I couldn't resist using this fun image from I Brake for Stamps with this paper - it's just too perfect! You can find this image called Movie Maven Maude. The image was a little larger than I needed, so I used the Out of the Box technique, from Technique Junkie Newsletter. I stamped that on the sentiment strip and on Vellum and used the another technique called Vellum sentiments.

There is a new challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog, and this time we are having fun with Fun or Fancy Fold projects.

I was inspired by the blue background paper that I used here. It reminded me of the beautiful Delft plates that my mother collects. I used this sweet scene from the Rare Image Garden Sheet (I Brake for Stamps) and stamped it in blue. I sponged the edges with some Antique Linen distress ink to give it an aged appearance.

You're wondering what the "fancy fold" part of my card is, aren't you? I used the Double Gatefold Card technique (Technique Junkies), and you can see how this card opens in this picture below:

The sentiment inside is also from the Rare Image Garden Sheet. I love the way this card opens up - so unexpected. :-)

Have you seen the new rubber over in the I Brake for Stamps store? This Basket of Heart Scones is one of the newest ones, just in time for Valentine's Day. I had so much fun coloring this one with Copic markers in pastel tones.

I used the Wisped Frames technique (from Technique Junkies) for a soft pinkish hue on the image after I colored it. The sentiment comes from the MS102 Full Plate - a wonderful source of sentiments for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, weddings, and general love cards.

Valentine's Day will be here in less than a month. There are a lot of great stamps for Valentine's Day in the New Items section of the I Brake for Stamps store. Have fun shopping!

Happy New Year! It's Holly posting today. This will be a fun card to give to an old friend. The purses are created using various punched shapes and silver pearls, and I stamped this beautiful sentiment from this Victorian Lady plate (MS81 Full Plate from I Brake for Stamps). Hello Everyone, it's Robyn here today. I have 2 Valentine's Day cards to share with you today...

The phrase came from the Every Day Phrases sheet from I Brake for Stamps. It is fast becoming my new favorite stamp set as it's so versatile.

Here is the inside of the card...

The inside sentiment came from long-time favorite set called Inspirational Phrases (this set is my go-to stamp sheet-I love it!) The butterflies came from the Butterfly Kisses set.

This second card is my favorite... (I've enclosed a video tutorial below)

The outside sentiment also came from the Every Day Phrases sheet. Lastly, here is the inside of the card; which uses the Happy Valentine's Day Bold stamp. You can click on the names to see the whole sheet of each set.

IBFCC #16 - CAS

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!! We are back with new challenges on the I Brake for Challenges blog, and today we are easing back into challenge mode with a CAS (clean and simple) project.

I pulled out this Bird Houses set (btw - it's on sale!) and inked up this cute birdhouse with the birds flying around. I went with some bright colors and I used the Embossed Image technique from Technique Junkies. You can see the woodgrain embossing folder that I used if you look closely at the image.

There's no flourishes or flowers or buttons on this card today. Just a simply tied ribbon is all I used for this CAS card. I Brake for Simple Challenge...

Hello Everyone and a very happy New Year to each of you! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas season with family and friends. It's Robyn here today. I have a CAS (Clean and Simple) card to go along with the first IBFS challenge of 2012. You can see what the other DT member have come up with HERE. Hope you take time to play along; you have 2 weeks after all to make a CAS card and link it to the blog. Any colors or theme will do! Just have fun!

I typically don't "do" CAS as I like lots and lots of layers but sometime you really only have time to sit and create something fast and simple. I do like the clean look though when I've happened along in blog world and see what others create.

My card today is using stamps from 2 sets that I recently got in my DT kit. The sentiment is from the wonderful Every Day Phrases (love!) and the cute little image is from the Chocolate Set of 4 (which is on sale right now by the way). I colored it in using my Letraset Promarkers. I then used my ruler to trace a frame around it. Can't get much simpler than that! =) Hope you are able to play along!

AMUN'S EYES

Happy New Year Everyone and Welcome to the I Brake For Stamps Blog! This is Chrissy D here, welcoming you all back from the Christmas Break! We hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season!

Todays card, I decided to get a little bit "catty" and use this CUTE Cat image called Amun's Eyes. I created the background using the Smooch Painted Texture technique from the December/ January Technique Junkie Newsletter. The other portion of the background uses the stamp called Holly's Tattered Background. The sentiment comes from the Inspirational Phrases Sheet.

Silver Bells...

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all having a great December and are enjoying all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. My husband and I have been out of the country from December 1-14 so when we returned, I literally had to hit the ground running. I'm finally getting over the jet lag that I didn't have time for! lol I've been enjoying listening to a LOT of Christmas music as I work on Christmas gifts and address all of the cards that I should have already had out in the mail. Ah well, they went out today so there is still hope!

I made quite a few of this particular card as it was quick to mass produce and looks like I spent more time on it than I really did. I heat embossed the Holiday Bells stamp from I Brake for Stamps with silver embossing powder. I love the ribbon in the stamp and the classy-looking bells!

It measures a standard A2 size (4.25 x 5.5") and I've dry embossed the card front using a Sizzix embossing folder from Stampin' Up! (can't recall the name). To that I've added a silver glitter mat measuring 4.0" x 5.25" just to make it 'pop.' The hop layer measures 3.75" x 5". The blue cardstock is Not Quite Navy by SU!. The sentiment is an SU! stamp. I decided to round 2 of the corners on all of the layers to soften it a bit, and finished the card off with some half-backed pearls.

