Today I'm sharing a gift box that I made featuring a verse from an I Brake For Stamps set.  The set's called Pinecone Heart Collage Quarter Sheet.

I thought this would be a great little box for a cupcake, muffin, cookies or any little treat or toy.

When you untie the ribbon the box opens from the top.

I Brake For Traditional Thanksgiving Cards

Hi everybody, Regina here with a traditional Thanksgiving card.

Thanksgiving will be here in the blink of an eye.  I wanted to make a traditional card for someone for Thanksgiving.  I was going to color the feathers different colors and make it look really fun and colorful.  I decided to look up pictures of what a real turkey looks like because I really didn't know.  I was very surprised by what I saw.  I even sent a picture of my card to someone that used to raise turkeys and she said this was spot on.  I didn't know they have a bluish face/head and iridescent feathers.

This stamp comes from I Brake For Stamps.  It's called Thanksgiving Greetings.

I used several layers to make it look like a picture, colored with Copics, sponged at the top, added some Perfect Pearls on the feather to give it an iredescent look, and finished it off with some hemp cord and a button.  Easy peasy except wow, did I use a lot of Copics!!!

Supplies:

  • Recollections 110# White Card Stock (for base)  ** I LOVE this for card bases!
  • Gina K Designs Chocolate Brown and Tomato Soup Card Stock
  • Authentique patterned paper, 6x6 Bundle Collection called Thankful
  •  Memento Rich Cocoa Ink
  • Tim Holtz Antique Linen (to sponge)
  • Ranger Perfect Pearl and Perfect Medium
  • Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
  • Copic Markers
  • Virginia Turtle glitter enamel dots
  • Hemptique Hemp Cord
  • Gina K Designs button, chocolate brown
  • Tombo Mono Adhesive Dot Runner

If you are thankful and feel blessed, why not make a card during this holiday season time and tell someone what they mean to you and your life.

I hope I inspired you to make some Thanksgiving cards.  It's really relaxing to color this stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I Brake For Angels!

I have a thing for angel images. When I saw From Heaven Angel Large (Stampingback)
at I Brake For Stamps, I just had to get her.  Her tattered wings and her crestfallen expression tugged at my heart strings.

From Heaven Angel was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto 140 lb. Mixed Media cardstock because I brought my colored pencils with me on holiday, mistakenly thinking that I'd get some time to color. Nope. Anyway, I colored her with Copic markers, then grabbed my Skullduggery stencil (Andy Skinner/Tando) and traced it with a Black Multi-liner pen (Copic). The skull was colored with Copic markers. A few cracks were added with the Multi-liner, because I like my skulls (not my personal skull or those of anyone I know) cracked.

The image panel was die-cut with one of the dies from the Card Creator Nestabilities die set (Spellbinders). Black cardstock was die-cut with the next largest die from that set.

Yellow chalk pencil (Derwent) was used to outline the image. Shimmery yellow and blue palette chalk (Pebbles) was used to add the background. When that was done, the image panel was edged with Black Soot Distress ink (Ranger) and matted with the black die-cut.

Grey cardstock was debossed with the Clocks Embossing Plate (Cherry Lynn Designs) then sponged with Black Soot Distress ink.

You really ought to go check out  From Heaven Angel Large, the other Stampingback stamps, and all the great stamps at I Brake For Stamps. Click on my badge below to be whisked over there to check out their fabulous images!

I Brake For Gnomes....

{jane bosi}

Be Happy.  Enjoy Life.  Plus an adorable Gnome......must I say more?  It's fall so I had to break out the Gnomes at least once.  They are an older sheet, but I love them so much...I look forward to seeing them every year!

I had some masking fluid I wanted to try out so, this truly started as just an experiment.  After stamping this cute little gnome on watercolor paper, I covered him with masking fluid--mostly because I wanted to try the fluid--it was a little much.  I think the fluid is better for smaller areas you want to keep "clean."  But, alas, I had to move forward.  So, I inked up an acrylic block with various distress colors, spritzed with water and then stamped over the image.    The background was so colorful and lovely, I was tempted to leave the gnome black and white.  I caved in and colored it any way.  It's how I roll.....LOL!

