I Brake for Cardinals in Dogwoods!

Hello and happy Monday!

Today I'm sharing another bird card that I made for my friend's dad. Her mother recently passed and she asked for some bird themed cards to send to her dad. She had a special request that one have a cardinal.

For those of you who don't know, there is an old tale that says a cardinal is a representative of a loved one who has passed. When you see one, it means they are visiting you. They usually show up when you most need them or miss them.

I colored her as a female since it was her mom that has passed.
I love the dimension on this card. I used foam to pop up the flowers and bird in different places to make it look more realistic.

I Brake For Christmas Cardinals

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to all! Cheryl here today with this absolutely Gorgeous Cardinal from I Brake For Stamps. I LOVE the huge selection of Christmas stamps, you can find here at the I Brake for Stamps Store. I really had a lot of fun coloring up this Beautiful cardinal, and love the way the image turned out.
My card for today came together quickly.

 Layer 1- 5" x 5" then the design paper 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".
 Layer 2- 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" , design paper at 4" x 4"
Layer 3 I stamped my image in soot black and colored with copics. Next I added some stickles to the berries.  I just cut the image down to as small as I wanted, and laid it on the red card stock and cut. All layers have a beige thread for the sewing.

Ribbon is a Shimmer Satin I believe its a kiwi color.

I hope you enjoyed my Cardinal Post for today, and thank you for stopping by!
Hugs to all!
Cheryl

I Brake For Christmas Joy!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card with you.  I've used two stamps from I Brake For Stamps.  The first one is called CARDINAL BORDER and the other is ELEGANT JOY.

I used a mask to make it look like the cardinals are sitting on top of the Joy verse.

It was colored with Copic markers and I used a Spellbinders die to cut the matte.

I Brake for Cardinals that "shake" it!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a shaker card with you.  My card features CARDINAL from I BRAKE FOR STAMPS.

I have a quick little "how to" for my card.  These are so easy to make.

First I took a piece of acetate (it's packaging from a metal die that I saved) and glued and taped it to the back of my open frame.  Next I added the dimensional foam that will pop up the panel and allow the confetti to shake around.

This is the window from the front.

Next I put the confetti in the middle of the image and position the frame over it and press down to seal it.

Here it is all spread out.

Here is the confetti all settled at the bottom.

People really enjoy the interactive cards and this is such a fun one to give!

I Brake For Cardinals

Winter is definitely upon us here in the northeastern U.S. and one of my favorite sights to see is when I spot a beautiful red cardinal in my yard set against the white snowy background. Cardinals are the ultimate Christmas bird being red and I fell in love with this image when I saw it at I Brake For Stamps. The image is called CARDINAL.

I colored him with Copics and added some Stickles to the berries to make them even more festive.
