It's A Circus...

{Jane Bosi}

I had to stop with the Christmas images---not that I don't love them---but these clowns have been enticing me for waaaaayyyyy too long! All week, on my blog, I'll be sharing a clown and a technique! Today's technique is called Sepia (TJNL October 2009) and it really makes the image pop! Don't you think? Speaking of images, if you haven't already seen these amazing clowns by Rick St. Dennis, check them out!

Cute, cute, cute!!! Have an amazing, circus like day :) TTFN, Jane

Valentine Heart Bear

Have you seen these adorable new bears over at I Brake for Stamps? It's Holly posting today and I'm in love with every single one of these bears.

This card is actually the fifth one I was working on, and I just wanted to see how this sweet bear looked in white instead of the browns I had been using on the other bear cards. I shaded here and there with a pale gray Copic marker and gave her a little blush in her cheeks. The cape and hearts as well as the larger heart brads are all colored with Creative Inspirations paint. After I cut out the bear, I added some tiny pearls to the top of her crown.

I used the Mono Dies technique from Technique Junkies on the background. The sentiment is from the Every Day Phrases sheet from I Brake for Stamps. I'll have some more bear cards to show you, so you will definitely want to go order all of these adorable bears right now. :-)

Holly Jolly Christmas

Hi all, Regan here!

I wanted to share this recessed frame card that I made using the wonderful Fall/Winter Collage Sheet!

I am always looking for ways to use a stamp in more than one way, this helps me to save money and get more mileage out of my stamps! When I saw the Fall acorn collage stamp, I knew instantly that I could use it for Christmas!!

Here is the stamp before...

and after......

I learned how to do the recessed card frame from Tracy!

Here's how I got the look....
I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Stampin' Up! card stock to 3 X 4 5/8
I stamped my Fall/Winter Collage Sheet image using versamark and then heat embossed it using gold embossing powder.
I colored in the leaves and acorns using the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker by Stampin' Up!
Then I inked around the edges using Walnut Stain Distress Ink by Ranger
Last but not least I added the red half back pearls as berries for my Holly!

I hope that you will give it a try!!

To see more photos and details, please visit my blog!

Thanks for taking a look,
Regan

I BRAKE FOR STAMPS - SNOWFLAKE ARCH

Please click for enlarged view

I have enjoyed the challenge and versatility of using the "Girl with Bunny" rubber stamp from the Easter Collection at I Brake for Stamps in creating this Christmas holiday-related card. I added a Santa hat to the Bunny, and created a double layer of dry embossed dots and snowflakes, framed with red Bazzil cardstock which was also used for the cut out gothic arch. I have used snowflake embellishments from Jolees, and embellished with clear and red gemstones. This card will be placed in the Gothic Arch Sunday Challenge where the current theme is Snowflakes.

Vintage Christmas tag

Hello Everyone, Robyn here to share another project with you using the gorgeous Vintage Christmas sheet from IBFS. I'm playing along making the 12 Tags of Christmas and for day 5, I've used the smaller Santa stamp from the sheet. If you're wondering which 12 tags, more details are on my blog.

I've colored in the Santa image ever-so-slightly and then added white fine glitter to the fur on his coat and also his hat. I really love this new release sheet and have really been putting it to good use this Christmas season.

New Year's Bear - Sneak Peek!!

How adorable is that teddy bear???? Awwwwww....... this is a special sneak peek of what is coming to I Brake For Stamps. You are going to LOVE what Della will have available in the IBFS store very soon. :-)

I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch #85 for this card along with some yummy papers from Bo Bunny. The New Year's Bear is colored with Copic markers and then I used the Wisped Frames technique around him. I didn't have any dark blue rhinestones, so I colored some clear ones with a Copic marker and attached them to some teeny little snowflakes and added those to the corners.

Stamps: New Year's Bear - I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Tuxedo Black & Summer Sky Memento
CS: Night of Navy, White, Midnight Frost from Bo Bunny
Other: copic markers, sponge, oval dies, Half the Edge cardstock strips (Bazzill), May Arts ribbon, snowflake punch, rhinestones

Rudolph, I'm in Love!

Rudolph, I'm in Love! by Judy Rozema
Isn't he just the cutest? I want to take him home with me! Not sure my two Labradors would appreciate that....

My name is Judy Rozema and I am one of the new Design Team members for I Brake For Stamps! I am thrilled to be on such a talented and diverse team.  I am known on Splitcoast as StampingQueenJAR and my blog is Joy in a JAR (my initials!).

My image is from a set called Holiday Squares, by I Brake For Stamps. There are three other delightful images that I will be using later in the month.  I stamped "Rudolph" in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored using Copic markers. I embossed the Pearlized White Cardstock (The Paper Studio) with a snowflake embossing folder. I pleated my American Crafts gingham ribbon as I sewed it and then added a snowflake brad from my stash. I added glitter to "Rudolph's" nose for some sparkle!

Have a wonderful day! Christmas is not too far away. Will Rudolph guide the sleigh? (Good thing I stamp and don't write poetry......)

Advent Calendar!

HI There! Kristy Here :)

I have been itching for an Advent Calendar (and chocolate too hee hee) and then I thought maybe I could make one instead. I have so many supplies here, right? I surfed around online and found an idea that developed into this :)

I used the Christmas Collage stamps for this-I just cannot get enough of those :)

For this I just stamped the images (6 times each) on standard envelopes and cut off the tops so we could insert miniature candy bars. Just hung them on a piece of twine and voila!

The numbers on them were printed on my color inkjet printer.

