An Original Little Man

{Jane Bosi} I trust we have all survived our turkey comas?? This past weekend was full of family time.....I started feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to share a project featuring fabby I Brake For Stamps and my lil man! On this cork frame, I'm using the Ornate Inchies Background stamp. It could easily be used as seen or separated into individual stamps. The images are unique and lovely and so very versatile. The technique, Cork Frames, can be found on the TJNL Stampbooking CD, also available in the I Brake For Stamps store! Check it out!

The picture of my crazy little man is from a few years ago.....my, how fast they grow! He still cracks me up daily :) I hope your day is full of laughter......and ink :) TTFN, Jane

Game Folk...

{Jane Bosi} Here's a scrappy page featuring my oldest doing one of his favorite things! The minute I saw the Game Folks sheet, the idea for this page was born! That kid owns every single board game, card game on the planet! I'm thrilled to have finally gotten it out and really like the results. In addition to using Game Folks, I've also used the Playing Card Background and Numbers Background. Also found in the IBFS store is the TJNL's Stampbooking CD.--My border technique, called Inchies Borders, can be found here as well! How's that for one stop shopping?? TTFN, Jane

Distressed Shabby Chic Collage

It's Holly posting today! Have you been playing in the challenges over on the I Brake for Challenges blog? This week's challenge is a fun one - grungy, distressed, shabby chic.

I used the Distress Stain Resist technique (from the cool new Stampbooking CD in the IBFS store) with this beautiful Magnolia Tile collage stamp from I Brake for Stamps. Then I used the same colors of distress stains to color some white seam binding, which I crumpled up and let dry. To create the blue background, I used the distress stains again, but with more blues and less browns.

Yeah, I was having a ton of fun with my distress stains! Wanna see what happened to my hands??

Hee hee hee!

After everything dried, I distressed the edges of the collage and adhered all the layers. I tied the ribbon into a bow and added a brown button with linen thread in the center. This collage is just so beautiful, I didn't want to cover it up with a bunch of embellishments or layers.

Funky Little Borders

Jane Bosi, here, sharing a little Stampbooking project. If you haven't already heard, the IBFS store is carrying the TJNL Stampbooking CD. These are some of my favority pictures from my sister-in-law's wedding five years ago! My wee ones have grown up so much since then--that little punkin in the picture is now 7!!

I wanted a simple page that would just add to the presentation of the four pictures so, I chose the Funky Borders technique. The Large Swirls image was the perfect compliment to the pictures and style I wanted to convey. While I usually gravitate to whimsical images for coloring and card making, having basic design elements, like this one, in my stash is a definite MUST!!

Heat Wave....

This is me {jane bosi}! LOL!!!! I'm sure we are all enduring record temperatures and can relate to poor Freddie! I just had to chuckle! This image has been sitting colored on my desk for a good week--I just wasn't sure what to do with it :) Today, our temps were in the 90's with horrid humidity--my hubster spent the day watching our thermostat climb. (86 in the house...) It would appear our A/C is not properly sized for our house???? He's an engineer--used to design A/C systems for hospitals and universities....so, I gotta trust....anyway, to take my mind off the grueling heat, I decided on a technique from the TJNL's Stampbooking CD. This one is called Stylized Squares and is wonderfully adaptable for cards too! You can find Freddie in the store here and the Stampbooking CD here :) Glad I could help :)
