I Brake for Gabe's Graduation!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a graduation card that I made for our neighbor's son.
We've known them for over 10 years and watched him grow from a boy into a wonderful young man.

I used Grad Owl from I Brake for Stamps on the front of the card.

The picture makes it difficult to see but the blue frame is popped up and I hand drew the branch for the wise old owl to perch on.

On the inside I used Happy Graduation.

Happy graduation season everyone!

I Brake for Camping!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I am sharing  another card using a stamp I used just recently (African and Tree cards in this post).  I was looking at the Tribal Blanket stamp again, and this time I saw what could be a little scene.

I colored onto the stamp with water-based markers, spritzed it with a mist of water and stamped it onto watercolor paper.  I then added the die cut tent to complete the scene.  I will be sending this to my son when he goes away to summer camp in a few weeks.

The stamps I used today can be purchased in the I Brake for Stamps store:

Hope you have a wonderful day!

I Brake for Dreams!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my friend.  I've worked with her for 12 years and she's now moving to the Middle School.  I wanted to wish her well.
Her family owns a marina and I know she loves nautical things so I think she'll like this.

and

The Live Your Dream verse is from the Sea set and the verse inside is from the Phrases set.

I wanted it to look like the turtles were swimming and there were bubbles all around them so I made a shaker card.  The paper with the coral inside the shaker it a pretty shimmery metallic paper.

I love Sting and my card makes me think of his song Dream of the Blue Turtles. (Just the title...not the actual song)

I Brake for 70th Birthdays!

Hello all!  Hope you are well!  Today I am sharing a card I made for a special aunt’s 70th birthday!  I think she will really like these pretty Sweet Peas!

I colored the flowers with a base of alcohol marker, and then added subtle shading with colored pencils.  The pencil came in handy for the thin stems too!

I used a bunch of paper from my scrap box. The green paper was already embossed!  I used some number dies to personalize the card for the big occasion!  I will stamp a birthday greeting on the inside.

The Sweet Pea stamps are available HERE at the I Brake for Stamps store.  They are available in the regular size, which I used on my card, or in a Jumbo size, if your prefer.

Thanks for visiting the blog today!  Hope you have time for stamping today!

I Brake for Crab Surprises!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing

I made this for my Father-in-law who lives in Florida.
I thought he'd enjoy this image.

It's from I Brake for Stamps.
I stamped Happy Father's Day inside and my husband personalized it for his dad.

Side note...does anyone know what the balls in the basket are??
I've used this image twice and I'm not sure if I've colored them remotely correctly! lol!!

I Brake for Garden Shelves!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I Brake for Stamps has a neat little line of stamps that are Garden Shelves.  They are such pretty illustrations and are nice, large stamps that take up a good portion of the card front.

I colored Garden Shelf #2 with alcohol markers.  I picked some analogous colors, that is, colors that are next to one another on the color wheel and then a neutral.  So those were Green, Blue, Purple + Brown as my neutral.  I tried to stick to those colors so that the finished product looked harmonious.

I added a little sentiment from Bubble Wrap, Lattice and Flowers Sheet, to finish off the card.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the blog today!  Have a great day!

I Brake for Poppies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a silhouette card.

I stamped it in black and then added just a touch of color here and there.
I left it blank for now.  I think it'll make a pretty birthday or get well card.

I can't wait to try the other stamp from this set!

I Brake for Weddings!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  Chances are, you know someone who got married in June!  I am not invited to a wedding this month, but I do need some cards for the stash.

I colored this Rose Bouquet with alcohol markers.  I applied some Art Glitter Glue with the fine tip nozzle to portions of the roses to adhere some white glitter.  After this dried, I fussy cut out my image.

I adhered it with foam adhesive  over top of an embossed piece of cardstock where I had stamped the greeting at the bottom.  I think this turned out really pretty!

These stamps are available individually (Rose Bouquet and On Your Wedding) or as part of the Wedding Sheet stamp set.

Thank you for visiting the blog today!  Hope to see you again soon!

I Brake for Irises!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a floral card.
I think I'll use it as a birthday card but we'll see.
I think it would be a pretty sympathy card as well.

I highlighted the image by framing it with a vine die.
My irises are currently blooming.  I have two different varieties and they look so beautiful right now!