I think this bell stamp would be a nice one for a wedding card as well...and can you totally see that ribbon paper pieced with pretty, feminine paper? Love it...definitely going to try that when I have time! You can see this and thousands of other stamps on the IBFS website.

Vintage Dress

Good morning! It's Holly here with a new challenge from the I Brake for Challenges blog. Today we are going vintage! :-)

Whatcha think? Is this card vintage-y enough? :-)

I paper pieced the dress and the tiny flowers on the dress form. This beautiful stamp is the Ribbon Dress from I Brake for Stamps. Once I had the dress ready to go, I just had fun adding various elements like the ribbon, the doily, the designer papers, and the pearls.

Christmas Puppy

Such a cute little puppy; he's just as sweet as they come. This is Christmas Puppy from I Brake for Stamps and I was so glad to get him. Although I'm not much of a kitty fan (sorry), I do love dogs (especially puppies!)

I decided on a soft, non-traditional colored card for today with lots of pinks and pastel colors. The paper is from Webster's Pages, so it was my color inspiration.

I've used several nesties on here: Oval, Labels 14, and Fancy Tags 1. I added some Stickles around a bit to add some sparkle. The silk ribbon, filigree corner accent and pearl brads are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The puppy has been colored using my Letraset Promarkers; love using those things! :)

CHRISTMAS BUNNY

Hello Stampers!!! This is Chrissy D - Ever work really hard on a project than screw it up by spilling or splashing something all over it? hat is what happened with this ADORABLE bunny!!! I colored several images only to ruin it by trying to air brush another piece and have it splatter ink! VERY FRUSTRATING! THe good news I was able to turn lemons into lemonade by cutting out the image and changing the layout I had!

An Original Little Man

This past weekend was full of family time.....I started feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to share a project featuring fabby I Brake For Stamps and my lil man! On this cork frame, I'm using the Ornate Inchies Background stamp. It could easily be used as seen or separated into individual stamps. The images are unique and lovely and so very versatile. The technique, Cork Frames, can be found on the TJNL Stampbooking CD, also available in the I Brake For Stamps store! Check it out!

When You Wish Upon a Star

Makes no difference who you are. I must say that being a Guest Designer for I Brake for Stamps this past 4 months, has been a wish that has come true. Della has been beyond generous and to work with such quality stamps has truly been a treat.

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here with my last post for I Brake for Stamps. I wanted to save this stamp for an extra special occasion and I think today certainly qualifies. I stamped the image using Versamark and embossed with a really pretty pewter embossing powder. The perfect stamp for these feminine papers and ribbons too.

Holiday Bears

Have you been busy with your Thanksgiving preparations? Here's some eye candy for you while you are taking a break from the kitchen.

These Holiday Bears from I Brake for Stamps are just adorable! I love them all, and here are two of them for you today. You can buy the set of six (at a wonderful savings!) or you can buy each bear individually.

I've used the sweet Caroler Bears on this first card. It looks like a simple card, but just wait til you open it. :-)

When you open it, you see the fun fold of this card. I used the Z-fold technique from Technique Junkies (Fancy Folds cd).

On this second card, I've used the darling Holly Angel Bear. She is colored with Copic markers and I used the Double Ruffle technique from Technique Junkies on the bottom edge of the card.

I also used some shimmery Fairy Dust paint (Creative Inspirations Paint) on the wings and all the burgundy-colored areas. You can see the pretty shimmer in this picture below:

Snow Family

Hello Everyone, it's Robyn here. I have a cute, sweet, adorable stamp to share with you today. It is called Snow Family; you can see it on the IBFS website HERE. I think this has got to be the most adorable little snowman stamp ever! I really ❤ it!
I colored it in using Letraset Promarkers and added a bit of glitter here and there but it didn't mean much to finish this card off. Super simple, fast and oh so cute! =) The papers are Webster's Pages, and I've added some silk ribbon, pearls and little jingle bells that I attached to a little chain to make it more interactive. Super fun!

I have been a Michelangelo fan since I was about 4. The work he did is simply breathtaking and when I saw how many Michelangelo stamps I Brake for Stamps had, I was truly in heaven.

New Wee Release at I Brake for Stamps

Good morning! It's Holly posting today. I Brake for Stamps has some brand new Sylvia Zet Wee Stamps(a Whimsy Stamps product) in the store. These are the most adorable stamps, and I was fortunate enough to play with three of them.

Before I show you my creations, there is a new challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog. This week is all about the Four Seasons - fall, winter, spring, and summer. Create something that evokes any of those four seasons and enter it into the challenge (IBFCC#14).

For my first card, I colored this sweet Wee Florist in some warm autumn colors and added some Wild Orchid flowers (also from I Brake for Stamps). I've used the Wisped Frames technique from Technique Junkies around the image.

For my second creation, I've colored this same Wee Florist in some spring-themed pinks and lavenders. This is actually a Big Flap Card - a fun new Technique Junkies tech from their new 3D and Fun Folds cd.

Now for a fun winter project - a Shadowbox card with this adorable Christmas Bunny. Doesn't this just make you smile? The Shadowbox2 technique can be found on the 3D & Fun Folds cd from Technique Junkies.

One more winter-themed card: I named this one "Dear Santa." This cute little boy reading this letter is called A Letter for Me and he's just as darling as can be in his little jammies with his puppy and his kitty right next to him. I've used the Cuttlebug Highlights technique with this fun card.

This new line by Whimsy Stamps called "Wee Stamps" is by Scottish designer Sylvia Zett. They are just the sweetest images ever! There are quite a few new stamps with this release, so I know you'll want to check them out HERE. Such cuties! So glad IBFS is carrying them!