Greetings, Friends!! I shared this card earlier this week on my blog, but wanted to also share it here---it's a reminder to go check out the Brakefast Club! This week's BC challenge is to make a card using inchies! You can find out more about the Brakefast Club Challenges here. To search the BC galleries use keyword IBFSC6--don't forget to use the same keyword when you upload your creation ;) You can find Children and Tree here in the online store! Enjoy!

Dabber Resist

Hi Suzanne here, this is my very first post as DT for I BRAKE FOR STAMPS, I am just so excited and I still can't believe I was chosen, I am so very honoured, thanks Della for having faith in me.

So let's get on with it, I can't wait to show you, hope you are as excited as I am.

I decided on a Christmas tag, as Christmas seems to be everywhere I look in blogland, well let's face it, it really isn't very far now, scary that.

I chose two stamps from I Brake for Stamps, firstly the LEAF FLOURISH BACKGROUND stamp which is such a versatile stamp and used the Dabber Resist technique. My next stamp is VINTAGE SANTA.

You can see more deets on my personal blog here
Till next time
Cheers

I BRAKE FOR STAMPS - BLUE CHRISTMAS

Please click image for enlarged view

I am sharing my very first rubber stamped art piece at I Brake For Stamps. I am Gayle Page-Robak and very pleased to have recently joined the IBFS Design Team.
I offer the stunning VICTORIAN WOMAN image, and wish you all the best for a wonderful holiday season. I have always loved the iced blue tones at Christmas. I love this image and have stamped the image with Color Box fluid chalk from Clearsnap,on Bazzil pale blue cardstock. I have colored the image with Prismacolor Artist Pencils in shades of navy, blue and green, adding flaxen gold for her hair. The two background papers are from Basic Grey and the white scalloped border is from Martha Stewart. I have chosen navy Bazzill cardstock for the framing. The blue Merry Christmas embellishment, silver stars and gems of crystal and blue, are from Jolee's Boutique at EK Success.
Enjoy! Your comments are truly appreciated.

Vintage Santa

Hi, I'm Regan and I am happy to share with you my very first project for I Brake For Stamps today!
I created this Vintage Santa Christmas card using the Santa Collage Quarter Sheet. I just love this set! This Santa image is just beautiful and it comes with 3 sentiments!

I stamped the image and tore around the edges. I then inked it with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain distress inks and popped it up on dimensionals.

You can't leave out the inside... right?

Thank you for taking a peek at my project!
Please visit my blog for more detials.

Thanks, Regan

Snowman Tuesday!

One final Snowman Tuesday card ... or actually SET of cards!    I've used the Snowball Set of 4 images for these super fun and easy cards.

Each was heat embossed with black EP and I then carefully added some color with Copics and sparkle with Stickles.  I've used the Basic Grey Jovial DP for each of these and vellum for the Spellbinders Beaded Circles.

Here are some closeup views . . .

I wanted to say a HUGE Thank you to Della for everything she has done during the past year!   This will be my last post for I Brake For Stamps.   Unfortunately, due to my schedule overload, I've had to cut a few DT positions.   It's been a true pleasure to work with you all.   I'll be back to visit often!

Come, They Told Him....

{Jane Bosi} How sweet is this little Drummer Boy #2, I ask you? I love the story of the drummer boy--it's always been one of my favorite Christmas shows--and one of the few Christmas songs I never get sick of hearing!
I'm using a sketch from the Cardabilities Sketch Challenge this week and, also a technqiue called Pencils Over Markers--such a great way to enhance coloring!!
I hope you are all having a wonderful beginning to your season of giving!

Sharing some Holiday fun with Sarah and Grace

Hello Friends-  This is Chris Dickinson from the COLD state of Wisconsin! I am so blessed to have daughters who LOVE to stamp with me...

This first card was made by my 6 year old daughter. This Hair Dryer Trio stamp makes me smile, and would make a perfect card for a friend! Sarah stamped this, and then with my supervision I allowed her to use my Copic Markers. When she was done coloring, she went over the image with a 2 way glue pen and showered my office and her card with glitter.

The second card I am sharing is one my talented 9 year old daughter created. She too loves to stamp with me and gets quite crafty. She used one of my favorite sets...the Fall and Winter Collage set. Grace colored the image with water based markers, and used the two way glue pen and glitter as well. She topped her project with some pretty pink organdy ribbon.

The next two projects I am sharing with you were created by me...

I used the I Brake For Stamps Christmas Collage stamp set. I stamped it with Brown Staz and painted it with Creative Inspirations - wheat, Rustic Red, Burgundy, Chocolate, Evergreen using an Aqua painter. I used the Nestibilities die to cut out the image and a  1/2 inch Circle Punch to cut out the letters. Once the letters were attached, I put a thin layer of Crystal Effects/ Glassy Glaze over it and allowed it to dry.

On my final project, I used my Copic markers and had so much fun coloring this!

I used the stamp set, I Brake For Stamps Autumn Bounty and thought of a "country blue" scene. To create the border above I used the Viva Pearl Gold Paint and allowed it to dry for about 30 minutes.

I hope you enjoyed each of these creations and that they inspired you! Have fun stamping and enjoy your day!

Walnut Ink Resist Joyeux Noel Collage

It's Holly again with a flat Christmas card for y'all. I used the Walnut Ink Resist technique from Technique Junkies but morphed it by using Glimmer Mist instead. The collage image is from I Brake for Stamps' new Christmas Collage sheet. The little red strips in the background are also sprayed with the same Glimmer Mist for a coordinated look. This is another card for my "mail-able" Christmas cards box so I will only need one PO stamp to send this card out. :-)
