I Brake for Flamingos ...

Hello IBFS friends !!
It's Crystal and today I am making a fun card using a digital stamps called Flamingo

isn't he just so stinkin cute , I really love flamingos they come in so many color variations but I love them all . The awesome things about digital stamps is you get them pretty quickly and you can size them to what ever size you need for your card , today I printed 4 to a page on copic quality cardstock and sized him to 70 percent. He is colored with copic markers and I water colored the water , I made glitter splatters ( how to, below ) all over after he was colored I added stickles diamond to water rings and to the tips of his feathers.

the beYOUtiful die is a KasierCraft die , I used a pink mirror board cardstock , I also added a few enamel dots and stapled on some flags

for the inside of my card I used my Silhouette and a gel pen and designed a sentiment I felt was perfect for my card. I added more glitter splatters in pink inside and I added pink gel pen to the word flamingo ..

copic colors : legs R05 , RV23
body :RV29 , RV23  to get a medium color use tip to tip on these two, 0 colorless blender

Glitter Splatters , mix any glue and water 50/50 dip a paint brush in the glue water and splatter on card , knock brush on finger to create splatters then while wet sprinkle glitter to the splatters and knock off excess , let dry and then dust off excess glitter again .

I hope this card has inspired you to try digital stamps or a new to you technique ,

I Brake for Cupcakes

Hello everyone, and Happy Wednesday to all!
Ok I have to say I absolutely fell in LOVE with this Steampunk Cupcake stamp when I 1st saw it, as I LOVE cupcakes, and of course this one is absolutely way too cute!!! Its from the I Brake for Stamps Zen Beauties Collection found here
I stamped the cupcake in black memento ink and then colored it with copics. Next I decided to cut it out with an oval shape. I love adding glitz to my cupcakes, so I added some stickles in blue and clear . I had a lot of fun coloring this one up. Might have to color another soon, as I haven't had a lot of time to stamp lately, but hoping to by this weekend, as I miss being in my craft room 24/7.....heheheheh

This card measures 4 1/2" x  1/2"
To embellish my card I used delicate stitched ribbon, OLD button, and some dew drops.
I hope you enjoyed my post for today!

I Brake for Cockatoos!

I'm totally fascinated by Cockatoos and Parrots. They're such smart birds that can talk, sing, and dance. Watching them on YouTube is endlessly entertaining and makes me wonder why the term "birdbrain" is synonomous with a person of low intellect.

Anyway, when I saw that I Brake for Stamps has a Cockatoo ATC, I had to have it. Here's my first ATC with it. If you'd like it, let me know and I'll have it winging your way soon!

The Cockatoo ATC was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts) and colored with Copic markers. It was matted with black cardstock, a scrap of green patterned paper from the Tropical Travelogue 8x8 pad (G45), then onto black cardstock again. I like how the black makes the bright colors of the Cockatoo ATC pop!

I Brake for Stamps has a huge and varied collection of rubber stamps that you ought to check out right now. Click on my badge below to be whisked over to I Brake for Stamps to check out all of the goodies!

Today I'm sharing one of the sweet new images over at I Brake For Stamps.
This one is from Carmen Medlin and it's from the Bravehearts collection.
She's called Be Fearless Set.

You can find these as individual stamps or on a sheet with all 4 girls.
I fell in love the second I saw them since I have three nieces ages 8-11.  I know they're going to get lots of use!

I popped up her head, shirt and sneakers on foam to give her a 3-D look.

I Brake for Seascapes

I'm finally beginning to slowly get back into the swing of things. As I've related, my mother passed away in the beginning of June. On June 13th, we received word that my brother, who lived in Thailand, had undergone a series of cardiac arrests. They were able to resuscitate him, but there was extensive brain damage, and he died on June 24th.

The beach (in off season) and the ocean have always soothed my soul, so here's a card using Stampinback's There's Always Time for Friendship rubber stamp sheet and the Quarter Dahlia rubber stamp sheet that are both available at I Brake for Stamps.

The dinghy from the There's Always Time for Friendship rubber stamp sheet was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (Imagine Crafts) and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment from the Quarter Dahlia rubber stamp sheet was stamped in the sky area of the scene.

140 lb. Mixed Media cardstock (Strathmore) was die-cut with a Nestabilities die and colored with Copic markers. Clear Media Crackle Glaze (DecoArt) was brushed over the colored die-cut and left to dry. Once dry, Titanium White Antiquing Glaze (DecoArt) was brushed over of the Crackle Glaze, allowed to settle into the cracks and dry. When dry, the Antiquing Glaze was wiped with a damp cloth. The die-cut frame was then brushed with two layers of Media Ultra-Matte Varnish (DecoArt) to seal the piece.

The frame was adhered over the beach scene and the framed beach scene was adhered to a card.

I Brake for Stamps has a great selection of Stampinback stamps as well as a huge and varied collection of rubber stamps that you ought to check out right now. Click on my badge below to be whisked over to I Brake for Stamps to check out all of the goodies!

I Brake for Shopping ..

Hello IBFS fans !!
It's Crystal and I'm back with a fun card that could be for a birthday or a just because card, I am using the Shopping Sadie image from the humorous seniors line, I truly love making cards with these ,they are so much fun. My image was colored with colored pencils and baby oil , this is my favorite way to color when I travel , truth be know this image was colored while I was on a train to Chicago a couple of weeks ago, I love to color while being a passenger in any moving mode of transportation that I am not driving , it hard for me to sit and do nothing so I color ...

I used the new NuVo crystal drops in liquid mercury , love life die is a KaiserCraft die , look close and the word paper says " A Few of My Favorite Things " 6x6 paper from MME , Bazzill cardstock in Robins Egg and Candy Hearts ( two of my Fav colors )

colored pencil are easy to pack up and I keep baby oil on a sponge in a sealed container and don't forget the pencil sharpener.  Below is a look at my set up
ps .. the baby bear in blue on my board will be coming soon on a card here , keep a look out for it ...

I Brake For Funky Freddy!

{jane bosi}  Happy Monday, Brakers!!   Today, I'm sharing a fun froggy water color card.  I love the whole Freddy the Frog line over in the I Brake For Stamps store--they are just so cute and laughable!  Be sure to check out the Freddy Sheet and Freddy Digital images too!
This particular image just makes me think of a friend of mine and that is reason enough to smile!  I do like hanging out with her....the singing is always a bonus ;)

The card, itself, is simple enough.  I simply stamped the image and water colored sky and ground around it.  I also water colored Freddy -- with a smaller brush than the "wash" style surrounding the image.  After the main coloring was done, I added some splatters and inked the edges.  I like the focus being on the stamped image.  It's like a card sized coloring book page that I can give away....maybe it will make it onto someone's fridge!

Go Be Awesome!  Jane

I Brake for Zen Beauties

Hello everyone,
Cheryl here today , Hope you all are enjoying the weather, and your week! Today I am sharing my card created using the Beautiful Zen Beauties Collection from I Brake For Stamps. I LOVE all the stamps that come in this collection here. I will post a photo of them, and a link , so you all can see :)

For my card I chose to use Zen Beauty Hope on my card. I stamped her first in Memento black ink, then colored her with copics. I used some stickles for her wings, and on the mushroom. I LOVE this image, she is absolutely beautiful!!! Cant wait to share the others from this collection!!

Next once dried I cut out using a oval die cut, and placed it on the fancy die cut piece. I airbrushed around the oval using pink copic marker.

The design paper is an oldie, I figured I better pull out some old design paper and use it up too. I added some ribbon for the bow, and some cute little dew drops for the corners.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
