I Brake for Always With Love!

Happy Wednesday, Kristen here to share a little "LOVE".....  In case you have noticed, I am a designer paper addict and I am the "QUEEN" of 6x6 paper pads.  So, I have been working really hard trying use up those papers that are left in the pads, which isn't easy for me, as they are left in the pad for a reason.  The reason being, I didn't love them.  So, the paper I used on this card wasn't my favorite, but it works!  It works, because of this adorable image!  I used Always with Love from the Rick St. Dennis line at I Brake For Stamps.  I intentionally left a saying off, as I would like to use this card in the future. I feel as though it would make a great engagement or anniversary card, so off to my stash it goes :)  Well, that is all I have for you today, I am off to use some more DP. Happy Creating!

Country Cutie Boy

Good morning everyone on this last Tuesday in July.  It's hard to believe that the summer is half over and that we will be heading into August in just a couple of days.  Around here all of our farms are in full bloom and it is almost sweat corn season, yum!  The image I used today, Country Cutie Boy, is a perfect fit for all of the farming that will have to take place over the next few weeks to get that yummy corn to the farm stands.  It's a little more CAS then I normally make, but I think this look worked just right with this image.

I hope you are all enjoying the summer!

I Brake for Swallowtail Butterflies!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm sharing another Birthday/Sympathy combo. It always happens that I get bombarded with requests at the same time. One person wants lots of birthday cards...the other one wants 5 sympathy cards. The easiest thing to do is to make duplicates that are almost the same.
This one was so simple, even with the cutting involved.
I used the I Brake For Stamps image Swallowtail.

Here's the birthday version using a portion of the verse Good Example.

Isn't this butterfly gorgeous?!
Coloring it has endless possibilities.  What's your favorite combination?

Rick St. Dennis - Flower Fairy

Hi everyone, how are you doing on this summer day in July?  Today I am going to share with you a project using the Rick St. Dennis image, Flower Fairy.  This image is a rubber image and a little different then the ones I normally use.  It seemed to have so many little parts to color I kept finding ones I missed as I went along.  It's like completing a 1,000 piece puzzle that you are over the world about finally putting together.  That's how I felt about this image but, I'll tell you, I was pleased with the results when I was finished.

Definitely outside of the box for me but a great image all the same.  Well worth the jigsaw moments of coloring!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I Brake For Zombies!

Happy Sunday!  Kristen here with my full zombie card completed for you!  I know these images aren't for everyone, but I completely love them.  I am one of those people that are able to back and forth between cute and  Ummm...not so cute.  I will admit that I really enjoy playing with the NOT so cute images a lot!  For my card today, I used Zombie Time from Rick St. Dennis.  I completely love this image, and the others in his Halloween collection. I would love to know whether you're a fan of these types of images, or not so much....Well, thanks for checking us out today. Hope you have a great Sunday!

I Brake For Hot Flashes!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a really funny card with you.  I Brake For Stamps has a very funny line of stamps called Humorous Seniors.  There are a bunch of equally entertaining verses to go along with them.  On my card I used Sunning Sadie.  She's enjoying a little shade under the palm tree while trying to get through another Hot Flash

The verse inside is from Half Sheet #052.

Country Angel

Good morning everyone!  Happy Tuesday to all of you!  Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the rubber stamped image, Country Angel.  I love country style angels.  My mother is a Tole painter, a really great Tole painter actually, and I've grown up seeing a variety of these cute angels since childhood.  So you can see why I have a soft spot for them.  Here's what I did with today's image.

Isn't she just adorable?  If you would like to find out a little more about how I made my card then just click on my name below and it will bring you to my blog.

I Brake For Pia!

Happy Saturday, Kristen here with another Rick St. Dennis image to share with you today!   When I saw this image, I knew I had to have it, as her name is Pia, and one of my best friends name is Pia.  So guess who this card is headed too....LOL...While this is a very simple card, I just love the image.  As you may have noticed, I am having myself a great time with all these images.  Today's card may be on the pretty side, where the next card I have to share with you is completely opposite....hehehe...I think my card making is like Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde....Well, I hope you have a great weekend

I Brake For Beautiful Flowers!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm sharing a pair of cards that I made.  They're very similar but one is for a birthday and one is a sympathy card.  I had two customers ask me for a birthday/sympathy card and since my time was limited when they asked I made "duplicates" and just changed them to suit the occasion.

The image I used is called Floral Silhouette Bouquet I Brake For Stamps has tons of gorgeous floral images.  Here is the sympathy card.  I stamped the image twice on printed paper.

Here is the inside of the sympathy card with the beautiful IBFS verse called With Sympathy.

Here is the very similar birthday card.

On the front I used the verse Sending Smiles and on the inside I used Best Wishes Birthday.

Praying Cammy

Have you seen one newer Cammy images, Praying Cammy?  It's so sweet and a must have if you are a fan of the Chelsea Le Designs images as I am.  Of course, the Cammy images are super adorable to begin with, but I truly think this one takes the cake.  Don't take my word on it, look below and see for yourself.

Adorable, right!  I love yellow and pink together, especially for little girl images.  If only my daughter were this little again, but alas, at 16 I don't think this card is for her!

Welcome to My Dark Side!

Happy Sunday All, Kristen here with a preview of my other side, my dark side...LOL.  If you have been following the blog, you may have noticed that I tend to be a cutesy stamper, and I usually am, but once in a while I like to head on over, to what I call my dark side. I very much enjoy playing with "creepy" images, and even making them more creepy then they already are...As you can see here, I used the Mad Hatter image and gave him blood Halloween images....ARGH...I need them all....
shot eyes...LOL..I love it!  I would have loved to add the saying "We are All a Little Mad here", but I didn't want to ruin the card!  The image is so amazing by itself!  I just think these Rick St. Dennis images are so much fun...and, have you seen the new
Well, that is all I have for you today. I just got back from vacation, and now I need to recover...LOL...Hope you all are staying cool, and have a great week! Happy Creating!

Handy Andy, Humorous Senior...reporting for duty!

Hello everyone!
Hope you all had a nice 4th of July!
Since the last card I made was more of a pretty one I felt like busting out something funny this week.  This Humorous Senior is called Handy Andy.
I Brake For Stamps is LOADED with funny images and verses.  Lots of masculine ones too which can be harder to find.

I used a cute ruler embossing folder and some "fix it" themed paper.  I also had these cool screw eyelets that were just perfect for this.  The mattes were done with Spellbinders dies.

This image has a funny verse with it that says Say No To Crack!  Unfortunately, that one's still on my wish list so for now the inside is blank.

Fashion Lady #4

Hi all, Happy Tuesday!  A rainy Tuesday here, I hope you are enjoying some better weather.  Rain means an excuse to stay inside and play in my craft room though, so I guess I can't complain too much.  A little cleaning to finish up and then it's time to play and create!

Today I am posting a card I made using the image, Fashion Lady #4.  If you are into vintage, you will like this line of stamps, they are really are a great set of images!  My card is more of a modern style, but I think the stamp still works.  I'll let you decide.
