I Brake For Lacey Springy Flowers....

{Jane Bosi}  Happy Sorta Springy Monday from Wisconsin!  Despite having warmish temperatures this weekend and some melt, we continue to sport a snow covered ground here in the dairy state!  But, it's all good when there are fabulous images like Kerr Jar to color and piece together!

I stamped the image twice and colored all with copic markers.  I pieced some of the image with popped up adhesive to add extra interest and dimension.  It was both fun and cathartic to do all that coloring and trimming!  The image piece was trimmed using the Out of the Box technique from the TJ Newsletter.

The background was created using a variety of distress inks and the Lace Borders half sheet.  I just love the way it turned out!

I Brake For Beautiful Sentiments!

Hello and happy Saturday!
Renee here and I've got a beautiful verse to share with you today.
The verse is called HELEN KELLER.

I used some of the Wild Orchid flowers from IBFS store.

You can see how pretty the flowers are and also the dimension created by popping up the the framed exterior of the card.

I used 2 stamps from the half-sheet BOTANICAL set on the inside.

Home Sweet Tent by Crystal

Hello I Brake for Stamps fans !!
It's Crystal here and today I have a how to for you .I just love the look of the Chalk Board technique but have never tried it , I did a little looking around on it and this is what I came up with for my take on this technique ..

First I cut my black card stock layer 4 ' by 5 1/4" , most people say use smooth card stock but when I made my first test card I only had textured and it worked fine too , but I was out shopping and got some smooth from Hobby Lobby on sale I bought the heavy weight . I then use a ruler and my white gel pen and made a border around it
week 3-24-2014 posts 002 - Copy
next I use my embossing buddy to take static away and stamp my Camping Floyd and Mary , (you can buy this by a single stamp or on a half sheet , I will link up below both ways) I use VersaMark to ink my image
week 3-24-2014 posts 003 - Copy
next I use white embossing powder to heat emboss my image
week 3-24-2014 posts 004
I heat set my image
week 3-24-2014 posts 005
next I sponge chalk ink in white around the edges and across the top over the image to give that chalkboard chalky powder look , now you can leave your image like this or you can step it up to the next level
week 3-24-2014 posts 006 - Copy
by coloring it with colored pencils I used prisma no shading just plain coloring , I added this layer to a white card base
week 3-24-2014 posts 008
this one is the textured card stock layer
week 3-24-2014 posts 055
this is the smooth card stock , can you see they are both great but I do like the smooth better after having them side by side  , but they do both work , just use what you have and it will be great ..
week 3-24-2014 posts 056

I added stickles to fire and to soda cans
week 3-24-2014 posts 057
inside I stamped my image again in a light grey so you can write over the top , I left it without sentiment , I am thinking this would be a great hello card while on vacation , we have a state campground near by and this card would be perfect for them to send home .
week 3-24-2014 posts 059
thanks for stopping by and I hope you get to try this technique and have fun with it .Stay crafty my friends : )

Used some purple lace that I have had.

The sentiment I used is called Little Girl and thought it went really well with the image and I Brake For Stamps has all kinds of wonderful sentiments.

The punch for the leaves is Martha Steward leafy branch. My flowers are from some trim I had purchase a long time ago. So I cut some of the flowers off and added them to the leaves.

I Brake For.......Monday?

{Jane Bosi}  Happy Day!!  I wasn't sure what to call my colorful project, but I do BRAKE every Monday so, why not?

I made this colorful image piece using a technique called Foam Stamping and multiple images from the IBFS store!  You'll find fennel silhouette, grunge backgrounds and half sheet 138b all in the store!

The image piece is simply matted and mounted on a piece of kraft cardstock--it's clean and simple--why not give it a whirl?
