I Brake For Ombre Birthday Cards

Happy Sunday, Jamie Martin here with you today sharing an ombre birthday card using the resist technique.  I made this using the Large Fritillaria and Dot Letter Happy Birthday stamps. The ombre look is really popular right now and I can see why, it's a beautiful look!

To make this card-
1.  I repeatedly stamped Large Fritillaria on a white panel with VersaMark ink and embossed it with clear.
2.  Then I started off by sponging Tumbled Glass ink, from the top working my way down.  When I sponge, I used the round foam sponges and cut them into quarters.  I have the sponging tools but if find that I'm always reaching for the sponges.
3.  Next Salty Ocean was sponged to about the middle of the panel.
4.  Lastly Faded Jeans was sponged at the top. When done I rubbed the embossed areas with a paper towel to remove any remaining ink.
5.  Dot Letter Happy Birthday was stamped on a black strip of paper with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  This was then glued onto the ombre panel with Zip Dry Glue.
6.  Dot stickers were added to the panel and it was then glued to a larger black panel to make the colors popand mounted onto  a white card.

I hope I have inspired you to Stamp This!

Be The Change

I Love great sentiments and quotes. Sometimes a few words can make such an impact!

Hi everyone Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the beautiful Be the Change Stamp. This has been one of my favorite quotes for years and I absolutely love that I've finally found it. I Brake for Stamps has some of the prettiest quotes and sentiments out there, so make sure you take a look.

For this card I first stamped the sentiment with Versamark and used Sparkle N Sprinkle Copper Kettle embossing powder. I then used Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Broken China, and Dusty Concord  to create the background colors. I added a little water so they would blend a bit too. Here is the end result. I hope that you like it and would love to hear your comments.

A simple card that really showcases the beauty of a simple sentiment. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Make sure you take a look at the specials available right now at the I Brake for Stamps shop. There are so many stunning flower stamps that are on sale.

I hope that you all have had a great weekend. Until next time

Haida Art

When I first saw this stamp in the I Brake for Stamps store, I knew that I had to have it. I've always love Haida art. Ever since that first trip to Vancouver, seeing those amazing totem poles. So when I received this stamp in my design team package, I had an idea immediately.

Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today sharing with you a very different card suitable for either masculine or feminine occasions. First of I stamped the image using Versamark, and embossed with black embossing powder. Then out came my gel pens and Copic markers to give this mask some Haida flair!!!

Once completely dry, I added some crackle paint to the top, to really give it even more character. The final project you ask??? Here it is. I hope you really enjoy it.

It certainly makes me smile. How about you? Here is a close up of the image so you can really see it in all its GLORY!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a look at my Haida inspired card. Take a chance at something different today. Stop by the I Brake for Stamps store and see all the wonderful images they have to offer.
