I Brake For Collage Elements!

Hello all!

Marti here!  I have a mixed media art journal page to share with you today:

After creating my background using Luminarte Primary Elements I created my focal piece and wording piece with some awesome IBFS images!

I inked up one of the images from the Collage Elements #1 image sheet with Coffee Archival Ink (so it would be waterproof) and then misted it with the same Primary Elements shimmering mists I used on my background to give it some subtle color.  I edged it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I typed up and printed my wording.  Then I added some stamping in the background using the pocket watch and clock face from the same image sheet collection.   I also misted this piece with the shimmering mists - you can just catch a bit of the lime green sparkle in the bottom corner in this picture.  Working with the sheets of images is a really great way to do a project!  Which image sheet is YOUR favorite???

I Brake for Sledding

Hi everyone, Marlena here today and if you are a winter lover then I have a card for you.  I used the rubber stamp, Sledding Bear from Rick St. Dennis to make my winter themed card and flowers from my favorite flower company, Wild Orchid.  Both of which can be found at the I Brake For Stamps store.  My image is colored with copic markers  and I accented the card with various snowflake punches.

I used my markers to color snow underneath the bear.  I used the colors C5, C3, C1 to get this effect.
So glad you stopped by,

I Brake For Babys

I used the Large Rattle stamp from the I Brake For Stamps store.  I colored it with my copics and a technique that I am still practicing call "No Line" coloring.  It is really challenging and I love it.  I cut the Large Rattle out using my old favorite "Out of the Box" technique.

I used a technique called "Homemade Pearlized Embossing Powder".  It is so easy and perfect for creating just the right background for your project.

I matted the rattle and card on black cardstock.  I used my copic refills to color my flowers for an added accent.

I have been in "baby" card making mode lately as my friend is having a baby but doesn't know what it is yet so I am trying to get prepared.

I hope you have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

I Brake For Dessert!

Hello IBFS fans!!  Today I'm sharing a card with such a funny verse on it.  I needed to make my mother-in-law a birthday card and I thought she'd get a kick out of it.  The verse is called Live For the Day.

All of my dies are from Spellbinders.
I made the pin myself.

Love...

Hi Everyone, it's Robyn here.  It's ridiculously cold here in Michigan, but I have several cards to share with you that I hope will warm your heart.  I've been working on Valentine's Day cards, but these could also be for any lovey-dovey occasion and also a friendship card.  Hope you like seeing them. =)

I've used two stamp sheets:  2 stamps from the Fancy Elements and 3 different sentiments from the MS102 Full Plate.

Super fun with the banner elements and they came together really fast.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Hope you're keeping warm!

i brake for carnations

Hello friends!

Marti here with a card for you using one of the amazing detailed collage stamps again!

This time I have chosen the Vintage Carnation Label Collage stamp - breathtaking details!  I stamped the image in brown ink.

To spotlight a bit of the detail  I stamped it again using Pearlescent pink ink and then cut out a circle area where I wanted to highlight.  I inked the edges and then placed it over the first brown image.  Very effective don't you think?!

Mother and Child Femme

Hi everyone, Marlena here.  How's it going for you today?  I am working on staying warm now that my neck of the woods has finally got some of that miserable winter chill.  So, as I sit here bundled in all my warm and snugly clothes I am sharing with you a card using the image, Large Mother and Child Femme.  Of course having kids of my own I always love mother and child images, they tear at my heart strings every time.

When making the box design I was inspired by a similar shaped box I saw on Pinterest.  The blue background paper and gold borders are heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  A little different I know, but sometimes different is nice.
So glad that you stopped by,

I Brake For Friends and Scrapbooking

Here is a scrapbook layout I did of my best friends. Some are old pictures (see the 80's hair..bwahahahaa) and some new ones.

I used two rubber romance stamps as embellishments. I love being able to mix my stamping with my scrapbooking. I used the line pop technique on them from the technique junkies newsletter.

The first stamp is Three Friends and the second is called Girls Night Out.  It explains me and my ladies perfectly.  I love the simplicity of the stamps and the technique which I think just makes them pop (pun intented).

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.  To see more information on my layout stop by my blog.

Feeling a little Frosty????

Got Snow???
Hey there, Kristen Here....tonight I would like to share with you a touch of winter.  Being from New Hampshire, we have a VERY long winter.  Sometimes (not often though), we have snow on the grpund from the end of October (usually Nov) till mid March and sometimes April.  Honestly, I haven't seen my grass for months now.  Most off the time, by mid Feb, I have completely had it with the winter weather.  I long for spring flowers and green grass, and even more so, I look forward to opening my windows and letting the fresh air in, but here we are Jan 19th, and it is freezing around 23 degrees and we are drapped in our winter gear, so it only seems fitting that I create a Snowman card using the super cute Large Snowman post stamp.  I tried super hard to make it more winter colors than Christmas. Not totally sure that worked, but I love, love, love this stamp...wouldn't it be super cute as a hot choc wrapper...hmmmm...maybe going to have to give that a try.
Well, I hope you are warm, where ever you are.  Have a great weekend and happy stamping!

I Brake For Beautiful Wildflowers

Today I'm sharing a birthday card. I wanted to try a slightly different shape so I used on of my Spellbinders Grand dies. I've used three different stamps from I Brake For Stamps.

Inside I used the part I trimmed off the bottom to add some character.

I brake for paris

Hello everyone!

Marti here with a card for you. Have you checked out the large array of collage stamps at IBFS?  They are jaw dropping gorgeous and I have quite a few.  These images are put together in such an amazing way - little treasures for beautiful cards in minutes.  Here I have used one of my favorites - the large Paris Balloon Collage:

I stamped the image on cream cardstock using brown ink to keep with the vintage feel of the image.  I paired it up with more cream, brown and blue papers and gave it a bit of glitz with the blingy flower!

Which collage stamp is YOUR favorite?

Kisses Cammy

Hi everyone, Marlena here today.  How are you doing on this Tuesday in January?  Today I am posting a project using one of the new Cammy stamps, Kisses Cammy.  These are just the best stamps, don't you think.  So perfect for Valentine's Day, which is just around the corner.

For my project today I made a tri-fold card, so I am going to post several pictures so you can see the card from all the different angles.  Sometimes it's nice to create something a little different than my personal norm.

Above is what the front of the card looks like, can't even tell it's a tri-fold card.  Below is what the inside flap looks like.

Here's the inside, the left flap holds an additional tag I added to inside of the card.

The final view is the what the card looks like from the back.

Well, that's it for me this week, a tri-fold Kisses Cammy Card.  Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday and the rest of your week!
Glad to see you stopped by,

I Brake For Love!

I absolutely love the images from Chelsea Le at the store. This adorable stamp "kisses cammy" was so fun to play with. I love sitting images, they open a bunch of possibilities.

I placed her on the elegant hibiscus flowers that are available in the store. I colored the images with copics. The background is made with the ghostly spatters technique.

I also have to share my new obsession...quilling. I quilled the cute little mums in the corner.

I hope you have a wonderful day and stop by again soon!!