For my card today, I'm sharing the image called "Let it Snow", now do I really want to see snow? Not just yet but this little cutie is making the idea of snow seem a whole lot more pleasant. Isn't she sweet? They won't be in stock for long...the last release was sold out fast.

Can you believe that Christmas is only 6 weeks away? AHHHHHH, time to buckle down and get things started for the season. What better way to gain some motivation and mojo, than to create a Holiday Card!

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using my absolute favorite Christmas Stamp from I Brake for Stamps.The moment I saw this beautiful stamp in the store, I knew I needed to have it. The perfect image for anyone at Christmas.

To create this card, I used some Fancy Pants papers, gold ribbon, gold glitter and Distress Inks to paint the Reindeer Collage Stamped image. A little Creative Charms bling and it was finished. The Reindeer Collage Stamp is truly magnificent to stamp and I hope that you take a few moments to grab it from the store.

When it comes to Collage Images, I love adding just that little bit of color. It really makes the image come alive. Try your hand at adding a little color and have fun. Until next time

Santa Bear

Ho ho ho!!!!!!!! It's Holly posting today. Isn't this Santa Bear just adorable??? This is one of the brand new bears from I Brake for Stamps. These holiday bears are so cute!

This Santa Bear is colored with Copic markers and I added some white Flower Soft for some powdery snow along the bottom. I've used the Stacked Nesties technique from Technique Junkies - a fun and easy technique. The blue snowy background is some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.

Snowmen Gang

Hello Everyone, Robyn here. It's an amazing Wednesday today! I have a cute little card to share with you using the Snowman Gang stamp from I Brake for Stamps. I've been busy working on my Christmas cards and so far they're all different. LOL I need to settle on one and get busy mass producing. This one is a cutie but not really practical for mailing out so is set to go to a friend's family here local to me.

I've used my Letraset Promarkers to color it in and then used my snow writer on the bottom for a bit of snow. The card measures 6"x6".

Autumn Love

I've been creating some ATC's as of late and I was so moved by this beautiful image. Something about Cupid I think, being a romantic for sure. So I created an Autumn ATC using the Love Collage Stamps.

Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today sharing some Cupid and Glimmer Mist love with you. I first sprayed a white piece of card stock with Harvest Orange, Candy Apple Red and Sun Sisters Glimmer Mists. Then I stamped the image using Brown Memento ink and finished the ATC with white gel pen and a little Stickles for more sparkle. Hope you like it

Now that Halloween has passed, it is time to start thinking about the Holiday Season: Full of miracles, cheer and magic. There is something to this day that I'm drawn to, when it comes to Jolly Old Saint Nick. Maybe it is the child in me, but he makes me smile from ear to ear.

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a sweet little card featuring a wonderful Christmas image. The Small Nostalgic Santa is so perfectly drawn and I love how you can add a little paint and markers to give that Jolly man a little umph. I added a little puff paint for the fur trim and his white beard to really make him shine.

I Brake for Challenges #13 - White Out

Good morning, everyone! It's time for another challenge on the I Brake for Challenges blog. The theme for this week is "White Out." Nooooooo - we don't want you to use the white out stuff that we used in school to cover up our mistakes. LOL We want to see what you create when you do NOT use any white on your project. No white cardstock, no white ink, no white, period.

Quite a challenge, huh?

I pulled out this sweet country stamp of a momma horse and her baby grazing in the meadow. This is called "Mare and Colt" from I Brake for Stamps. I stamped it with Rich Cocoa Memento ink, and then colored in the grass and trees and mountains. For the horses, I used the Silhouette technique from Technique Junkies. It's an interesting take on this scene.

I overstamped this scene with my beloved Holly's Tattered Background stamp to give it that weathered, aged, time-worn look. To enhance the aged appearance, I distressed the edges, and then I added some brads and brown twine to frame the scene.

There is no white on this card at all. I've used kraft cardstock for my main image and some Artichoke and Chocolate Chip cardstock for the matting.

Christmas Cookie Bear

It's a happy Wednesday around here today! I hope your day is going fabulous as well! If not, I hope this little card brings a smile to your face. I thought I would give you a little sneak peek of a soon-to-be-released Christmas Bear stamp sheet from IBFS. I did hear through the grape vine that it will be released later this week! *squeal* It's such a fun, cute set. I know you'll want to be on the look out for that.

The card measures 6"x6". I have created a background pattern using the Merry Christmas/Balls stamp; which I've embossed with clear embossing powder. You can see it better below.

I added some subtle shimmer spray just to add a little somethin'-somethin'. For the stamped layer, I've used the Labels 1 nestie and have edged around it using silver Martha Stewart glitter glue. I think it made the image "pop" a bit more.

I've used my Letraset Promarkers to color in the image and then chalked around it using a soft green/grey chalk.

The Blessing of Peace

Good morning! This is my card for this week's Belli Challenge. We are doing a unique twist this time - it's called 1234. Basically you use a certain number of certain items so they fit into the 1234 group. For example, you could use 1 ribbon, 2 brads, 3 stamps, and 4 sheets of paper. You decide what embellishments go with each number.

For my card, I used:

1 - stamp (The Blessing of Peace from I Brake for Stamps)
2 - die cuts (Labels 17 - Spellbinders, Holly Flourish - Cheery Lynn Designs)
3 - flowers (Wild Orchid Flowers from I Brake for Stamps)
4 - sheets of designer paper (Season's Greetings - Echo Park)

My background is a technique that I created called Collaged Circles. If you are a subscriber to the Technique Junkies newsletter, you can look up the tutorial to see how to create your own background. :-)

Isn't that a fun challenge? You could have all kinds of combinations. Why don't you give it a whirl?