Have a great day!  TTFN, Jane

I Brake For Treadmill Freddie

Hi Everybody!  Regina here and I have a fun card to show you today.  I used a super cute digi from I Brake For Stamps called Treadmill Freddie.  You may remember a card I made a while back with Freddie on Harley.  There are several Freddie digital stamps.  Check them out!  I know most of you have a Scan n Cut by now so digis are no longer an issue with the fussy cutting.

I wanted to make someone a motivational card because they have been on a diet and have lost about 10 pounds so far so I wanted to congratulate them with this cute card.

Here's the digi, Treadmill Freddie

How cute is this!!!  I even cut the outside part with Scan n Cut!  I haven't played with it enough to figure out how to cut the inside parts so I just used an X-Acto knife for those 3 parts but it was really easy and I went around the edges with a black pen (love this pen!).

I used a Tim Holtz stencil to make the water/paint splotches to add some interest and a little color.  I colored him with Copics of course.  I used a Die-Versions die at the top of the card.  I love how you can use these style dies and it keeps the sentiment out of the way but is still a large size.  I added some enamel dots, twine, googly eyes and glossy accents on the screen of the treadmill.

Supplies:
  • Recollections 110# white card stock for base
  • Gina K Designs Blue Denim, Red Hot and Turquoise Sea
  • Die-Versions Express Edges Die called, "You Did It"
  • Tim Holtz Layers Stencil called Splatters
  • Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
  • American Crafts Red Twine
  • My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots
  • Adhesive Googly Eyes
  • Glossy Accents
  • Pop Dots
  • Tombo Mono Adhesive
  • Micro Glue Dots
  • Copics:  Treadmill C3, C5, C7, C9 and Freddie YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67
  • Scan n Cut
  • Tim Holtz Scissors
  • Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen Black 199 (love this pen, more than a Copic Multiliner)

Check out the Freddie digital stamp collection.  There is also a super cute Freddie Thanksgiving digi called, Freddie Pilgrim.

I Brake For White Washed Flowers

Hi everybody!  Regina here with an easy card using this really fun stamp set.  It is called Ballerina, Flowers and Numbers from I Brake For Stamps.  Here's what it looks like:

This set has so any possibilities!  I am envisioning mixed media projects for the future but today I used the White Wash Technique. I used the stamp with the flowers, script and dots, the butterfly and the love infinity stamp.  I love how it turned out!

I used these supplies and that is what it looks like white washed. Then I watercolored with the Fired Brick ink.

I embossed the flowers with white embossing powder, took a water brush and used white pigment ink to water color the flowers to give them the 'white wash' look.  Let this dry or heat dry.  Then I just used some Fired Brick distress ink with water to give the flowers a soft color.  I had originally embossed the script white too but I decided I wanted the script part black so I masked off the flowers, stamped in black and fussy cut the flowers out that I had embossed white and used pop dots to give it some height next to the script.  I embossed the small butterfly with black ink and clear embossing powder and used a little of the Fired Brick distress ink to coordinate with the flowers and used pop dots with it also.  I stamped the love infinity symbol stamp at the bottom and used some black glitter enamel dots on each side.  I used a distress tool to distress the edges of the black and kraft card stock.  Finally, I used clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly.

I'll be using this set more in the future to show you different ways to use it.

Supplies:

  • I Brake For Stamps stamp set called Ballerina, Flowers and Numbers
  • Recollections 110# White Card Stock for base
  • Gina K Designs Black Onyx and Kraft Card Stock
  • Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink
  • Close To My Heart White Daisy Pigment Ink
  • Versamark Ink
  • Versafine Onyx Black
  • Recollections white embossing powder in Snow
  • Stampendous Clear Detail Fine Embossing Powder
  • Water Brush
  • Tim Holtz Distress Tool
  • Pop Dots
  • Tombo Dot Runner Mono Adhesive
  • Virginia Turtle Black Glitter Enamel Dots
  • Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen
  • MISTI

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
