I Brake For Baby Giraffes!

I just love giraffes and I love that I was able to combine some that I created myself with an adorable giraffe from I Brake For Stamps

On the front of my card I used an IBFS verse called  CONGRATULATIONS SON.

I made the giraffes by cutting various sized ovals and circles from punches and paper piecing them together.

Valentine's Day Pillow Box

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here today.  I know we're only a couple of days past Christmas, but I am excited to get an early start working on some Valentine's Day projects.  This is a cute little pillow box using a Sizzix die that is great for little treats.  I tied the top using white seam binding ribbon.

The vellum piece is using the Love Coupon stamp; which I embossed in white and cut out.

I embossed the elements from the Fancy Elements sheet using white embossing powder.  You can see the detail better on the back of the pillow box (below).

The stamps that I've used are Love Coupon, Conversation Heart Candy, MS-102 Full Plate and Fancy Elements.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks for stoppinb

I Brake For Caffe, Mocha.....

I needed a gift for a woman at work that I've become friends with in the last several weeks. She's covering for the teacher that had surgery and I wanted her to feel welcome this Christmas. We're quite a "family" at my school and I wanted to make sure she had a gift too.  I know she loves coffee and chocolate (well, DUH! who doesn't) so I combined this adorable coffee themed pair of stamps from
I Brake For Stamps with some chocolates in a jar. Now she'll have something to nibble on while she sips her Dunkin' Donut coffee.

The verse is called Caffe, Vodka, Valium
and the image is called Bunnie.
Both are from the IBFS Rubber Romance line.

Geared up for Christmas!

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here today.  Happy Friday! Well, only four more sleeps until Christmas!  Yay!  This is the last Christmas post from me for the year.  I have two projects to share with you today.   On the card, I've used the adorable Snow Family stamp and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment on the stove/oven die cut came from the Christmas Plate #4.

I attached the snowmen to the hanging sign post (below) using jump rings to make it interactive.

This is a money holder card, but could double as a gift card holder.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects for today.  I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas.

i brake for backgrounds!

hi all!

marti here with a new journal page for ya!  i save up all the good quotes i see on facebook and pinterest and put them in my journal.  here is one that caught my eye recently:

so true and yet so hard to learn!  i started with a blue background and layers of shimmering Luminarte Silks paints.  then I stamped in a few spots with the Map #2 background stamp.

next i printed and mounted my quote.
once done i added some more stamping in yellow using stamps from the Florals & Leaves Plate.  i LOVE the backgrounds and sheet options IBFS has!  the sheets are a great way to stock up on similarly themed stamps!

i hope y'all have a fantastic holiday!!!

I Brake For Holidays

Happy Sunday Brakers!

Today I am sharing a Christmas Card using the You and Yours sentiment that can be found here.

I used some holiday stickers to decorate around it and used a technique called Rainbow Edges to give it a more festive look.  I have used this sentiment in all of my Christmas Cards this year as it says it ALL.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a crafty day!

I Brake For Rudolph!

Merry Christmas I Brake For Stamps Fans!!
Today I've used an adorable image called RUDOLPH.

The way this image is designed made me think of a cute little cabin in the woods so I chose my paper accordingly. I just felt like it had a "country" feel to it.  I used some green Stickles on his scarf to give it some holiday sparkle!

I wanted to have him framed in a circle but the scarf was hanging over, making the circle need to be larger than I wanted.  My solution?  I stamped him once and cut the circle the size that I wanted.  Then I stamped the image again and just cut out the scarf.  I glued it in place on my main image and I love how it looks extending beyond it matte.

You're a Sweetheart!

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here today.  I hope you're having a great Friday!  Although I'm still busily creating my Christmas projects, I wanted to take a break and make an adorable little Valentine's Day basket.  The base was made using two Petal Card die cuts (Sizzix die) that I adhered together to create a heart-shaped basket.  So cute!
I stamped the red heart base using the largest frame-type stamp from the Fancy Elements Sheet using red ink.  I also used a circular, swirly stamp from the same stamp set to make the lovely pattern on the white heart.   I just got this sheet, but I can already tell that I'm going to get a lot of use out of it.  I really love it.

I used my nesties hearts to create the scalloped blue and also the white heart.  The "You're a sweetheart" sentiment came from the MS102 Full Plate sheet.  This sheet has 27 love stamps including quotes from Shakespeare, Einstein and Aristotle.    Perfect for Valentine's Day, but also for thinking of you, Anniversary and wedding cards.

I hope you liked my project for today.  It was a nice break from all of my Christmas crafting, but I'm enjoying that too.  Have a great weekend!

ibrake for SANTA!

hi everyone!

marti here with a card for you today.  my brother created some Christmas stamps for IBFS and they are still some of my fave stamps to use and for this card i used his Victorian Saint Nicholas

I paired Saint Nick with one of the many perfect IBFS background stamps - Pinecone Background.   after stamping on my green cardstock I swiped a bit of Olive Luminarte Silks across it in spots to add some interest and sparkle.

The stamp has such amazing shading like so many of the IBFS images so all it needed was a wash of Twinkling H2Os for color with subtle sparkle.

How are YOUR christmas projects coming along???  less than 2 weeks to go!!!

I Brake For Snowpeople

Happy Sunday Brakers!

I created this card using the Silent Night Snowman Scene and it can be found in the store here.  I used my copic airbrush and a stencil to create the background for this sweet little snowman scene.  I colored the snowmen with copics using a technique called Line Pop.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and please stop by again!  Have a crafty day!

Snowman Soup

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here.  I am so excited to be back on the IBFS design team.  I had taken a break from crafting in general, but I'm back and have an adorable Christmas project to share with you.  This would make a great stocking stuffer, teacher gift, co-worker "thinking of you", send to school for your children's class, etc. gift.

The stamp sheets that I've used are Christmas Plate #3 and Christmas Plate #4.  Both have really terrific images for many, many different Christmas projects and gift ideas, not to mention countless options for your Christmas card making.

What I've created involved a bit of recycling as well.  Do you know those coffee sleeves that you get at the coffee shops?  Well that is the base of this project.  I've simply taken one of those, covered it with patterned paper and decorated it using the cute little snowman from Christmas Plate #3 along with the candy canes from the same plate.  The "Merry Christmas" sentiment came from Christmas Plate #4
I added a little bit of foam tape to the back of the snowman to give him some dimension and added a bit of glitter to the candy canes.
I took a clear cello bag and filled it with a hot cocoa packet and some mini marshmallows; which I'm calling freeze-dried snowballs. (So cute!)  Then tucked in a candy cane.  Here is the little poem that goes with it:
I just created that using a Word document and printed it off using my computer.  I've included it for you below in case you'd like to copy/paste it. =)

Snowman Soup Poem:
"Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather drawing near,
you'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup,
complete with stirring stick.
Just add hot water, sip it slow,
it's sure to do the trick!"

I hope you've enjoyed this little gift idea and that it brightens your day and warms your heart!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Enjoy!

I brake for clowns!

Good morning IBFS fans!!!

This is my first post as a brand spankin' new DT member!  i am NOT new to IBFS images however, i have been using them for years and love Della and her images!  I am not much of a card maker anymore so I will be sharing my Mixed Media adventures with you and today I have a page from my art journal:

I used this amazing Clown with Mask image by Rick St. Denis.

I used Twinkling H2Os to give it just the right amount of color and sparkle!  are there any other mixed media folks reading today?  or how about anyone interested in jumping in?  IBFS stamps are so perfect for it!

thanks so much for stopping in!
