I Brake for Gnomes at Christmas Time!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card.  The set isn't really meant for Christmas but that's one of the things I love so much about it.  It's a very versatile set.

The very large set is called MS123 Gnome Sheets.

I'm so in love with this card!  That would drive my kids nuts.   They'd say I was "tooting my own horn."  I just can't help it though.  I feel like with these country, farmhouse looking trees that this little gnome must be in charge of Santa's reindeer or something.

I tried to keep the embellishments and papers very rustic looking.
The metal, twine, plaid...even the glitter has sort of a North Pole feel to me.
It's difficult to see but the white background paper has "snow" dots all over it too.

The verse on the inside is from Every Day Phrases...another WONDERFUL sheet full of stamps.

I Brake for Stained Glass Poinsettias!

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!

Today I'm sharing a pretty Christmas card with you.
The beautiful stamp is called  CHRISTMAS STAINED GLASS.

It's Thanksgiving which means it's time to start making those Christmas cards!
I like to use non-traditional colors on a lot of Christmas cards.  I thought these poinsettias would be pretty in pink rather than red this time.  I also chose paper that I thought almost had a stained glass design to go with it.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

I Brake for Sympathy

Hello stampers!  I am sharing a pretty Sympathy card today.  Often, I find a clean and simple look works well for these.

I simply stenciled over the left side of my card panel and then stamped the silhouette over top.  I then coordinated the inside of the card by just using a lighter touch over my stencil, and stamping my favorite Sympathy sentiment.

These stamps can be purchased in the I Brake for Stamps store. The foxglove image is part of a new stamp set in the store, available as Unmounted rubber (with an attractive price), or it is also available separately.

Thanks for your visit today!  For those of you in the US, I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

I Brake for Christmas Card Sets!

Hello!  I recently got the NEW stamp sheet called Small Christmas Sheet, and I wanted to make a few cards with it.  I realize that it is getting towards time to send out those cards, and I was motivated to get a bunch finished.

This is half sheet stamp set, and it is available at a special price right now as an unmounted rubber sheet.  I Brake for Stamps rubber is nice and thick, and works well as unmounted.  I have Tack N Peel set up on a couple of my acrylic blocks, especially for use with unmounted rubber.

The paper I used is foiled and is always a bit tricky to photograph, but I love using it on holiday cards.  I didn’t even use all the images on the sheet yet, so I look forward to making more cards with this set.  The small Happy Holidays sentiment is from this Christmas Tree quarter sheet set.

Happy Stamping!

I Brake for Belly Dancers!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for my friend's birthday yesterday.

I used Belly Dancer Gracie from the Humorous Seniors Line.

The verse is from the very large set

I have used this set about a million times!

My friend has taken belly dancing classes for a few years now to help keep herself in shape.  We have added some classes to our 5th grade curriculum that are areas the kids were interested in that we don't normally teach in school.  My friend is teaching a belly dancing class to some of the girls...at a 5th grade appropriate level...lol...and I thought this card would be perfect for her.  All of the images and verses can be found at I Brake for Stamps.

I used Wink of Stella on her outfit to add some shimmer.

On the inside I used a verse from Half Sheet #052.

I forgot to photograph the back of the card but I used this hilarious stamp...WARNING!

I Brake for Mostly Mice Thank You Notes!

As promised, I stamped up a few more of the images from the Mostly Mice stamp set, which is one of the newest sets in the store, sold as an unmounted sheet.  I decided to start on a card set to give as a gift, to a music teacher.  I know that at the holiday, she will be getting a lot of teacher gifts and may need some thank you notes.

I colored the images with alcohol markers.  For the first card, I made it look as if the critters were looking over a wall of patterned paper.  I stamped the Thank You from this Sentiment set onto yellow cardstock and trimmed it out.

The second card uses two of the images.  The little student mouse fits just right under the teacher bunny, but they are two separate images.  These are so sweet and fun to color.

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!

I Brake for Stained Glass Irises!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a pretty, pastel card that I made using
Stained Glass Iris #2.

If you follow my IBFS posts at all, you'll know I'm fairly obsessed with their stained glass line.
On this piece I used some Nuvo clear drops to add some gloss to the iris.

I Brake for the Spotlight!

       Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing a card made with one of the funny images from Carmen Medlin found over at I Brake for Stamps!

This one's called Spotlight.

He can be purchased individually or in the Curiosities Set 4.
Since he looks like he's dancing I decided to use some paper with music notes on it.  I also placed him in a "star-studded" frame.

I used the verse on the inside of the card.
You can find the entire line of Carmen Medlin stamps at IBFS.

I Brake for Mostly Mice!

Hello! I hope you saw the announcement that there are new stamps in the store!  When I saw this new set called Mostly Mice, I knew I had to have it!  It is full of wonderful images, and I know children will like them, but in all honestly, I think I know plenty of adults who are going to love them too!

This little teapot image is so easy to color.  I then just die cut it and used a sketch and patterned paper to create this pretty Thank You note.

I will definitely be using more of these stamps in the near future!

You can purchase these in the I Brake for Stamps store.

The sentiment is from Florals Sheet

Happy stamping!

I Brake for Christmas Tea!

Hello from designer, Heidi!  I have a very unique Christmas image to share with you today. This sweet image is called Christmas Tea.  I think it is so pretty and I know several tea-drinkers who would love to receive it.

I added color first with markers and then I added some shading with colored pencils.  Those pencils fit in the tiny spaces very easily.  I then dressed up the image with some glitter glue and glitter pen.

The last step is fussy, but worth it. I cut a mask of the main image so that I could sponge some light blue distress ink around the image. I think that really makes the tea pot and the doily stand out more and just look more elegant.

Thanks for visiting today! Happy Stamping!
