Hello everyone, and Happy Wednesday to all!
The weather here in Utah has been ugly lately, as all the snow is melted and everything looks dead...hehehehe So I can't wait for springtime, and these flowers are a perfect reminder of how beautiful it will be when spring gets here :)
In my video I show how to make the flowers 3-D and look like glass. I love that they don't smash down, and they hold their shape. I did used copics YG13, and YG95 for the greenery, and for the flower buds I used BV00 , and BV4. Now for the top flowers I used distress ink in dusty Concord,as shown in the video and I also used NE-OPAQUE paint in yellow for the centers. The embossing powder I used is clear, and I also used the heat gun. I absolutely am addicted to making these flowers. Hope you enjoy my video tutorial!
Embellishments : Ribbon, half backed pearls, Vintage pearls, sewing, white gel pen for dots, and Spellbinders for the frames. To dust I did use dusters by judikins.
Here is another card I made using the Flowers from my tutorial I used the same colors and technique for the flowers on this card. The embellishments I used on this are some Ribbon, Sewing, white gel dots, and die cut pieces. Design paper is old its from K & Company. But it sure is bright and pretty! hehehehe
I Brake For Stamps carries sooo Many BEAUTIFUL Flower Stamps, and you can find them HERE in the store!
I hope you enjoyed my post for today! thank you for looking and have a lovely week!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl
These are both beautiful! I love that glass technique. They look so fragile and delicate.
ReplyDeleteAwww Thank you Renee! I love doing this technique its fun, and the flowers hold up so much nicer over time for me.

Great tutorial. I enjoyed watching your video. What brand of clear embossing powder do you used. It looks like it melts better than what I have. I have tried to do the cracked glass technique with what I have and I have never had success. I love how you colored and shaped the flowers. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello MariLynn thank you hun for your sweet comment :) and glad you enjoyed the video! The embossing powder I use came in a large container from Roberts, but I think ive seen it at hobby lobby too.I just keep It in this container as its easy to dip and I do it fast so the powder will stick to what ive heated. Do you use a glue pad first? and dip fast? so it sticks is the key. Let me know if you try it, and I will try to help you out.
DeleteThank you again!
