Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that my friend requested for her mom.
She just asked for something pretty and I instantly thought of the I Brake For Stamps SINGLE POPPY.

I used Copic markers to color it and an Anna Griffin embossing folder called...what else...Poppy.

I Brake For Bister

Della here with a couple of cards I made using Bister Powder.  Love this stuff! All you need is a tiny amount of power and a spray bottle of water.  I made the background with the Bister powder, dried it with my heat gun, and then stamped with Stazon black.  The cat sheet can be found here and the sentiment can be found here.  All stamps are from the Stampinback line.

Thanks for Stopping by!  Have a great weekend.

I Brake For Giraffe's

Hello peeps, Beth here again this week with a very simple easy card..... my card this week uses the giraffe stamp off of the Half Sheet 138B and a Darice Tree embossing folder.

First I embossed my tree than I stamped my giraffe image with Rangers Wild Honey ink next I inked the embossed tree with more distress inks added some twine and added a little sticker to it.

Well that does it for me this week hope you have enjoyed this CAS card.

I Brake For Unicorns

{Jane Bosi}  Happy Monday, Brakers!!  I'm hoping today is as magical as my colorful Unicorn card!  Isn't this just the BEST image?  There is a large and small version of this image---mine is the large one!

I always am a bit uncertain with such a straight forward card.....must be those years of layers, gadgets, fancy cuts, embellishments and more!  Simply stamped with Memento black ink, colored with copics and a layer of Stickles glitter glue....what would a unicorn be without glittery rainbow hair?  Just a horse with a horn, I'm afraid!  Speaking of horns, I added a layer or two of crystal effects to the horn to give it some dimension.

Finally, I added THE PERFECT sentiment from the Fashionista Half Sheet.  Go ahead.....Shine, be you!
Don't forget to be awesome!

I Brake for Owl's and Kisses

Good morning peeps, Beth here this week with a mixed media canvas.....I have been trying new things and have used quite a few stamps from the store.

As you can probably tell I had so much fun working on this canvas the hardest part was waiting for the different media to dry.

Started off with a blank canvas that I stenciled the word Dream, Brick Wall and the Zig Zag down the side.......after that dried I spread Gesso over the entire canvas......next came the fun used Gelato's worked them in with my fingers then added different stamped elements along with some Distress Inks.

I used the following stamps on this piece Large With This Kiss that was colored with Copics, Large Owl, Large Script Background,  dots from Half Sheet 122A , and the circles from Remember When....I just realized my owl is upside down I tried stamping him on the canvas didn't turn out well so I stamped on paper and glued it to the canvas......printed Soar in the circles under the Owl, also added the flowers, buttons, and gems.

Hope you have enjoyed my post today as much as I did making it.....see you next week.
Hugs
Beth

I Brake For Silhouettes....and Bister

{jane bosi}  Happy Monday, Brakers!!  I hope all you mommies and mommy-types had a great day yesterday!

Today, I have a bister background to share--with a beautiful silhouette image!  I created this background by layering multiple dippings of bister.  I continue to experiment with maintaining the color saturation I am wanting.  This little "dip" method works great for a marbled look.

I began by sprinkling some bisters on my non-stick craft sheet and then generously sprtized with water.  After larger pools of wet bisters formed, I dipped my cardstock into the inks.  Dry.  Repeat. And, do it again!

To finish off this earthy looking card, I waited until the background was completely dry (over night).  Then, I embossed Fennel Silhouette Negative directly on to it.  A wide piece of burlap ribbon and some pearly accents finish things off.

Have a great day and, don't forget to be awesome!  TTFN, Jane

I Brake for Mother's Day!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Mother-in-Law's Mother's Day card with you.

I've used Floral Silhouette for the focal point on my card.
The verse is from Every Day Phrases

I used Happy Mother's Day on the inside of her card.
I think this script is so pretty.  No one writes in cursive anymore and it's such a pretty form of writing!

Love Silhouettes and Butterflies

Going morning peeps, Beth here with another card using a stencil and distress inks.....hope you like it, using stencil's does not always work for me.

Now for the details I started out with white card stock and a honeycomb stencil....moving the stencil around in different places on the card I added Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Weathered Wood distress inks....next I stamped the gazebo scene from I Love Silhouettes, the Butterflies and verse from the Botanical Sheet  layered onto a blue piece of card stock which was then added to a Kraft card.....also added a little bit of bling to dress it up some.

Well that will do it for me until next week.....hope you all have a wonderful crafty week.

Hugs
Beth

I Brake For Cute Elephants

{jane bosi}
When my oldest was a toddler, he was completely obsessed with elephants.  Completely.  Sixteen plus years later, I am still drawn to elephants.  It isn't hard to understand why I find this Cute Elephant so appealing!  It's an elephant that looks like Horton and is adorn with flowers and hearts....I think I am in love!

My background was created using a gelli plate, a variety of inks and a few stencils. After making several different prints, I cut them apart and blocked them for a patchwork-ish background.  It adds interest to an otherwise pretty simple creation. I colored Cute Elephant with copic markers and cut out using the Out of the Box technique.  My final step was to add the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new You Are The Beast sheet.

Have a great day!  And, don't forget to be awesome!

I Brake for Lakes!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Best day of the week isn't it?  Today I'm jumping the gun a little bit.  My husband's birthday is in August and we always return to the lake he grew up on to rent a cottage for his birthday week.  When I saw these recent releases at I Brake For Stamps I jumped all over them!!  Then, when my husband went to China for 2 weeks on business I had some free (private) time to craft and so I took advantage of that and made his card now.

I used two new releases called CANOE SCENE and PADDLE FRAME.

On the inside I used the birthday verse from BOTANICAL.
I just know he's going to love this card.  Now I just have to keep it hidden for the next few months...and remember where I put it when it's time to pack for the trip.
