I Brake For Mopeds!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I have a really fun birthday card to share with you.  My card features one of the Humorous Seniors from I Brake For Stamps.  She's called Moped Millie.

I haven't done a monochromatic card in a while and just got a new blue 6 x 6 pad I was excited to use.  I think blue suits her well.

On the inside I used Over The Hill and a
birthday verse from Every Day Phrases.

Here's a close up of her.  I dig her animal print pants!

I Brake for John's Big Catch

Hello I Brake for Stamps Fans !!!

It's Crystal here with a fun CAS masculine card, I use to think these were so hard to do, but anymore I find them not so intimidating. For this card I kept it very fun , I used a 110 lb card stock base ,this is the key to a great card you need it to feel substantial even if it's a simple card. Next I lay down a base of colorful yet masculine printed washi tape. I am using  John's Big Catch from the I Brake for Stamps store  for my stamped image and I copic colored him and fussy cut him out and go around the edges with a black marker so not the have with edges show . my Camera and sentiment are from the Silhouette store ( called Camera ) and  cut about 3" . and my enamel dots are hand-made by me and were in my stash . my favorite way to make these are the punch different sized circles from colored card stock ,use a stylus to shape into a dome , add to the top of a glue dot while still on the sticker paper and add a layer of glossy accents let dry and not you have dots to mach your project from scraps of matching card stock .

I Brake For Funky Dolls

{Jane Bosi}  Happy Monday!

Today, I have a piece of mixed media art to share!  I created this 8 x 10 canvas using a variety of paint, stencils, gelatos and stamps!  My main image--the funky art doll, can be found in the IBFS store.  The sheet is called Alicia's Funky Dolls and it is tons of fun!!!

To create my "doll", I started with a piece of designer paper that I covered with gesso.  After stamping the doll pieces, I trimmed each and added some detail.  Using some super tiny brads, I put the doll together.  I wanted to keep it dimensional and kinetic--even after securing it to the canvas.

The canvas was decorated with a variety of supplies.  The black scrolly flourish is a stenciled image.  More paint, PITT penns, gelatos and some beautiful Grunge Flowers complete the background.

Kind of outside my box...but, that's a good thing :)

I Brake For Valerie's Birthday!

Hello and happy Saturday!!
Welcome to my I Brake For Stamps post for the week.
It's been rainy here lately so I wanted to make something bright and cheery to offset the dull gray outside.

Today I'm sharing a gift bag that I made for a co-worker.  We go back to school VERY soon. (insert big heaving sobs here) and her birthday is Sept. 25.  It's very crazy at the beginning of school so I thought I'd get ahead of the game and make this now.

I used my new We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag punch board to make this.  If you come back tomorrow you can see another bag that I made.  Tomorrow's is a little smaller than this one.  You can choose from 3 different widths of bags, small, medium and large as well as making it any height up to a 12" piece of paper.  This bag is about 8" tall.

Isn't this verse so funny and SO true?!
My little flower is from Wild Orchid.  It's a Champagne Pink Cosmo Daisy 10 pk.

I Brake For Summer?

{jane bosi}

Happy Monday!  It seems as though summer might be winding down......school is starting, the temperatures are starting to turn....It's a good time to remind you to take time and enjoy life!  It's also a good reason to pull out an enchanting image from this beach themed stamp sheet, one last time!

To create my image panel, I partially cut the oval shaped window with a nestabilitie die and trimmed the remaining image with scissors.  I colored the background with Distress Markers and then, misted the panel.  When it was completely dry, I finished coloring the image wiht Copic markers.

Just makes me want to grab a book and read on the beach.....

I Brake For Ghosts!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today, for the second week in a row I'm sharing a holiday card.  Last week however was a Christmas card.
This time it's Halloween!

I love this little ghost.  I think he was one of the very first stamps I ever owned from I Brake For Stamps.  His name is very easy to remember...GHOST.

I know you don't normally think of a ghost as being sweet but I think he is.

Wouldn't you smile if this little guy showed up at your door?