Hi there and happy Wednesday, it's Robyn here today.

I have a card today that is a sad card to create, but a very needed type of card. It's a Thinking of you/Sympathy card. :( One of our son's college classmates just lost her grandfather and although I don't know her I know what she is going through. I just wanted to send her a card to let her know that our family cares.

I embossed the sentiment on the front and for the life of me, I couldn't get a full card picture without the glare. Sorry about that.

I've used My Minds Eye Portabella Road 6x6 paper pad and Stampin' Up! Not Quite Navy card stock for the papers. I really like the sentiment for the verse, but also the way it is written. I like the flourish around it that creates a sort of frame look. It made it easy to cut out. This stamp is called: Perfect Peace. Here's a closer look at it (hopefully with a little less glare).

For the inside of the card, I've used 2 different stamp sheets from I Brake for Stamps. The phrase came from the Inspirational Phrases set, and the butterflies came from the Butterfly Kisses set.

Be The Change

I Love great sentiments and quotes. Sometimes a few words can make such an impact!

Hi everyone Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the beautiful Be the Change Stamp. This has been one of my favorite quotes for years and I absolutely love that I've finally found it. I Brake for Stamps has some of the prettiest quotes and sentiments out there, so make sure you take a look.

For this card I first stamped the sentiment with Versamark and used Sparkle N Sprinkle Copper Kettle embossing powder. I then used Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Broken China, and Dusty Concord to create the background colors. I added a little water so they would blend a bit too. Here is the end result. I hope that you like it and would love to hear your comments.

Vampire Costume Bear

Hey folks! Today's challenge on the I Brake for Challenges blog is to create a project with a Halloween theme. I pulled out this cute Vampire Costume Bear from I Brake for Stamps to share with you today.

How adorable is that?? I colored the bear with Copic markers and I used the Copic Texturizing technique from Technique Junkies to give his fur a "furry" appearance. His vest and his "wings" are painted with shimmery Onyx paint (Creative Inspirations Paint) and I used a gold glitter pen to color in his medallion and the stars.

I found some chipboard letters to spell out "boo!" but they had a glossy white finish on them. So I peeled off that glossy paper and then painted the raw chipboard with the same shimmery Onyx paint. You can see the wonderful shimmer in this picture:

Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the Nature stamp and a bunch of Tattered Angels goodness. I simply embossed the stamp with a silver embossing powder so the image would sing all on its own.

This week's Belli Challenge is to use Flower Soft, felt, or chunky glitter on your project. I wanted to play with this Sweet Blossom girl from I Brake for Stamps, and the Flower Soft was the perfect embellishment for this image. This girl is a brand new Sylvia Zet stamp from IBFS, and the challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog is "Girl Power." Two challenges in one card - too cool! :-)

I colored this Sweet Blossom girl with Copic markers, and then I used the Wisped Frame technique from Technique Junkies. I added some Lavender Flower Soft to the areas where the flowers were. The seam binding is hand-dyed by sponging the wisteria ink all over it.

A Tag a Day

Seems that every fall since I started paper crafting, I get into the spirit of tags. I think its the desire to personalize gifts that really drives me and Fall is the start of busy season for celebrations.

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today with another tag using a very whimsical stamp from I Brake for Stamps. As you all know, I love fairies. I actually collect them and they always move me. Call it the child in me or the believer of magical things, but I adore them and this stamp is no exception.It is an elf fairy and I love love love it.

For this tag, I used 3 different colors of embossing powders from Sparkle n Sprinkle, as well as a few Glimmer Mists. The sprigs are from Petaloo as is the flower. I also used the Tree Background and this amazingly beautiful sentiment stamp Create Something. I hope you like it

New Wee Stamps!

Good morning, it's Holly posting today. Guess what?? I Brake For Stamps is now offering the gorgeous Wee Stamps in rubber from artist Sylvia Zet!!!

These beautiful stamps are perfect for this week's challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog. It's all about Girl Power, and the design team has had a blast playing with these new Wee Stamps for this challenge.

I played with two of these cuties, and the first one is this adorable Sweet Blossom. I colored her with Copic markers and I used the new Stacked Nesties technique from Technique Junkies. I also added some of the Wild Orchid flowers (Aster Daisies) that are available at I Brake for Stamps.

For my second card, I used this beautiful Silver Fairy stamp. This is colored with Copic markers, and then I used some Creative Inspirations Paints over her hair and her wings. The die cut flourishes are painted with Silver Frost paint for a shimmery accent, and some tiny little jingle bells are dangling from the hand-dyed ribbon.

The wings are painted with Fairy Dust - a shimmery translucent paint. It's perfect for angels and fairies and butterflies. I've used the Silver Frost paint on the hair and the tiny jingle bell on the end of the wing. You can see the beautiful shimmer here:

I just love these sweet little girls! This Girl Power challenge runs for two weeks, so you've got plenty of time to order these Wee Stamps and enter your creation in the challenge.

Hi Everyone! It's Robyn here today with a sweet little image; which is a new release TODAY! The design team have all been creating samples for you on the challenge site so I hope you'll take a moment to pop over there and see what we've been up to. I've created with the stamp Winter Fairy. (LOVE!) You can see the Wee Stamps line on the IBFS website; which were created by the amazing designer and illustrator Sylvia Zet from Scotland. I Brake for Stamps is making them available to us beginning today!

