I Brake for LOVE!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I am diving into making Valentines.  I just love sending them to my family, from grandparents to nieces and nephews!

For this card, I combined two different stamps sets, and the LOVE stamp is also sold separately. (Links are at the end of this post.)

Wedding Sheet - I Brake for Stamps
Floral Half Sheet - I Brake for Stamps

I heat embossed the word LOVE and several of the flower stamps with Gold Detail Embossing powder over some patterned paper. I then used water-based markers to color some of the details in the LOVE stamp.  I trimmed all the pieces out.

Then, I used a coordinating piece of patterned paper for my background, and arranged the stamps over top.  The LOVE and two of the little flowers are popped up on foam tape.  I then finished the card by adding some clear glitter Nuvo drops around the card, for embellishment.

I also used the scrap of patterned paper, and some more stamped flowers to finish the inside of the card.

The stamps I used on this card can be found in the I Brake for Stamps store.

I Brake for Bunnies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a sweet Easter card with you.

I've used
from

Aren't these bunnies sweet?
We may have received 14" of snow last Saturday/Sunday but I'm getting ready for Spring!  I've been tossing my veggie scraps outside to help the bunnies in my yard out.  I also feed the birds and by default...the gray squirrels, red squirrels and chipmunks! lol!

I Brake for Penguins!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I hope you are safe and warm after the weekend storm.  I found this image, already colored, on my craft desk when I was cleaning up.  So in this frigid weather, it just seemed like the right time to make it into a card.

The image was colored with alcohol markers, and then I die cut it out.  I also use the same die cut for the red cardstock.  I added some punched little banners that were cut from red lumiere paper.  It adds a subtle shimmer.

I really do love this stamp, Season’s Greetings Penguins, because it has the sentiment already included.  That really cuts down on time, especially when you might be using it to mass produce your Christmas cards.  Never too early to start thinking about it!

Have a wonderful day!

I just stumbled onto it and I don't know how I didn't see it in the store before!
IBFS has a wonderful selection of flower stamps.

While I was hunting around for some designer paper to coordinate with my flower I found this adorable bee paper!  How perfect, right?

I Brake for the Hokey Pokey!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  When I saw this Hokey Pokey sentiment in the IBFS store, I just had to have it, it is so funny!  I loved how it went with one of the Carmen Medlin Curiosities called the Monster Mash.

I first colored the monster using alcohol markers and some glitter gel pen.  I trimmed it out with scissors.  Then I stamped the sentiment on my white panel and die cut out a pattern in the corner using a Tim Holtz die.  The panel was placed over a Distress Oxide background and the monster popped up on foam adhesive.

I really had a lot of fun with this card!

Have a wonderful day!

I Brake for Luna Moths!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a dear friend that just lost her mother. My friend is passionate about nature as was her mother so when I saw this STAINED GLASS LUNA -LARGE
I knew that's what I wanted to use on her card.

I remember talking to my friend the first time I saw a Luna moth in person.  I was with my son at his Boy Scout camp and there was one on a shed.  I could have stared at it for hours.  More recently we had one on our screen on our sliding glass door.  He stayed for hours.  It was quite beautiful.  For those of you that don't know, a Luna can grow to be an average of about 4".

I stamped the image twice and cut the moth out of the second one so that I could put him with the sentiment.  The With Sympathy is from EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I Brake for Freddie the Frog!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I hope you are doing well!

I used the digital version of the Trampoline Freddie stamp (but it is available in rubber, too) and colored it with markers.  I then die cut it out and framed it with navy cardstock.  The background was made by scribbling water-based markers onto watercolor paper, spritzing liberally with water, then adding chunky pretzel salt onto the piece and letting it dry.  It created this cool pattern!

Here is a photo of the entire panel. I actually made this months ago but couldn’t bring myself to use it for a while since I liked it so well!

The stamps I used on my card today are available in the IBFS Store:

Trampoline Freddie (digi)
Trampoline Freddie (rubber)
Also available in this Freddie, Mice and More rubber sheet
Bad Memory Sentiment stamp

I Brake for Birds!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a pretty pastel card with you.
I've used a half sheet set from I Brake for Stamps.
This set is called SHEET 141A BIRDS.

I just love birds so much so this set really inspires me.
There is a second half sheet with similar images that I also have and love.

Here's the inside of my card with a sentiment from the set.
As I was making this I started to think that if you colored the flowers pink and still used the "birds of a feather" with a Valentine verse inside it would make a beautiful Valentine's Day card as well.

I Brake for Fuchsia Flowers!

Happy New Year!

I have a fresh floral card to share with you today.  After the fullness of the holiday season, when I had time to sit back down at my craft desk, I felt like using flowers.

I stamped twice, then colored the fuchsia stamp from this Floral Half Sheet stamp set. I then fussy cut with scissors and a craft knife.  I added some glitter glue to the flower to add shine and dimension.

Next, I stamped the Iron Work Background stamp with navy ink on light blue cardstock.  I decided to make a frame out of this by using a circle die (stay tuned for how I will use this part of the image, it is too pretty to toss).

I found a scrap of embossed cardstock to put behind the frame, then arranged my flowers.

I hope you are finding time for stamping in the New Year!  So many possibilities lie ahead.  And, of course, the I Brake for Stamps store is open for your perusal.  Have a great day!
