Crab Surprise

I knew I had to have this image and create with it soon since there are so many images that are difficult to find when it comes to making a card for a man or boy. Here's one that would suffice for nearly all occasions.
The image is called Crab Surprise. For more details on the card please visit my blog.

A Tomboy....like me

I really like this image from I Brake for Stamps. It's a more realistic type of image of a tomboy little girl. That was always me as a kid. I wasn't big on frilly clothes, I didn't like pretty dolls; I wanted to play in the mud and see the bugs; I liked science and math. I remember my favorite toy as a little girl was a dump truck that my grandfather gave me. Girly girl things were just not for me. I guess that is why I grew up and eventually got into science, became an engineer and computer programmer; I like hobbies collecting fossils and watching basketball. That's just how I am.The wonderful saying on this card comes from the Stampinback section of the store (click here). Wishing all of you a wonderful week!

More from "Vintage Christmas"

I created this easy-to-mail Christmas card from the Vintage Christmas set from I Brake for Stamps.

Vintage Auto

I've been meaning to create with this image and finally had that chance. This image is called Vintage Auto. These cars are great to make for men since they are the hardest to create for.

Two For One

{Jane Bosi} It's Friday (my favorite day of the week) so I thought I'd share a few I Brake For Stamps cards today!

It's not too early to start thinking about those Christmas cards! I'm really loving this brand new sheet called Vintage Christmas. If you've visited the brand new website this week at all, you'll notice that not only is this sheet new, but it's on special right now!!!

The next card features a cute little gnomey guy from this sheet. I love this sheet---it's so seven dwarfy :) I have wondered, though, what type of sentiments would be best on a gnome card? What DO gnomes talk about??? Anyone?

If I were a gnome, I'd wish you a splendiferous day!

Floral Fairy

I just love this beautiful fairy image, she comes of the Einstein sheet. The cute saying comes from the "Come Fly with me" sheet of rubber stamps. I added a great embellishments of wonderful butterflies. IBFS just redid their whole website and have added several wonderful new lines of rubber stamps to their store (be sure to go by the store and check it out!!).

Wishing you guys a wonderful week!

Cheers, Holley

Rose Arbor Loveliness

This beautiful Rose Arbor stamp is from the Scenic and People sheet available HERE.

This is such a gorgeous stamp...

Do I Smell Candy?

{Jane Bosi} I admit it....I love the fall and all that comes with it!! Especially begging my neighbors for candy....5 kids = more candy that a person has a right to! LOL!

My card uses the Cuttlebug Smoosh technique from the TJNL, August 2008. It features the adorable little Ghost stamp and a sentiment from elsewhere......

Happy Fall Y'all!

Delicate Roses

I love flowers and just had to create a card using one of the most commonly loved flower, Roses. This beautiful stamp is called Delicate Roses. Red was the way to go for me, but I love that I can use this image over and over again with a variety of colors.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your weekend is going great!! Have a good one!

A Good Witch

This sample uses a couple of great stamps from I Brake for Stamp's Halloween Sheet. I love this beautiful witch image and the small saying "Good Witch." I colored her up with Copic Markers and made a border using a border punch on a 6" square card.

Hope this makes all of you feel like doing some Halloween cards!!

Cheers, Holley

Cherish...

This gorgeous image can be found on the Scenic & People plate available on the I Brake for Stamps site HERE. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored it in using my stamping ink pads and Aqua Painter. I really love this entire set. The images are all so sweet, and so much fun to color.

Scene Silhouettes Technique

This technique is from the August/Sept 2009 TJ Newsletter

Stamps are from both IBFS and Stampinback lines

Haunted House

It's that time again!   Since the weather has cooled down a bit, it's seems time for Halloween cards.   I've used this awesome Haunted House stamp from the Halloween section at I Brake For Stamps for this easel card.    Here's a closeup to show the "fussy cutting" that I love!

And a shot of the Haunted House poem . . .

Thanks for looking!

Lil' Man Luuk

Happy Tuesday! Jane Bosi, here, sharing a fun little card featuring Luuk from the Little Rascal's line. I love this little guy--he reminds me of my little man, who was off today for his first day of preschool (pictures on my blog).

My background technique is done using one of the 10 new techniques featured on the TJNL CD8. It's called Lacey Layers and is so very versatile--gotta love that.

I hope you're feeling inspired!! Go get inky :)

Pray Often

Are you sensing a theme? LOL!! Jane Bosi, here, again with another share using Inspiration Plate #3. As the mother of five unique (and sometimes challenging) kiddos--ranging from 2-12, I find myself in active prayer quite often through out each day!
I love this sweet little praying boy--nothing is better than a child worshipping the Master!
My background piece uses the Patchwork technique from the June 2010 edition of the TJNL. Fun technique and the perfect way to pull it all together!
Wishing you all a restful and safe holiday weekend!
TTFN, Jane

Here's one of the wonderful new stamps off the sheet that I Brake for Stamps just released for Halloween. I love these happy pumpkins. I am using a beautiful sheer mica paper as well. It's shimmery with an almost metallic shine in it. It's hard to see from the photo, but I also used the Happy Halloween stamp from the same sheet of stamps. It shows up wonderfully on the card, but the flash from the camera makes the shimmer from the card almost as bright as the white text.I hope this card makes you feel like making some great Halloween cards!
Cheers, Holley

Shine On.....

The minute I saw this Retro Rays embossing folder by Tim Holtz, I knew it would be the perfect compliment for IBFS's Silhouette Lamp. When I'm right, I'm right! Right? LOL!!
To complete the background piece, I've used the Cuttlebug Highlights technique as seen in the October 2008 edition of the Technique Junkie Newsletter---not a Junkie? Check it out!

It's raining cats and dogs in my little neck of the woods--today's card reminds me that it's still a gift......a soggy gift, but a gift just the same! Shine on!

Using the travel collage sheet.

Posh Update

It is with sadness that I Brake For Stamps will not be licensing the Posh line. Dee and Warren will be retiring indefinitely, so the Posh line will be put to rest. We will be moving forward with www.clubposh.com. We will make it our own. I do hope that current members will stay and be a part of this "new" adventure for I Brake For Stamps. If you have not joined, we welcome you! We have met a lot of great people. We have enjoyed it so much that we asked Warren if we could continue the club. He generously agreed, so it will be an I Brake For Stamps club. The name will change soon, maybe some different looks, different threads, etc., but the friendship and warm and fuzzy part will not change. We would like to thank Warren and Dee for all of their support. Steve and I wish them the best always.
