I Brake for Clean & Simple!

Hello! I have really been enjoying the flowers this spring.  It has been rather cool and all the blooms have lasted so much longer than usual.

For my card today, I decided to use some bright spring colors and flowers. I heat embossed this image on plain cardstock, then sponged over top with Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass and Twisted citron. I really liked the color the blended in between.

Here is a quick view of the stamp set I used, Half Sheet 138B.

Thank you for visiting today and happy stamping!

I Brake for Country Birthdays!

Hello and happy Saturday!

I hope you're all doing well and staying healthy!
Today I'm sharing my niece's birthday card.  She'll be 20 on Tuesday. She can't hang out with her friends so my sister is planning a surprise drive by parade for her.

I used an image from Southwest Plate #4.

I would have loved to have glammed this card up with a belt buckle and twine and some metal studs but right now I have to keep my cards one layer and lightweight so I can mail them from home. Anything that too thick or bumpy can't be machined and I'm avoiding the post office right now.  I asked my sister if Riley has a favorite color.  She said not really but probably green.  She said she she also loves kids, a shopping cart would work (she's working at a grocery store while going to college) and she loves country music!  Finally, something I could work with! lol!  I even found paper in my stash that said Country Music on it!

I Brake for Birds

Hello!  We have been having such a lovely spring.  I have been watching outside my kitchen window as the birds are gathering nesting material, and I have seen larger birds, like crows, flying around carrying large sticks.  This made me think of a set of my favorite bird stamps.

I first made my backgrounds with a stencil and three colors of distress ink.  I found this pretty pastel blue cardstock and decided to stamp my images in dark brown ink.  I did some sponging with brown distress ink but otherwise left these simply stamped. I am quite pleased with these cards.  They will be part of the package of cards I send to the local assisted living center, as they shelter in place.

These stamps are all from Birds Stamp Sheet 141A

Thank you for visiting the blog today!  Happy Stamping!

I Brake for Brave Nieces!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing the other two Bravehearts cards that I made for my nieces.  The first 2 were blue/green and these two are obviously pink.

This one's called Be-You-Tiful Set.

I have 4 nieces and they're each getting one of these.
You can see my other two HERE.

This sweetie is You-Nique set.

I love these sets for young girls.
The inspirational verses are just what they need to hear!

I Brake for Turtles!

Hello Stampers! I do hope that you are well.

I have a clean and simple card design to share with you today.  The world may be more complicated now, but people are still having birthdays and I have several cards to send out in the next week or so.  I think this one will work for men, as well as women.

To create this card, I sponged light blue ink on the left of my card front, then put a wave stencil over this and sponged darker blue inks over the stencil.  I stamped, colored and cut out my sea turtle and popped him up on the panel.  The sentiment was stamped underneath.

This really didn’t take long at all, and I am quite happy with how it turned out!

These stamps are part of I Brake for Stamp’s By the Sea Rubber Sheet. It is an awesome set!
