I Brake for Autumn

Hello everyone, Cheryl here today with a sweet Autumn card made for I Brake For Stamps using the Beautiful Fall Half Sheet of stamps. I love the little pumpkins and the sentiment from this collection.

Pumpkins were stamped in Black Soot distressed ink, and colored with stampinup markers. Next I fussy cut 2 out, to place on my dp sheet. I also stamped the sentiment in the same ink, and stamped directly on my design paper layer. I used the Mini Misti to stamp, love using this tool!

My card today was a simple one. 2 laers, bow, and popped up the pumpkins. :)

I Brake for Lotus Blossom!

Here's my card with Lotus Blossom, one of the wonderful stamps in the Reflections - Fantasy Collection (Carmen Medlin) at I Brake for Stamps.

Lotus Blossom was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts) and colored with Copic markers to match patterned paper from the Kioshi Collection (Basic Grey). All the patterned paper was edged with Black Soot Distress ink (Ranger)

Shimmery black cardstock was die-cut with a chain die and an ornamental corner die.

I intentionally left off a sentiment since I don't know who will receive this card for which occasion.

The card was assembled and I called it done!

I Brake for Stamps has a huge and varied collection of rubber stamps that you ought to check out right now. Click on my badge below to be whisked over to I Brake for Stamps to check out all of the goodies!

I Brake For Bones

{jane bosi}  Happy Monday, Brakers!!  I've been absent, for a bit, but I'm back and sharing this super cute image from Carmen Medlin Designs.  His name is Mr. Bones....and I just love him!

One of my favorite movies is the Book of Life--the Mr. and Mrs. Bones images just make me want to watch it all over again!  If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it--it is a kiddie/animated movie, but I really think it's ageless.

Such a fun image requires a fun card so, I made mine a pop up:

This pop up might look complicated, but it's actually pretty simple.  You should give it a go :)

I Brake for Cows!!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that may be for a friend who's feeling a bit down but the card is still quite fun.

Awww....how fitting is this...the stamp name is Cute Cow.  The verse is called Herd You Were Down.   I do live in the country but have never been a farm girl.  There's just something about a cow though!

I work with a woman who just broke her ankle.
I'm thinking this may end up in her mailbox.

The clouds are called...LARGE THUNDER CLOUDS.

On the inside I use a verse from EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I Brake for Polar Pals & Post Cards

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to all! Today's Post Card or Present tag was designed for I Brake for Stamps using the super cute Polar Pals stamp. I LOVE this sweet stamp, and coloring it was super fun and easy!

I stamped my Polar Pals stamp in black soot ink on this post card that was cut out of a design paper sheet. I colored up the little ones top and hat with 2 different red copics R37 & 39. The bow on the Polar Bear was done in copics G05 & YG03. Pants were done using a Brown E57, and then boots in 100 black.

I stamped I Brake for Stamps "Merry Christmas" in Black soot too! Lastly I added some stickles to the heart, and then the wings and hat on the Polar Pals image.

Ribbon is shimmer satin, and then I added a little silver glitter stardust rhinestone.
How super fun & Easy this was to create. Without the bow, it could be sent in the mail. However I think its perfect for a large gift for Christmas
Thank you for looking!!
hugs

I Brake for Gnome Gnotes

It's always good to have some Thank You cards on hand, so I decided to make a Thank You Gnote featuring the largest Gnome from the Gnome Sheet (I Brake for Stamps). This fabulous large gnome is one of NINE (9) gnomes and a mess of mushrooms on that sheet. It's a Gnoteworthy bargain indeed.

The Large Gnome was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts), fussy-cut, colored with Copic markers, and edged with a black marker. He was set aside while I pulled together a nice background for him.

I vaguely remembered that I had some very leaf patterned paper that would work well with the way I colored the Large Gnome! Better yet, I even found it buried deep in a file of 12x12 patterned papers. I should mention that one can amass quite the patterned paper collection after 16+ years of paper crafting, especially if one had to buy multiples of certain patterns because one was afraid she might run out. It's a sickness, kinda like referring to oneself in the third person.

Anyway, I found the leaf patterned paper and a nice plaid that coordinated with it. They were cut to size and the brown-based patterned papers were edged with Gathered Twig Distress ink (Ranger) and the plaid was edged with Evergreen Bough Distress ink

Brown cardstock was die-cut with the Just a Note die and the Small Alphabet Font dies.

The patterned paper was layered, the sentiment was added, and the Large Gnome was adhered. The card front was then adhered to a brown A2 card.

I Brake for Victorian Santa's

Hello everyone, and Happy Wednesday to all!
Today's card was designed for I Brake for stamps using the beautiful Victorian Santa. I LOVE this Santa as he is absolutely Beautiful!!!

My Victorian Santa Stamped image is from I Brake For Stamps and is colored using copic markers Y28,C1, R00,E57,E93,B18,R85,RV34,RV11,RV21,R39,R37,YG67,E15,E37,E31,B41. I also used stickles in Crystal ice, and cotton candy. Lastly I embellished the corners with green gems. Stitching was done with red thread.
For my card today I chose to use Graphic45 Old Christmas Past design paper, I also used  some random green card stock that is from AC and is from the color assortment packs.. The Red card stock is from SU!  as is called Riding hood red

I created my bow doing 4 loops on each side, then hot glued the loops together and created this cluster with flowers and leaves. Love the way it looks together.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I absolutely love decorating up the inside & outside of my home.
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
hugs to all,
Cheryl

I Brake for Halloween Fairies!

It was actually cool this morning and I've noticed that the leaves are beginning to change color. This means that 'tis the season to get spooky, wicked, and celebrate haunted things.

Rock Star Eyes Alex was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts), colored with Copic markers, fussy-cut, then edged with a black pen. She was set aside while I created a background for her.

I found a piece of patterned paper that featured a spooky forest scene in mostly greyscale, cut it to size, then sponged Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke, and Black Soot Distress inks (Ranger) around the edges. Picket Fence Distress ink was sponged over a skull patterned stencil. Victorian Velvet Distress ink was sponged over a flourish stencil and the words "spooky", "wicked", and "haunted".  Black Soot Distress ink was sponged over a bat-patterned stencilThe piece was edged again with Black Soot Distress ink and road-patterned washi tape was added.

The colored and fussy-cut Rock Star Eyes Alex image was adhered to the stenciled inked patterned paper panel, matted on a piece of matching patterned paper, then adhered to a black A2 card. A "'tis the season" sticker, from the Seasonal Chitchat sticker collection.

I Brake for Stamps has a wonderful selection of Carmen Medlin Designs stamps  and a plethora of other great rubber stamps. You should check 'em all out. Tell them I sent you! Click on my badge below to be whisked over to I Brake for Stamps to check out all of the goodies!

Today I'm sharing a new image from I Brake For Stamps.  This little cutie is called LOVE ME SET from the CARMEN MEDLIN line.

I thought this verse was so sweet and funny when I read it.

She's from the CURIOSITIES SET THREE sheet or she can be purchased individually.
