I Brake for Friendship!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a friendship card.

and

The "lattice" was cut using Spellbinders Quatrafoil Panel.

Here's everything you get on this sheet.

I fussy cut the bird and the berry branch and then popped them up on foam tape to add some dimension.

This has such a beautiful verse on the inside.
I also used the little Chickadee from the bird sheet.

I Brake for July Larkspur!

Hello from design team member, Heidi.  The flower of the month for July is the Larkspur!

It comes in the store in either a regular size, or Jumbo.  I have the regular size.  I colored it in purples and blues, and added white gel pen to the centers.  My background was made by stenciling Distress Oxide inks over lavender lumiere paper.  The oxide inks remain matte so just the covered portion has the sheen from the lumiere paper.

Thank you for visiting the I Brake for Stamps blog.  The store is always open! Come back again soon!

I Brake for Roses!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a wedding card.

I used two stamps from I Brake for Stamps...

and

The center panel was made with the
Martha Stewart Heartbeat Pattern punch.

I stamped the roses twice so that I could cut some of the flowers and leaves out and pop them up to give it some pretty dimension.

On this inside I stamped the roses two more times to accent the corners and then used the "Hold On" verse in the center.

Now I just need someone to get married so that I can give this away! lol!

I Brake for Nature!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I hope you are doing well!  This card is from a lovely all-in-one stamp.  The entire scene and quote are in the stamp, called Joy Comes From... — so you can just enjoy the coloring.

You can’t see it in the photo, but I added some glitter pen to the water to make it shine.  I then just framed the image and placed it over some understated, neutral patterned paper.

I hope that you have time to enjoy simple things - like stamping - this week!

I Brake for Lighthouse Shakers!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a thank you card that I made using
MS97 Full Plate.

I Brake for Stamps has many beautiful nautical images (and I own most of them) but I think this sheet is my favorite!

There are so many gorgeous images on this sheet.
I've used many of them several times.

My daughter just had her high school graduation and two days later she turned 18.  Her best friend's dad and girlfriend took her out to dinner for graduation, cooked her her favorite meal that they make for her birthday, gave her a beautiful necklace and a generous cash gift.

They also invited her to go to Myrtle Beach with them.  She wasn't able to tag along on the vacation due to the fact that she was a featured artist at a local art gallery that week.  I decided to make their card with a nautical theme.

I printed a verse on my computer to thank them.

I love how large this background stamp is! I had to trim it down for this 5 x 7 card.

I Brake for More Birds!

A happy hello from designer, Heidi!  Hope you are doing well and have had some time for stamping recently!  This week, I have another lovely bird stamp to showcase for you from Sheet 141A - Birds.  The stamp is so detailed, it was easy to color.

I used a coordinating patterned paper to stamp the sentiment on.  I think this is a cute saying to send to a good friend who really gets you.

You can find this stamp set at the I Brake for Stamps store!  Have a great day!

I Brake for Happy Birthdays!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made using a set that I just received
and what a fun set it is!!

I don't have anyone in mind for this card yet but I always like to have a few birthday cards lying around just in case.

On the inside I used the music notes from the set and a verse from an old, retired set that I've had for years.

I Brake for Birds...

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  This is a fun post because I really do brake for birds.  I am a bit of a birder (aka birdwatcher) so I naturally am drawn to wonderful bird stamps like this.

I colored my birds with alcohol markers to resemble an American Robin.  These birds strike me as being fledglings about to leave the nest for good.

I was listening to a birding podcast the other day and they said that there are really only a few weeks of summer for birds.  The entire breeding season is their Spring and then migration starts in late July for some birds, so they don’t get much rest!

I stamped the branch ink light beige ink onto vanilla cardstock for the background.  After die cutting, I added the sentiment tag on with a brad and popped the center panel up on fun foam.

Thank you for your visit to the I Brake for Stamps blog.  Come back often for more inspiration from the team.
