I Brake for Christmas Day!

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, a  safe and happy holiday season!

My clean and simple card uses a lovely image from the Small Christmas sheet, which is one of the newest stamp releases.  The sentiment is from Christmas Tree Collage Quarter Sheet.

I masked off my card front with tape, and blended three colors of Distress Oxide ink: Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves.  I spritzed this with water to get a snowy look.  When it dried, I stamped the scene on top using Distress Oxide Black Soot.

Thank you for visiting!

I Brake for Christmas Tree Collage!

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well with their holiday preparations! I have a card to share that is either good for mass-producing, or for a last minute card.  This card was quick to make because I stamped on watercolor paper and just quickly added color with my pan watercolor set.  This really is a FAST way to add color.

This affordable quarter sheet set has two choices for an outside sentiment and a great inside-of-the-card sentiment too!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

I Brake for Penguins!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a very special thank you card.

I used Large Penguin from I Brake for Stamps.

My husband is a member of the Elks.  I am the 5th grade special ed program aide at an elementary school.  I approached the Elks about helping out my school and of course they came through for us!

We have a HIB library which stands for High Interest Books.  Due to poor funding our school library is rarely open and we don't have a librarian so we now have a "mini" library that the kids can access anytime they want to.
The Elks gave us a generous donation to buy new books to add to our library.

I Brake for Christmas Birdhouses!

Hello! I hope you are feeling the joy of the season.  I made a card this morning with a charming stamp that takes up the whole card front.  This makes Christmas cards easier, as I just needed to add some matting to finish off the card.

I colored the image, Merry Christmas Bird Houses, with alcohol markers, and then I added the details and shading with colored pencils. I find that this helps speed up the coloring process.

Thank you for visiting and have a crafty day!

I Brake for Snowmen!

Snowmen are one of those stamps where you can have a bunch, but they all seem to have their own personality.  I just adore this one, called Snowman with Lantern

I made my background with glitter paste and a stencil.  It looks lovely on any color of cardstock, but it looks especially nice on black.  I colored and fussy cut out the snowman, and placed him over a couple die-cut snow hills. I added a little flocking to the snowman’s hat.

The sentiment is from Christmas Tree Collage quarter sheet. This card is still flat for easy mailing.

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!