It's a very special day for a very special month. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month and to honor all of the survivors and those still battling this awful disease Della has decided to add these "make-someone-smile-today" line of stamps, and I'm so glad she did.

I also wanted to let you know that today is also the day that the IBFS challenge blog has a new challenge; which is "Girl Power." I sure hope you'll play along. Perhaps to reate a card as an encouragement for someone in your life who has been touched by Breast Cancer in some way and send them your finished card as a way of letting them know you are thinking of them.

Frightfully Eerie

Halloween does cometh!!! and I love it. Anything ghoulish, wicked and creepy is perfect for this time of year. So what better way to start celebrating than to create a Wicked little tag. Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share a really cool tag using the Tree Background Stamp from I Brake for Stamps. This stamp has so many possibilities and I've decided that I am going to try a few different tags using it. But today you get to see my Halloween one.

First I stamped the tree image onto a Glimmer Misted tag. Then I applied a few layers of UTEE. Once dried and cooled, I cracked it and added some Glass bead medium, a few small embellishments and the ribbon. Definitely wicked I'd say boohahahahaha. Hope you enjoy

Walk Beside Me

There are times when I want to make "just because" cards that I can send to friends to brighten their day. I found this beautiful sentiment from I Brake for Stamps, and I wanted to make a feminine and sunny card with it.

I used some sunny Yellow Crepe Ruche paper and some Cryogen White (a yummy shimmery white cardstock) from Paper Temptress. The sentiment was stamped and die cut with an oval die, and I used the Wisped Frames technique. I added some flourishes that I die cut with the Cryogen White cardstock, and I added some Wild Orchid flowers from I Brake for Stamps to embellish the lower right edge of the sentiment.

Too Adorable!

Hey everyone, it's Robyn here today. I am super excited to share this card with you today. Della included the most adorable stamp in my last Design Team kit and I absolutely adore it. It's called Kittens in Mitten. I tell you what...it just makes me smile!

I've paper pieced the mitten and added white gel pen to accent, and then I colored in the kitties with my Letraset Promarkers. I've also added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers: 20mm Roses and 15 mm Roses. Did you know that I Brake for Stamps is the only US-based stockist for Wild Orchid Crafts flowers?

The card measures 5" x 7". Doesn't it make just the cutest country Christmas card? Such a fun stamp. Hope you enjoy seeing it.

Yup, it is true, I'm a Twilight fan. Whether it is team Edward or team Jacob, it really doesn't matter to me. With the countdown started for the new Breaking Dawn film, I thought it was the perfect time to create a card using this amazing Silhouette Coyote stamp from I Brake for Stamps, which I interpreted as a wolf.

IBFCC #10 - Fall

It's Holly posting today, and this week's challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog is all about fall. I love the fall season - you're probably sick of hearing me gush about the crisp, cool weather. LOL Just as soon as I actually GET some here, maybe I'll stop gushing. Hee hee hee!

I decided to use this fun Harvest Pumpkins scene from I Brake for Stamps for my challenge card today. This image just screams fall, doesn't it? The pumpkins, the apples, the adorable little kitty.......

I stamped this image on watercolor paper and then pulled out various dye inks (SU as well as distress inks) to color in the image. I colored the background behind the fence a warm golden glow to go with the fall theme.

The pumpkin cardstock is stamped with Holly's Tattered Background, and I used the Torn Frames technique on the dark brown cardstock. I just couldn't cover up this sweet scene with ribbons or buttons or anything, so this card is clean and simple (and tattered). :-)

Delight in the Day...

Hi Everyone, its Robyn here. Happy Wednesday to each of you; I hope you are having a good week. Its lovely weather here in Michigan as the cooler weather has finally moved in and the Maple trees start to turn lovely hues of reds, oranges, and yellows. It's my favorite season of the year. I've already been to the orchard and have been baking lots of yummy Fall goodies for my family and friends. Last night I made Apple Crumble/Crisp for dessert and it was soooo good. Ahhhhh, Autumn!!!

So, that brings me to my card share for today. I'm playing along with the IBFS challenge that starts today; which is "Fall" (you can see it here). I submitted a scarecrow card - (super cute image), but wanted to create with my new Cornstalk Scene stamp that I just got from I Brake for Stamps...it was nagging at me to color it! :) I always enjoy using my Promarkers and this stamp is such an amazing Autumn stamp that it called for some relaxing coloring time.

Saskatchewan Tiger Lily

When I saw this stamp at I Brake for Stamps, it made me think of my husband. Why you ask would a flower do that? Well the Tiger Lily is the Provincial flower for Saskatchewan, and my wonderful husband is from there. So I asked if this one could be included in my design team package, and I'm so glad I selected it.

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the Large Lily with Forever stamp. For this image, I stamped on some beautiful Mica/Metallic paper from Paper Temptress. I embossed the image, then painted it entirely with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glaze. Once dried, I added a little Copic marker in burgundy and finished it off with Helmar Crackle Medium. I love how this one turned out.

It has a bit of a watercolor feel and I love it. This image stamps so amazingly clean and was super easy to work with. Here is a close up of the flower for you, so you can really see the detail.

Spirelli and Carnations

I always need birthday cards, and I wanted to make a feminine, frilly, and very pink card this time. So I pulled out my beautiful January Carnation stamp from I Brake for Stamps and colored it with pink Copic markers before cutting it out with a circle die. I just saw that this stamp is on sale this week - check it out HERE!

