I Brake For Dogwood Blossoms!

I fell in love with this beautiful Dogwood Blossom from I Brake For Stamps the second I saw it.  I haven't stamped anything inside yet because I thought it could be used for so many different occasions...birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, get well... I'll stamp something when I need it for one of those things.

My embossing folder is from Craft Concepts and the border punch is by Recollections.
I wish these were blooming in my yard right now!  That would mean it was spring and I could have my summer off all over again!

I Brake for Rubber Romance Divas

Hi, Braker Fans. Cathy here today to share my DT project with you. By the way, I will now be posting on Thursdays so I hope to see you here every week. :)

This week my card features a new realease by Rubber Romance in the I Brake for Stamps store. I've used "Robin the Dog Lover" from the Diva collection. Isn't she a Diva!?! I dressed her up in Shabby Chic style because she just looks like that type of gal.

You can get all the details on this card by visiting my blog.

See you next Thursday...

I Brake For Ornaments

Hello Brakers,

Sorry for the late post, I was taking a coloring class in CT.  What fun I had.  I came home and whipped this little baby up.  This is a perfect stamp to do some clean and simple holiday cards.  You can find it here.

I colored the stamp with green markers to give them a little color and used my memento black ink on the rest   and colored the ornaments with my copics.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!!!

I Brake For Butterflies and Wild Flowers

I hope this doesn't sound too arrogant but I LOVE how this card turned out! I'm not taking most of the credit though. It's the beautiful images from I Brake For Stamps!
My card uses
Good Example (just the birthday part)

My friend gave this card to her Mother-in-Law for her birthday.
This flower and butterfly are so versatile. I've used the butterfly multiple times already and I know I'll be using the flower a lot as well.

I've used the flower on the inside as well.

Here's a close up of the two images.
Aren't they gorgeous!!

I Brake For Icabod.......

{Jane Bosi}  Feeling a bit headless myself these days....I am totally enamoured by this brand new image from Rick St. Dennis at I Brake For Stamps!!  It's one of six new images available exclusively in the IBFS store.  You can see the entire release here.  I've been itching for the fall and some halloween crafting--hopefully this is one of many!

My project is a 4" x 4" Folding Easel Box.  It's a neat, and easy, little project that can be filled with cards or goodies.  I love sharing my projects with my friends so, this one is full of chocolate!  What would you put in yours?

I Brake For Ichabod

I made this card with the most recent release from Rick St. Dennis called Ichabod
There are so many cute stamps, make sure you check them out!

What a fun image to color with my copics.  I used one of my tie dye backgrounds from last weekend to give a colorful fall background (although not very scary).

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty day!

I Brake For Movie Maven Maude...She's HOT!!

Okay, how much fun in this gal from I Brake For Stamps?  She's called Movie Maven Maude and I've paired her with a humorous verse called Hot Flash.  Isn't the popcorn cute?  The inside verse is called Best Wishes Birthday.

I made the movie reel using a ribbon threading border punch.

I can't wait to give this to someone.  When I get back to work I'll have to check the lounge to see whose birthdays are coming up.  I know this is perfect for a few different people!
I couldn't waste the pieces that I cut off the front of the card so I glued them inside to carry over the theme.

I Brake for Halloween

Hi, Braker Fans. I'm back with my Tuesday DT project and this week I started creating some Halloween goodies. I've also been working on some Christmas project planning as well. I need to get a head start this year as it has been busy around my home lately.

This "Halloween Scene" stamp is available in the IBFS store and the perfect size for making festive treat bags or you can create a cute tag for a scrapbook page. It's so easy to color and sure to delight those little ghouls and goblins this Halloween season.

You can check out the details on my blog.

That's it for me today. See you next week...

I Brake For Shells

I got these great stamps from the I Brake For Stamps store this week.  I needed some shells images to develop a picture collage for my mom's bathroom.  She has a beach theme with lighthouses and such.  I thought these image would be perfect.  I colored each with copics.

The background was done with a technique called Antiqued Glimmers.  I distressed the edges of the cardstock and the edges of each image.

Image 1:  Conch Shell 2
Image 2:  Crown Shell 2
Image 3:  Large Shell 1

I just love the look of these stamps.  They will be a great addition to my moms bathroom.

I Brake For Digital Lighthouses!

This month's challenge at I Brake For Challenges is to use a digital stamp. I think by now most people have tried a digi but if you haven't, now is the perfect time!
My digi is called Lighthouse and my card went to my friend's Father-in-law for his birthday.
They live near me in the North East United States but love going to the ocean in Myrtle Beach so I thought this would be perfect when she asked me to make him a card.

You can find lots of digital inspiration on the I Brake For Digis blog.

Inside I used a rubber stamp from I Brake For Stamps called Best Wishes Birthday.
The shells are rub-ons.

We'd love to have you join our digi challenge!  I can't wait to see what you make!

I Brake For Golf

My husband's birthday was Aug. 11 and he's a big golf fan. He watches, he plays, he even occasionally wins a local tournament. I ordered this stamp with him in mind.  The image is called Under Par and it's from I Brake For Stamps.  The birthday verse is part of a stamp called Good Example.

I love monochromatic cards and I thought green was perfect for a golf card.
The only tool I used was a McGill word window punch.

Remember, any day spent stamping is a good day!

Put On the Brakes for Getting Old!

Ah, we ALL are getting older -- and it seems it is happening faster these days! Ha!!
This cute young thing is available in the Seniors Full Sheet as well as individually HERE. Meet Hangover Hannah!

I paired her with a fun sentiment (come on, admit it....you've thought it!) and colored with Copic markers. The large background banner was hand cut and then embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. The background paper has been in my stash forever and is by Provo Craft. A couple of Primas, a little Kaiser Pink Pearl and Hannah is ready to start her day. Click on the photo for a close-up!

And by the way, I LOVE my mother and would be honored to be like her ;)

Thanks for stopping by today!

I Brake For Old People

{Jane Bosi}  Today, I'm sharing a fun card that uses a new technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter!  It's called Embossed Puzzel and I think it makes the perfect background for THIS funny Humourous Senior!!  If I had to give him a name, it would be Frank.  What do you think?  I'm always struggling, like many, for a masculine card, but I think this one fits the bill!!!

While I have your attention, don't forget to play along in the MONTHLY I Brake For Challenges Challenge!  This month, the theme is anything goes--just use at least one stamp from IBFS.  There's a prize to be had, so won't you play along??

I Brake For Ghosts

I have been spending some time in my craft room which is my favorite thing to do.  It is my way of relaxing.  I got some new stamps from I Brake For Stamps and have been itching to make some cute halloween cards.

I shared one last week and here is my other one.  I love to combine techniques to make interesting cards.  I hope you like this one.

The stamp is called Ghost.  It reminded me so much of my nephew Max (who will be receiving this card).

Check out my website for all the details.  Have a great Sunday!

I Brake For....Scary teachers!

Unfortunately for me school is just around the corner.  I work in the special ed. dept. in an elementary school so summer time is my time!!
I know this lady might not be what you think of as a teacher but when I got this verse and saw Stella she reminded me of my second grade teacher. She had long, claw-like nails that she would drum on your head while you were thinking of the answer to her question. Since I work in a school I ALWAYS need school themed cards. Can't wait to give this one to someone.

If you like this you can find the stamps at I Brake For Stamps.
The verse is called Teacher
and the image is called Struttin' Stella
