is called a handkerchief cut?  I placed the dog and bowl on the front and stamped the sentiment in the upper right corner.

For the bottom part, I stamped and embossed the bone in white to make my own  decorative paper.

I think this would be a cute Valentine card to give if you have dogs in the family,  We have two lovable little dogs - Boo  Boo and Sugar.  They are both rescue dogs and love to cuddle!

I hope you check out all the stamps available at the IBFS store.  If you are looking for  dog stamps, you can see the whole line of them here.

I brake for Learning new things!

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Monica here from Taylormadecards4u.  I tried something new on this card...it didn't do exactly what I had hoped it would do, but still kind of interesting. I added some embossing powder to my texture paste to see what would happen.  The results were a gritty texture paste which is still kind of a cool look!

More recently I have become a bit more experimental with my products. Not every experiment will be a success, but it definitely is a learning process.  The sentiment I used for this card is is called "Learn Live Hope".  I thought it was a perfect addition to this card...and my experiment.

I really love how this card turned out. It is grungy with a feminine twist. Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by.

I brake for anchors!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Brother-in-Law's birthday card.  I have a TON of March birthdays in mine and my husband's family and need to get a jump start.  A bunch of them are southern "beach" people so I love nautical cards for them.

I've used the MS97 Full Plate from I Brake for Stamps for my card.

All of the die cuts are from Ellen Hutson and pair perfectly with this beautiful sheet of nautical images!

Here's the inside of the card.  I didn't stamp a birthday sentiment inside but I figured we could just write it in.  Bob lives on Hilton Head Island and this lighthouse reminded me of one we visited when we've gone to see them.

It seems ironic.  I don't like the beach due to my fair skin (previous bout with skin cancer) and my fear of things in the ocean.  Yet...if you asked me...nautical cards are one of my all time favorite cards to make and ocean creatures are some of my favorite animals on earth.  I don't know...go figure.

Hello friends  - Nancy here!  Today I am sharing with a card  with some wonderful Succulents.

The set is called Echeveria Succulent Outline and can be found HERE .  It contains three sizes of this plant.

It can also be found as a Echeveria Succulent Solid image set HERE, and both the solid and outline sets are part of a larger Succulent Full Sheet set, found HERE.   So, you have lots of options with these images!

I colored the largest image with copics, using  Violet and Yellow Green markers for a two toned palette.  I used the smallest image in the background on the kraft cardstock.

The birthday sentiment is from the set called Florals Sheet and can be found here.

Hop on over to the IBFS store to find these and thousands of stamps - you can find almost anything there!

I Brake for Love!

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I wanted to share with you a mixed media Valentine Card I created using a sentiment from I Brake for Stamps called Love is Forever.  What is great about this stamp is that it can work not only for Valentine's Day, but for many other occasions as well!

I created the texture using a stencil and some texture paste. I also added some washi tape as well as some rub ons to create the post marks.

I wanted to stamp directly on the card so I made sure that I left room at the bottom of the panel without the texture paste.  This was accomplished easily by placing a post it note under the stencil before adding the paste.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Brake for Easter!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for two of my nieces.
I've used 3 images from I Brake for Stamps.

and

In case you're wondering about me using a wintery image on an Easter card I can explain... Although I know most of you out there consider Easter a Spring holiday there are many years our kids in upstate N.Y. have to put on their snow boots and trudge through several inches of snow to find their Easter eggs!  Of course I'll probably give this card to my nieces and this will be a year that it's 70 and sunny.  Not that that's anything to complain about!

This was Easter morning 2015 at my house.

Our chilly egg hunt at my sister's house.

I wanted the card to be very dimensional and appear like the bunny was on a hill behind her.  I love these soft colors with the sweet Chelsea Le image. I actually have a few of these sweet girls and they're always perfect for my sweet nieces.
