I Brake for Freddie the Frog!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I hope you are doing well!

I used the digital version of the Trampoline Freddie stamp (but it is available in rubber, too) and colored it with markers.  I then die cut it out and framed it with navy cardstock.  The background was made by scribbling water-based markers onto watercolor paper, spritzing liberally with water, then adding chunky pretzel salt onto the piece and letting it dry.  It created this cool pattern! 

 Here is a photo of the entire panel. I actually made this months ago but couldn’t bring myself to use it for a while since I liked it so well!

I Brake for Mardi Gras!

It's Mardi Gras! Let the good times roll!

Here's my card with Masquerade, a Rick St. Dennis digital stamp available at I Brake for Stamps.

Masquerade was resized in PhotoElements, printed out onto Copic-friendly cardstock with my laser printer, then colored with my Copic markers. The image was die-cut with a shape die.

Ancient patterned paper was die-cut with a flag die, edged with Dusty Concord Distress ink, then layered onto a flag die-cut from solid cardstock.

Another sheet from the same patterned paper collection was cut to size and edged with Dusty Concord Distress ink. The matted fishtail die-cut was adhered over the patterned paper, then the image panel was added.

The sentiment was added to the patterned paper circle with rub-ons, die-cut with a circle die, then edged with Distress ink.The circle was matted with a slightly larger circle die-cut from solid cardstock, then added to the card front. A butterfly and a mask die-cuts were adhered to the sentiment circle to finish the card.

I Brake for Curious Cats!

Curious Cat is from I Brake for Stamps' collection of digital stamps. Curious Cat was resized in PhotoElements, printed out onto Copic-friendly cardstock with my laser printer, and colored with my Copic markers. Several layers of Clear Gelly Roll Glaze pen (Sakura) were added to the glass to add dimension and shine.

Orange patterned paper was die-cut with a frame and a label die, then edged with Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge Distress inks.

Patterned papers were layered and edged with the same Distress inks as above. Old  alphabet rub-ons were used to add the sentiment.

For what it's worth, Curious Cat is a very realistic stamp. Each of our cats has stuck his/her head into a glass, container, or bowl (usually in search of food molecules) and gotten stuck, which never fails to amuse us.

I Brake for Christmas Gift Cats!

Cat Present is from I Brake for Stamps' collection of digital stamps. Cat Present was resized in PhotoElements, printed out onto Copic-friendly cardstock with my laser printer, colored with my Copic markers, and die-cut with a rectangle die. It was kept in the die while I added the a background around the Cat Present.

Patterned paper from the Figgy Pudding collection (Basic Grey) was die-cut with a stitched rectangle, a bow from , and a pierced strip. All patterned paper was edged with Aged Mahogony and Walnut Stain Distress ink (Ranger).

Red cardstock was die-cut with the Christmas die and the rest of the letters for the sentiment were die-cut with the matching font dies.

The card front was assembled and adhered to a red card.

I Brake For Beautiful Hair!

Hi everybody!  Regina here and lately I've been feeling a little stressed so I decided I needed to color something.  That always relaxes me.  I have to say that I really enjoyed coloring this one.  If you like coloring hair, you will love it.  

It is from I Brake For Stamps.  She comes in stamp or digital form.  Her name is Trieste.  

I love this stamp because you can color her hair a normal color like I did in browns or can use reds or greens.  Some people like non-traditional colors for Christmas so why not color her hair pink or turquoise?  :)

 

For the inside, I used Tim Holtz dies from the set, Holiday Words Script.  I cut them out using some glitter paper in a pretty white, glitter color.

I colored her with Copic Markers and added Glossy Accents to her lips, Wink of Stella glitter pen on the star and used a Sakura Clear Star glitter pen over the jingle bell on her necklace and accented the ornaments in her hair.  

I used Red Hot and Black Onyx card stock from Gina K Designs and the patterned paper is Echo Park, Christmas Cheer by Lori Whitlock.

Did I inspire you to get out your Copics?  Again, Trieste comes in a rubber stamp and a digi.  I really enjoyed coloring her and I know you will too!

I Brake For the North Pole!

Hello and a good Saturday to you all!

As much as I'm a "one holiday at time" kind of girl I do realize that when you MAKE your own Christmas cards you have to pretty much work on them all year long! Today I'm sharing a wonderfully sweet Rick St. Dennis digital image found at I Brake For Stamps.

 

 

 

The image I chose is called North Pole Welcome.  I'm sure by now most everyone is familiar with digi stamps but in case you're not here's a little description.  When you purchase the image it will be e-mailed to you.  You can then print it out in any size or color you want!  That's really cool because sometimes I want a smaller or large image depending on the layout of my card.  This is a definite advantage over traditional rubber stamps.  (Though I'm still TOTALLY hooked on rubber!)

Freddie the Frog

Hi all! Here's an adorable image from the IBFS Digital Stamp shop! (Click HERE to go see this shop!) This stamp is Freddie the Frog chewing some bubble gum. The great stamp in this background comes from IBFS and is an image of a maze that I lightly stamped in with colorbox chalk ink. There's a whole group of great digi images for you to pick from and a whole group of wonderful Freddie Frogs that are TOO cute.