I wanted to use some papers that would go with the pretty pink carnations, so I pulled out my Be Mine 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park) which I bought from I Brake for Stamps (just a few left so grab yours HERE). These papers are so pretty - shades of pinks and grays and blacks which are so perfect for feminine projects.

Dare to be Different

I love experimenting with colors and mediums. Some of the best stamps to do this with are Silhouette stamps and the ones available from I Brake for Stamps are simply stunning (I'm absolutely in love with this one)

Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today.For my card today I sprayed a Cardboard heart from Basically Bare with Glimmer Mist, then I added some UTEE to the top and when melting it and it was still liquid, I pressed a stamp into it to create this beautiful artistic heart. Then using one of my favorite sentiment stamps, Dare to be Different, I added the image using Distress Ink and when it was almost dry, sprinkled with embossing powder so that only some of the sentiment would be embossed. Here is the final project for you.

I love the simplicity of this card, yet it still packs an artistic punch. There are so many amazing phrases and sentiments in the I Brake for Stamps shop. Something for every single project I'm certain. So take a moment today and dare to be different.

IBFCC #9 - Background Stamps

Howdy! It's Holly posting today, and today's challenge over on the I Brake for Challenges blog is all about background stamps. So pull out your background stamps and get inky and share your creations with us!

I love background stamps, and my favorite one is Holly's Tattered Background from I Brake for Stamps. This is THE most versatile stamp I've ever owned. Just look at how I used it on this card.

Not only did I stamp the Tattered Background on the red paper, but I also stamped it directly over the horse scene after I colored it. Now it looks like a very old Western painting - love it!!

I stamped this Desert Mustang with Timber Brown Stazon ink onto watercolor paper, and then I watercolored it with various distress inks. After this was completely dry, I sponged some Antique Linen distress ink around the edges. Then I used Antique Linen distress ink and stamped Holly's Tattered Background all over the colored image.

I used some Walnut Stain distress ink on the same Tattered background and stamped it all over the red paper in the background. The main image was distressed with a distress tool, and then I used the Torn Frames technique (from Technique Junkies) around it. Lastly, I frayed some twill tape and added that behind the Torn Frame.

You can see that you don't "have" to use background stamps only on your backgrounds. Give your stamps a whirl and see what you can do with yours. Better yet, check out what the other gals have done on the I Brake for Challenges blog and play along with us. There's a fun prize for one lucky player!

Not that it was a hardship, though! {Jane Bosi} bringing you a little goodie to make you start thinking about Fall and candy :) These yummy Costume Bears can be found in the I Brake For Stamps store--in plenty of time for all of your Halloween needs!! I've been itchin' to color these cutie pies and hope you can see the detail in my close up shots. I've used Pencils Over Markers (Technique Junkies Newsletter) to complete each bear and then added some ribbon and spica sparkles to finish things off.

Fall is in the Air

I love Maple Leaves! Maybe it is the Canadian in me, but those colors as fall comes into play, are truly breathtaking. Every autumn color can be found on that one special leaf. Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a fall card I created using the beautiful Bold Maple Leaf stamp from I Brake for Stamps.

This image is absolutely stunning and perfect for both feature images and backgrounds on projects. The card has both of those and I hope that you can truly appreciate the beautiful image this stamp creates.

First off I used Versamark and a little glitter to create the background. Then I stamped the Bold Maple Leaf 3 times on different paper and used some wonderful embossing powder to create these autumn leaves. After they were heat embossed, I fussy cut them and using Helmar Liquid Scrapdots, created a wonderful dimensional pile of leaves.

I think this stamp is my favorite so far. The versatility is simply AMAZING!!!! Here is a close up shot of the leaves themselves. I hope you can see the amazing detail the Bold Maple Leaf stamp creates when you emboss it.

Try you hand at some of the amazing bold images at I Brake for Stamps. There are so many to choose from and with Autumn right around the corner, make sure you look at the Fall and Halloween stamps too.

Just Peachy

It's Holly posting today. I'm playing along with the Belli Challenge again, and this week is all about acetate or vellum. I've used the Vellum Sentiments technique from Technique Junkies for today's card.

I stamped these gorgeous peaches from I Brake for Stamps and colored them with Copic markers. Then I stamped the sentiment on the vellum, centered it over the peaches, and adhered it with brads in each corner. There is a little trick to this technique, but you'd have to subscribe to the Technique Junkies newsletter to read about it.

Chuggin' Along...

Hello Everyone, it's Robyn here today. Today, I've made this super masculine card for my hubby's friend who has recently in the hospital. They thought he had a heart attack, but thankfully it was something else (not sure what). So, I decided that this stamp from the Collage Elements #1 sheet would be just the thing to use.

I've paper pieced it using some Pink Paislee paper.

I cut the shape out using one of my Nesties (labels #14 I think), and added some true vintage buttons to the card. I distressed the layers using Vintage Photo Distress ink and then misted it to give it an aged effect.

Hope you enjoy seeing it. I know masculine cards don't come easy for some (me included), so hope it inspires you.

Home Sweet Home & Back to School Again!

Hi there, Regan here! This week I have two projects to share with you.

For the first project I created a card using the ATC #1 stamp sheet and inspiration from the challenges at Papercraft Star and I Brake For Challenges.

I used the swirls background stamp from the ATC #1 stamp sheet for the base of the card using River Rock ink by Stampin' Up! to give it a tone on tone look. Come join us at I Brake For Challenges!

