Prayer Changes Things

Happy Day Before School Starts!! LOL! Jane Bosi, here, sharing a card I just love! Rarely do I use purple, but I thought these stamps with purple would be perfect! Was I right?

Each of the three stamps I've used comes from Inspiration Plate #3--it's full of great images and sentiments! The praying hands image works wonderfully with the Level Up technique (TJNL, August 2010), but it is hard to see in a scan--just trust me, FABULOUS!

The kids are off to school tomorrow--I'm only really doing half of a happy dance! They are ready to go back, but we've had such a great summer--I hope you have too!

Morning Glories

I love floral images and being able to color them in just about any color. That's exactly what I did with this image called Morning Glories.
They reminded me of Pansies, so I went straight for the purple. I think this turned out ok, what do you think? Have a great day!!

Travel Plans...

More yummy stamps from the Travel-Full Sheet available HERE. I truly ♥ this stamp set! Our family is taking a short trip over to London this coming Monday, so I wanted to make my hubby a little hug with a fold in the middle. :c)

Techie Butterflies

Good Morning Stampers!! Jane Bosi, here, sharing a little IB4S love!

I was compelled the minute I saw this stamp (Zebra Butterfly Collage) to use it for this technique! The technique is called Triple Mosaic and can be found in the June 2006 edition of the Technique Junkie Newsletter.

After completing the technique piece, I stamped again on kraft cardstock and pieced the butterfly on top--making him all sparkly with my black Spica glitter pen. It looks fantastic in real life!

The inside of the card houses another great stamp from I Brake For Stamps. It's from the Inspiration Plate #3 (as is the "Pray Often" sentiment) and reads:

The Prayer of Jabez
Oh, that you would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me,
and that you would keep me f rom evil,
that I may not cause pain.
1 Chronicles 4:10
I hope you're all having a great day!

Baby Love

Can I just say......I love, love, LOVE this image!!! It's called Sleeping Baby and it couldn't be more precious. Sadly, my baby days are over--we have five. If they didn't turn into teenagers, I might consider a few more ;) But, I was delighted to learn that my neighbor is expecting her first--I just had to let her know how happy I am for her!
My background piece uses the Worn Wallpaper technique from the Technique Junkie Newsletter, August 2010 edition. I stamped the Sleeping Baby image on both smooth white and kraft cardstock. After trimming the image on white cardstock, I colored with Copic markers and pieced it on top of the main image piece. (The sentiment is from Amuse) The image piece is cut with a Nestibility--truthfully, I can't remember what it's called.....Label something :)
Pretty easy card, pretty sweet baby!
Now, you try...

I'm planning to use this this journal to keep track of all of the wonderful stamps I have from IBFS. I used a 7-Gypsies book cover set and then bound it with my Bind-it-all. I heat embossed the images using black embossing powder. I love how detailed these stamps are.

Dragon

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend! As soon as I saw this stamp in the store, I knew I had to have it, I love creating with fantasy images. It does have more detail in them but I think that's what makes them so magical. This image is called Dragon.
I chose to keep the card simple since I wanted the image to stand out. One of the great things about this stamp is that it could be to a male or female, for an all occasion card. I had fun coloring it and will be heading to the store for more! See ya soon!

Eiffel Rose Collage Stamp

The Eiffel Rose Collage stamp is available HERE. I love the fine detail of this stamp; which is wonderful for embossing, but also for coloring using various mediums such as markers, chalks, watercolor paints, etc. This is the smaller version of the stamp but is also available in a larger size as well.

Happy August Monday!!

Greetings, Friends! I thought I'd start the week/month off with a brief intro and project share!!

My name is Jane Bosi and I'm honored to be a new member of the IBFS Design Team! I'm mom to five goofy kids (6 if you count the hubster!) and live in Wisconsin.
Today, I'm participating in the Technique By Design Blog Hop (TJNL) so, I thought I'd share my project here too!

My card features the Worn Wallpaper Technique and one of my favorite images from IBFS. You can find the Mother and Child image here. I masked off the main image and then used my Copic airbrush to color the sky; Copic markers for the rest of the image. The love with butterfly is one stamp and came to me on Half Plate #058--another of my favorites! (You'll learn, I say that a lot!) A few die cut scallop borders to finish things off--nice and easy!

I hope you'll join in on the fun blog hop--after all, it's monday--you might need a fun little distraction!

TTFN, Jane