For the second project I created a card using a back to school theme and my favorite stamp.... you guessed it, Be My Valentine Girl. I used the same paper to paper piece her dress as I did for the last back to school card but this time I gave her red hair! I went a vintage this time and added some book pages and some stitching.

It is no secret, that when it comes to Myths and Legends, Miss Erika is a huge fan. Ever since I was young, I thought being a mermaid would be the perfect way to live. Free in the ocean, talking to the animals of the water.I still dream about that once in a while and wanted to share with you today an absolutely beautiful stamp available at I Brake for Stamps.

This is probably to most stunning mermaid stamp I've come across and the image is perfect when you stamp it. For this card, I decided to do a little Copic coloring and some "very fussy cutting" with the Moonlight Mermaid image. I stamped her 3 different times so I could get the splashes and the tail. Adding a splash of glitter to make that water come alive and we've got ourselves a winner I think. Here is the finished card for you. To get a closer look, just click on the photos themselves.

Distressed Shabby Chic Collage

It's Holly posting today! Have you been playing in the challenges over on the I Brake for Challenges blog? This week's challenge is a fun one - grungy, distressed, shabby chic.

I used the Distress Stain Resist technique (from the cool new Stampbooking CD in the IBFS store) with this beautiful Magnolia Tile collage stamp from I Brake for Stamps. Then I used the same colors of distress stains to color some white seam binding, which I crumpled up and let dry. To create the blue background, I used the distress stains again, but with more blues and less browns.

Yeah, I was having a ton of fun with my distress stains! Wanna see what happened to my hands??

Hee hee hee!

After everything dried, I distressed the edges of the collage and adhered all the layers. I tied the ribbon into a bow and added a brown button with linen thread in the center. This collage is just so beautiful, I didn't want to cover it up with a bunch of embellishments or layers.

Friendship...

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here with a cute little friendship card. The stamp sheet that I'm using today is called "Inspirational Phrases." I absolutely love this set! There are 28 different sentiments and phrases on this sheet, so you can see how you would easily get a lot of miles out of it! :) I thought the "Your friendship is a special blessing" sentiment was just the phrase I needed for this cute, whimsical card that I created to give to my friend.

My card base measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" so is a standard A2 size. I've used a paper line that I've had in my hoarding vault all summer because I love it so much. :) It's by Echo Park called "A Walk in the Park," and I've used my Cricut and the Country Life cartridge to create the fun little happy sun image and tied some baker's twine around the top note that I've mounted it on and then added a few little buttons.

That's about it, super quick, cute, and fun. I hope it brings a smile to your face today. Thanks for stopping by!

I've used several techniques from the Technique Junkie newsletter to complete my card: Double Pocket and Faux Felt! Great fun and much better IRL! I chose my colors based on the itunes gift card.....she was delighted!!

Haida Art

When I first saw this stamp in the I Brake for Stamps store, I knew that I had to have it. I've always love Haida art. Ever since that first trip to Vancouver, seeing those amazing totem poles. So when I received this stamp in my design team package, I had an idea immediately.

Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today sharing with you a very different card suitable for either masculine or feminine occasions. First of I stamped the image using Versamark, and embossed with black embossing powder. Then out came my gel pens and Copic markers to give this mask some Haida flair!!!

Once completely dry, I added some crackle paint to the top, to really give it even more character. The final project you ask??? Here it is. I hope you really enjoy it.

It certainly makes me smile. How about you? Here is a close up of the image so you can really see it in all its GLORY!!!

Halloween Treat Box

HI All!

Here is a small milk carton I made using the new Halloween Sheet! I grabbed the milk carton template here. For the Background I used the Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink Pad on a craft sheet and spritzed with water and smooshed the paper right into it. I used the Speckle image off the Grunge Backgrounds 2 sheet for some texture. This little box will be perfect for putting Candy Corns in :)

Witch Bear

It's Holly posting today, and I've got a little surprise to give away - keep on reading until you get to the end. :-)

Awwwwwwwww isn't this witch bear adorable? I colored this Witch Costume Bear with a combination of Copic markers and glitter pens. The broom is sticking out "Out of the Nesties Box", and I used a spider web embossing folder on the black background.

It's hard to see the gorgeous shimmer on this little cutie pie, so I've decided to give this card away to one lucky winner. That's right. Leave a comment telling me what your favorite bear is in the IBFS store (see them all here), and I will use random.hubby to pick a winner! I'll mail this card out to the winner, and he/she will be able to hold this card in his/her hands and see the shimmer in person.

Back to School & Friendship

Hi there, Regan here! I actually have two projects to share with you today! The first is a fun card that I created for the Back to School challenge over at the I Brake For Challenges Blog!

I used my all time favorite stamp, Be My Valentine Girl, along with the number stamp from the ATC #1 stamp sheet to create this card. The pattern papers are from two school stacks by DCWV and the paper for her dress is from the handmade collection by K&Company.

The second project is dedicated to one of my best friends for a challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles. I wanted to honor our 20 year friendship by making a layout.

Circles Circles Circles

I love the look of geometric shapes in a card and there is nothing more fun than creating your own patterned paper with some fun designs. Hi everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a fun project using the Circle Dots stamps from I Brake for Stamps.

To create this card, I used some cream and white card stock, Glimmer Mists and Clear embossing powder. First I spray the background paper with Lemon Grass and Trunk Bay Glimmer Mist. Then I stamped the Circle Dots image in a few different colors of ink. I continued this technique again using Clear embossing powder and Lemon Grass, Trunk Bay and Bell Bottom Jeans Glimmer Mist. Finally a few die cut circles and VOILA!!! a very geometric card using one wonderful Circle Dots Stamp. Easy Peasy!!!

Adding a little Red for contrast and this "sweet" card is finished. Try creating your own patterned paper using simple stamp designs, Glimmer Mists and embossing powder for a real unique design. Wicker Chair

Good morning! It's Holly posting today. I fell in love with this wicker chair when I saw it in the I Brake for Stamps store, and I put in a big order for a bunch of the Embossing Arts images there. :-) I watercolored this sweet image with distress inks and then sponged some Tea Dye distress ink around the edges. The kraft mat underneath was turned into a Torn Frame via the technique of the same name from Technique Junkies.

I didn't realize this until after the card was done, but I picked the strips of blue patterned paper to subconsciously coordinate with the weaving in the wicker chair. How cool is that? I love it when I pick just the "right" paper only to realize later on "why" it was so perfect. I went through literally ALL of my designer paper, rejecting everything I saw because it just wasn't right, until I found this particular sheet from the Country Drive collection by Echo Park. :-)

Get Well Card

Hi Everyone, Robyn here today with a lovely wishing well "Get Well" card. I've used the Bo Bunny Gabrielle 6x6 paper pad from I Brake for Stamps, and of course the Wishing You stamp.
I colored the image in using my Letraset Promarkers. I have more details on my blog with a video of me creating this card over at my website HERE if you'd like to know more.
This sentiment is called Wishing You Well, and although it didn't come with the Wishing Well stamp, I think they go perfectly together.

Napoli and Tags

Hi everyone. I'm so stinkin excited to be a part of this fantastic team and I hope that our journey together will inspire you. Erika Taylor here today with my first ever post as an I Brake for Stamps Design Team member. I've absolutely loved stamps for quite some time. I think it started in Kindergarten when you'd get a little smiley face stamp on the corner of your completed assignments. Oh how I loved that little smiley face hehe.

Today I'm sharing with you two projects that I've created. The first is an artistic tag. For this tag I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Distress Crackle Paint to create the backgrounds on both the tag and the Basically Bare Chipboard Hearts. After the paint was dry, I stamped the beautiful Floral Silhouette Bouquet onto the hearts using Versamark, then embossed them with a pretty Pewter embossing powder. The image is very soft, but adds to the tag perfectly.

Next, I created a card using one of my favorite types of stamps available at I Brake For Stamps. If you haven't picked up any of the collage stamps, You've just gotta!!! the images are striking and the option to double stamp and fussy cut to create dimension is amazing.

First off, I took a white piece of card stock and sprayed it with Pink Polka Dot and Teal High Heel Chalkboard Glimmer Mist. Once completely dry, I stamped the Napoli Collage stamp using Versafine in black, Then I re stamped the image onto a scrap piece of white card stock and embossed with a glitter embossing powder. I fussy cut the butterfly, and added it to the front of the card using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. The color combination of pink, teal and black is truly beautiful. To add a little more dimension to the image, I highlighted the sentiment and some of the fruit with a white pen.

Distressed Pear

Hi there everyone!
Its Kristy here and I wanted to share with you what I did today!
I came across this Pear image from the Art Pears Sheet and had to use it today! The pear is stamped onto grungeboard that I rubbed some Distress Stains on. I cut out the pear and sponged the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink. For the layer underneath the Pear, I stamped Holly's Tattered Background on a piece of Vellum that I rubbed with Distress stain. Tore it and rubbed the edges with Distress ink. The other half of the card has been distressed with Frayed Burlap ink, a distress tool and also stamped with Grunge Ornamental Heart. To finish it off I tied a black ribbon and mounted it to a black Square Card.

Tie Dye Leaves

Hi y'all! It's Holly posting today, and I have used the fun Tie Dye Chic Embellishments technique from the new Stampbooking CD on this leafy card. The beauty of this cd is that the techniques can be applied to cards and 3D projects as well as scrapbook pages. There are 75 awesome techniques on this cd that you will want to try out for yourself.

I wanted to showcase this technique on a card since that is my primary canvas of choice. I've used this Tie Dye Chic technique with some leaves that I cut out with Tim Holtz's leaf die. The leaves are stamped with Holly's Tattered Background from I Brake for Stamps and I used my fingers to shape them and give them a real 3D appearance.

The sentiment is also from I Brake for Stamps, and I've used the Wisped Frames technique on it. I tied some linen thread around each leaf stem and I wrapped it around the edge of the card base. I opted for a clean and simple card base so that the leaf embellishments can take center stage.

Venetian Carnivale Mask

Good morning! I have a very different kind of project to share with you today. I happened to be browsing around one day and I saw a gorgeous project with a mask on Linda Duke's blog. To be honest, I don't remember what the rest of it looked like - I just remember the mask. It just stuck in my brain and I had to sit down and create something with it.

I think that turned out so cool! I used the Antique Glimmers technique from Technique Junkies on the mask, and then I used Antique Silver Creative Inspirations Paint around the edges of the mask as well as inside the eyes. While I had the silver paint out, I used it to paint a bamboo skewer - that is the handle of the mask. Instead of stamping on the mask, I added rows of pearls around the eyes so you can see the wonderful shimmer on the mask.

I hand-dyed the seam binding with various purple inks and Glimmer Mist, and then I attached the ribbon to the silver handle along with some silver cord. A Wild Orchid flower from I Brake for Stamps is at the top of the handle. The sentiment is also from I Brake for Stamps which you can see by clicking here.
